Over the course of the past two years, for the benefit of some 3.8 million visitors, we have blogged on many subjects — the 2008 presidential election, war, peace, economics, race relations, culture, etc. Never, however, has any post generated as many comments as my April 24 post about the talent-deficient vocalist, Champagne Dream, of whom I wrote:
Certainly I’m not alone in guessing that somebody at Blaze Records got the hots for a 19-year-old stripper and said, “Yeah, baby, I’ll make you a star . . .”
That post is now at 128 comments. It seems to have got rolling at 2:36 a.m. Friday, with Sandy’s comment (#28) and then on Saturday morning, blues musician Jeff Todd jumped in to say that the proprietor of Blaze Records was a sleazeball. (Which makes him different from every other record company executive . . . how?) Then somebody mentioned a singer named Cheyenne West and next thing you know, there’s a catfight in the comments involving none other than Champagne Dream herself, who appears at comment #60. Oh, and somebody posted this photo of Champagne Dream:
For the record, I cannot vouch for the accuracy of any of what people write in the comments. It may be that the proprietors of Blaze Records are perfectly legitimate and ethical. And it may be that Champagne Dream can sing.
So now I’ve got the blogospheric equivalent of a “Jerry Springer Show” episode in the comments of a two-week-old post that I just put up as a bit of weekend snark. But I guess it goes to show the unpredictable nature of online viral phenomena. Speaking of which, I just remembered an anniversary. Heh.

Blaze Records USA/Tony Calabrese is a fake label and doesn’t know how to make videos or choose people who can sing. Check out his page on YouTube and see the crap he has posted as “professional”. ROFLMAO
You Tube page:
Oh Bobby/Tony Blaze Records ain’t going to grow no where but down. I am hiring a private investigator just for the heck of it to prove you are nothing.
Then we shall see if the girls you have on your fake label are of age or underage. Maybe you should start packing your bags for prison. And we all know that “bitches” in prison don’t take kindly to perverts and those who take advantage of underage kids.
Take a trip over to his page to see his pics of his house:

Only a dumb ass would post their house pics on the internet. That dumb ass would be Tony Calabrese.
Didn’t I see on the very first thread that Tony Calabrese has a criminal record of where bands sued him and other cases against him? Didn’t I read that he had quite a few? I think I’ll Google on over and see if I can dig them up.

Truth / Tupelo first off there you are talking for other people again. In regard to posts 119 – 125. Now that I have taken the time to once again research your invalid claims. Here are my findings. First off since when is a CIVIL case a CRIMINAL record. Way too funny losers. Secondly, you seem to have listed CIVIL cases from a Mr. Calabrese that is not the same Mr. Calabrese that owns Blaze Records USA. Once again, nice try but next time have your facts correct. Therefore my conclusion based on facts is that you are merely a vigilante group of people with no life that are here for the sole purpose of slandering and harassing a record label and it’s Artists. Perhaps it is because of your own life’s failures. FYI: To date there are 27 persons with the same name Anthony Calabrese residing in Ohio. The correct Mr. Calabrese that owns Blaze Records USA has no CRIMINAL record whatsoever and in fact has only had a mere seatbelt violation in the past 22 years. If you are going to try to pull facts out of your ass at least reach far enough in to your rectum to pull out TRUE facts. My daughter is on the Blaze Records USA label and I have completely researched all claims that you have made, only to find them false. Once again, go get a life and stop harassing record labels and their Artists.

Bobby/Tony YOU are so full of crap. You know those site links are ALL about you. Case in point: You asked, “First off since when is a CIVIL case a CRIMINAL record”. LOL
Nice try at trying to sway to another direction. But it won’t work! You have a criminal mind, and somewhere on the other thread, it was said that Tony Calabrese stole a guitar from Jeff Todd. That’s criminal.

EL CENTRO, Calif. – A magnitude-5.1 earthquake struck the seismically active California-Mexico border region Tuesday, shaking a wide area of Southern California. There were no immediate reports of damage.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake struck at 5:38 p.m. and was centered 18 miles west-southwest of El Centro, the Imperial County seat in the state’s southeastern corner.
The region on both sides of the border has been shaking with aftershocks since a magnitude-7.2 quake struck in northern Baja California on April 4.
Tuesday’s quake was felt at San Diego’s Petco Park, about 90 miles to the west, and in adjacent counties. The USGS website for citizen reports showed responses from as far north as Los Angeles, 175 miles away.
Imperial County Sheriff’s Department dispatcher Veronica Marron said the quake was strongly felt but there were no immediate reports of damage.
Carla Lopez, 17, a hostess and cashier at the Burgers and Beer bar in El Centro, said the shaking lasted at least 20 seconds.
“It was strong but nothing fell,” she said. “All the customers just looked around, nobody ran out or anything. If it went on any longer, I would have run though.”
At the Styles and Smiles salon, bottles of shampoo rattled, but the haircuts and massage therapy sessions continued.
“We just try to keep the customers relaxed,” said owner Lourdes “Lulu” Castro. “We’re used to it. We were just like ‘OK, here it comes.'”

WASHINGTON – Political novice Rand Paul rode support from tea party activists to a rout in Kentucky’s Republican Senate primary Tuesday night, jolting the GOP establishment. Democratic Sen. Arlen Specter lost his struggle for political survival in Pennsylvania, a five-term incumbent offering experience to voters clamoring for change.
Another Democratic incumbent, Sen. Blanche Lincoln, led narrowly in early returns in her race for nomination to a third term in Arkansas, but she risked being thrown into a costly run-off.
In a fourth race with national implications, Democrat Mark Critz moved ahead of Republican Tim Burns in a contest to fill out the final few months in the term of the late Rep. John Murtha in Pennsylvania. Each political party invested nearly $1 million in that contest and said the race to succeed the longtime Democratic lawmaker was something of a bellwether for the fall.
The conservative Paul, savoring his triumph over Secretary of State Trey Grayson, told supporters: “I have a message, a message from the tea party, a message that is loud and clear and does not mince words: We have come to take our government back.”
But the same energy that helped Paul to victory presented problems to be handled carefully by the Republicans in the run-up to November, when control of both houses of Congress will be at stake.
Paul has said he might not support his fellow Kentuckian, McConnell, for a new term as party leader. And no sooner had Tuesday’s results been posted than Richard Viguerie, a longtime conservative warrior, suggested McConnell step aside.
The far-flung races took place a little less than five months before the midterm elections. President Barack Obama backed incumbents in his party’s races, but despite the stakes for his legislative agenda the White House insisted he was not following the results very closely.
Whatever the fate of the parties, public opinion polls — and the defeat of two veteran lawmakers in earlier contests — already had turned the campaign into a year of living dangerously for incumbents.
High unemployment, an economy just now emerging from the worst recession in generations and Congress’ decision to bail out Wall Street giants in 2008 all added to voters’ unease, polls said. In a survey released shortly before the polls closed, ABC said voter expectations for the economy had turned optimistic for the first time in six years. At that, only 33 percent of those polled said so in the network’s polling, compared with 29 percent saying the opposite.
On the busiest primary night of the year so far, Specter lost to two-term Rep. Joe Sestak.
With nearly two-thirds of the precincts reporting, Sestak had 53 percent of the vote and Specter 47 percent.
Former Rep. Pat Toomey easily won the Republican nomination — six years after losing to Specter in a GOP primary.
In Arkansas, Sen. Blanche Lincoln was gaining almost exactly half the vote in Arkansas in a three-way race as she sought to escape a politically debilitating run-off.
Lt. Gov. Bill Halter was running second.
In Oregon, Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden faced little opposition for nomination to a third full term.
In Kentucky, Paul had 59 percent of the vote with returns counted from 85 percent of the precincts, compared to 36 percent for Grayson, who had been recruited to the race by the state’s dominant Republican, U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
In a Democratic primary that commanded far less national attention, Attorney General Jack Conway defeated Lt. Gov. Daniel Mongiardo and will face Paul in the fall.
In Kentucky, Grayson had the support of McConnell as well as other establishment figures. But Paul countered with endorsements — and the political energy that flowed along with them — from tea party activists, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina, a conservative eager to push his party rightward in advance of the broader fall campaign.
In an interview with The Associated Press, Palin called Paul’s victory a “wake-up call for the country.”
According to his website, Paul, 47 and an ophthalmologist, is a “career doctor, not a politician.” He favors a balanced budget and paying off the national debt over time, but the website mentions no specifics.
He opposes all federal bailouts of private industry and government subsidies for alternative energy sources such as solar and wind power.
He has called Washington lobbyists a “distinctly criminal class” and favors banning lobbying and campaign contributions by anyone holding a federal contract exceeding $1 million.
The race marked the third time that tea party activists, a collection of disparate groups without a central political structure, have placed their stamp on Republican races.
Their votes at a Utah Republican convention helped deny a spot on the ballot to Sen. Bob Bennett, a conservative judged as not sufficiently so. And their backing helped propel one-time longshot Republican Marco Rubio to a lead in the pre-primary polls in Florida’s Senate race, prompting Gov. Charlie Crist to quit the party and run as an independent.
So far, one Democrat has lost his race for a new term this year. In West Virginia, Democratic Rep. Alan Mollohan fell in a primary to an opponent who highlighted ethics issues.
Eager to avoid long-term fallout from a bruising primary, GOP leaders in Kentucky set a unity breakfast for Saturday.
The state’s Senate seat is one of 10 or more that appear likely to remain competitive until Election Day, and one that Republicans can ill afford to lose if they are to make a serious run at challenging the Democratic majority. The seat is now held by Sen. Jim Bunning, but McConnell was so concerned about Bunning’s ability to win a new term that he muscled the two-term lawmaker to the sidelines and recruited Grayson to run.
Paul, the son of Rep. Ron Paul, a former GOP presidential contender, entered the race with other ideas.

President Barack Obama backed incumbents in his party’s races, but despite the stakes for his legislative agenda the White House insisted he was not following the results very closely.
There were gubernatorial races in Oregon and Pennsylvania.
Attorney General Tom Corbett won the Republican nomination in Pennsylvania with ease. Dan Onorato led three rivals for the Democratic nomination.
In Arkansas, the Democratic Senate race took on trappings of a clash of outside interests. Records on file with the Federal Election Commission showed outside groups had spent nearly $10 million to sway the outcome.
Lincoln positioned herself as an independent-minded Democrat not beholden to her party. Halter’s campaign was backed by labor unions unhappy with Lincoln’s opposition to a government option under health care, legislation making it easier for unions to organize and trade legislation. Little Rock businessman D.C. Morrison also ran.
Among Republicans, Rep. John Boozman took on eight lesser-known rivals for party nomination to the Senate.
Arkansas state law provides for a primary runoff on June 8 if no one achieves a majority.
As if primaries weren’t enough, both parties had other concerns.
Rep. Mark Souder, a conservative Republican from Indiana, abruptly announced he would resign on Friday, admitting he had had an affair with a woman on his congressional payroll. Democrats said his resignation would make the seat competitive in the fall.
And Democrat Richard Blumenthal, the Connecticut attorney general running for the Senate, disputed a newspaper report that he once lied about his Vietnam record. Republicans focused on the report, hoping it would increase their chances of winning the seat.

Funny how Blaze Records USA/Tony Calabrese/Bobby took the time to Google, how many people with his same name there are in Ohio? But, people when you go to the links you will be able to tell that its him.
Once again: Blaze Records USA/Tony Calabrese is a fake label and doesn’t know how to make videos or choose people who can sing. Check out his page on YouTube and see the crap he has posted as “professional”. ROFLMAO
Mike I do believe that one of those sites mentioned him as owner of Distinctive Sound and Entertainment. He does have a distinctive sound…rather his “wailing cats” have distinctive sound. LOL
Either way it still remains that Blaze Records USA is not legit label and Tony Calabrese is a rip off, and cannot produce anything.

Nine candidates are vying for the Republican nomination. However, two of the candidates seem to have distanced themselves from the rest. Bucks County commissioner Jim Cawley received the party’s endorsement, but York County businessman Steve Johnson is also polling strong. Cawley cites his experience in running government offices, while Johnson campaigns as an anti-Harrisburg outsider who can shake things up.

The sign outside the Pensacola Beach marina says “We’re Still Fishing,” but that’s not really true.
The federal government announced Tuesday it is nearly tripling the size of an area in the Gulf of Mexico that’s closed to fishing because of a massive oil spill off the coast of Louisiana.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said it was closing nearly 46,000 square miles, or about 19 percent of federal waters, beginning at 6 p.m.
That’s up from the 7 percent of the Gulf that’s been closed to fishing boats since shortly after an offshore oil rig exploded April 20, killing 11 workers. Rig operator BP PLC estimates that the blown-out well has leaked more than 5 million gallons.
The spill has scared off charter fishing customers at the marina here, even though the water they’d normally trawl is still open to fishing. The 30 boats were almost all tied to their slips Tuesday and Jerry Andrews, the captain of the Entertainer, had the dock to himself.
“Usually you’d see 15 or 20 people walking up and down out here asking about the fishing. Three-fourths of these slips would be empty,” said Andrews, a Pensacola native who has been fishing here for 34 years.

The eldest grandson of former President Jimmy Carter has won a suburban Atlanta state Senate seat in a special election Tuesday night.
Jason Carter became the first in his family to win elected office since his grandfather took the White House more than three decades ago.
Unofficial results showed Carter claiming 65 percent of the vote to fellow Democrat Tom Stubbs’ 23 percent.
The 34-year-old Carter celebrated at a restaurant Tuesday night with his grandparents and other family members.
During the race, Carter focused more on the issues than on his famous grandfather. His website made scant mention of the former president, instead focusing on the younger Carter’s life as a husband, father, Peace Corps volunteer, attorney and Democratic activist.
Just days before the election, however, Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter stumped with the candidate, passing out fliers in an Atlanta neighborhood and surprising residents going about their usual Saturday business.
The district is heavily Democratic and Jimmy Carter is still a popular figure among some Georgia Democrats. The elder Carter served two terms in the Georgia Senate before becoming the state’s governor in 1971. His son — Jason’s father Jack — was the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate in Nevada in 2006 but lost to Republican John Ensign.
Key issues in Tuesday’s race centered on solutions to metro Atlanta’s transportation problems and opposition to funding cuts to schools.
The seat became vacant when former Democratic state Sen. David Adelman left to become the U.S. ambassador to Singapore.

Consumer prices fell in April for the first time in 13 months, giving the Federal Reserve more room to keep interest rates at historic lows to aid the economy. That’s good news for borrowers, but not for savers.
Record-low rates help borrowers who qualify for loans and want to take on more debt. The prime lending rate, used to set rates on some credit cards and consumer loans, is at its lowest point in decades.
But low rates hurt savers. They’re especially hard for people on fixed incomes who earn scant returns on their savings.
The 0.1 percent decrease in overall prices last month was pulled down by gas prices, which are expected to drop further this summer.
Core inflation, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, was flat in April, according to the Labor Department report Wednesday. Over the past 12 months, core inflation has risen just 0.9 percent — the smallest increase in 44 years.
The recession in 2007 and 2008 has kept inflation so low that some economists worry about the possibility of deflation — a destabilizing period of falling prices and wages.
“With the unemployment rate so close to 10 percent, it is entirely understandable that the Fed wants to stick with its commitment to leave rates at near-zero,” said Paul Ashworth, senior U.S. economist at Capital Economics.
Ashworth said he thinks the Fed won’t start raising rates until late next year — and possibly not until 2012.
Economists had expected overall prices and core prices to edge up 0.1 percent in April. The drop in overall prices was the first decline since a similar dip in March 2009.
Energy prices fell 1.4 percent, the biggest one-month decline since March 2009. Gasoline prices dropped 2.4 percent. Analysts said they expect further declines in coming months as crude oil prices are down nearly 20 percent since April.
Food costs rose 0.2 percent, the same modest increase posted in March. Economists had expected a bigger increase because of a winter freeze on Florida vegetable and citrus crops.
Clothing costs dropped by 0.7 percent in April. The cost of new vehicles was unchanged last month. Airline tickets rose by 2.2 percent, one of the few areas to show price pressures last month.
Joel Naroff, president of Naroff Economic Advisors, said stable prices have allowed consumers to spend more freely despite slow growth in income and high unemployment. He said most businesses are “dealing with a sluggish economy and that means they have very little pricing power.”
Inflation at such low levels raises concerns of deflation. But most economists believe that threat remains remote. The overall economy has begun growing again and hiring is starting to pick up. The United States has not had to battle deflation since the 1930s.
