Coolest. Swag. Evah!

Posted on | May 15, 2010 | 21 Comments

Something special for someone special:

Here’s the design featured on the mug:

That first mug is just a sample, and I’ve placed an initial order for six dozen. Let me emphasize that no one can buy these mugs. These are gifts — just a small token of our appreciation for the readers who have contributed to keep the blog going. When the first shipment of mugs arrives, first priority will be to send mugs to those who have been our most reliable tip-jar hitters so far.

It will likely take a few weeks for me to dragoon my kids into getting the first order packed and shipped. Once we’ve got it down to a system, however, we can re-order and we also hope to make other cool stuff available in the future.

    Little bit of overacting… otherwise, it was pretty funny.

    @Patrick,
    Overacting? You were expecting, maybe, Humphrey Bogart? 😉

    “Overacting”? Good thing that Patrick didn’t see the version where we wore red noses and floppy shoes.

    One meeee-llion dollars!

    C’mon, man. Don’t be so materialistic! People might think I’m a greedy right-wing capitalist or something.

    It’s the thought that counts.

    Especially if it counts somewhere upwards of $25 . . .

    1) The $25 threshold is smart. Not too high, but a goodly amount.

    2) Patrick: Stacy and Smitty were merely following the Billy May’s Style of selling. It works and endears you to people when you die. The only thing missing was: And if you act know, we’ll double your order!

    3) Stacy: You need a better tag line. How about: Stacy McCain: His Tip Jar Is Insane!!!

    4) Smitty: Don’t Bogart that mug, my friend.

    If I were Charles ‘Little’ Johnson and I were posting about this, I would title my posting: Coming Soon: Tip Jar Hitler Mugs.
