    The contraceptive mentality is so powerful in Western culture right now that it is virtually impossible to find any detailed reservation about artifical contraception outside of conservative Catholic circles. Good for The Other McCain for publishing an analysis that is designed to get folks thinking about the downsides to artificial contraception.

    I’d like to rebut this assertion, but I’m afraid that I can’t. The non-Catholic Christian world, while generally anti-abortion, seems to unconcerned about contraception in general. My take: a couple should be deeply in prayer and make very sure they grasp the specific reason they feel led to use contraception before so doing.

    Interesting (and sad) comment by Mark in Spokane. I know of a few evangelical Christians who acknowledge the problems associated with birth control, but they are few in number and don’t seem to have the same fight in them that the Catholics do.
