Liz Carter Comes to Washington, D.C.

What an amazing coincidence that I just happened to run into the Georgia 4th District congressional candidate:

The Democratic incumbent, Hank Johnson, is notorious for having said that overpopulation could cause the island of Guam to tip over and capsize. He’s also been ineffective in representing the suburban Atlanta district. Liz Carter was endorsed last month by Red State, where Caleb Howe wrote:

For the first time in nearly two decades Georgia’s District 4, which was previously home to Rep. Cynthia McKinney, currently the home for the great sport of island tipping, finally has a viable, conservative contender:
Liz Carter.
Liz is neither a politician nor an attorney. She’s a concerned citizen and small business owner with over 18 years of real executive experience. She’s managed multi-million dollar budgets and sat at board tables making tough decisions. . . .

Read the rest of that. You can find Liz on Facebook or follow her on Twitter, and visit LizCarterForCongress.com.

Here are a couple of photos from Tuesday night’s entirely coincidental meeting with Liz and some of her campaign supporters, who gathered in downtown D.C. for what’s called a “Tweet-up.”

Republican campaign czarina Cheryl Prater with the candidate. Hate to break your hearts, guys, but both of these lovely ladies are married. However . . .

Here we see Cheryl with Sarah Desprat, who is 26, single and recently moved to D.C. to work as operations director of the National Review Institute.

Miss Desprat is not part of my plot to overthrow the Lowry regime. Yet.

BTW, in other Georgia political news, Jumping in Pools reports there will be a runoff in the GA-9 special election. There were eight candidates on the ballot, and the lone Democrat finished fifth with less than 6% of the vote. The runoff will be June 8.

Still hoping to get down there to cover that race, looking more likely than pa-12 these days.

Liz is great, and would be a great Representative.

That said, the district is 54% black, 36% white, with a Cook PVI of D+24. It is one of the very safest Democratic districts in the country – the 35th most Democratic of all, according to Cook. There are 400 seats easier for a Republican to win.

Of course, I suppose Hayworth supporters are predisposed to wild flights of fantasy.

Mr Stacy McCain – Thank you for a great interview, it was so nice meeting you in person.

For those doubting a Republican win in November, watch the race! Congressman Johnson has a heated primary and may not be running against me in the general. That said, even if he does, this district is ready for real representation and has shifted to over 38% independent. District 4 is not safe. I hope you join me and follow the race, it is going to be a fun one! And by the way, race is not an issue in this race – I will unite this district. For to long, the representatives who have held this seat have ignored us. I live in my district, know the people and care.

Liz Carter a great Conservative? Better check ur facts – Is this Site getting paid by her campaign to endorse her – or “just walking by and notice her” video – Gosh – did you Walk by and See Corey Ruth too? Did you bother checking him out? He is a Conservative, For School Choice and will make a Great Representative – Has anyone Forgotten what they had before Hank?

Not good – If you are supposedly educating people, you certainly are drinking the Libertarian Anarchist Kool-Aide – Did Liz tell you she is lying to her Voters? Calling Corey a Democrat & what is she telling about her Gay Views? Uh Oh -don’t care what her views are – just don’t lie – what else has she lied about?

LOL – I’ve met Liz and she is not a Libertarian Anarchist, in fact she’s very gracious and spoke positively about all of her challengers. Simple fact is she’s the only one who can beat Hank and who has real executive experience.
Funny how Corey supporters continually attack her and point out her “Gay Views” – read her site and you’d agree with her equality views. She is the TRUE Conservative who wants to uphold the Constitution. Corey constantly talks about putting religion in front of the constitution and “family values”. Funny when he lives with his girlfriend – where’s the “family value” in that.
Goes to show, when you are the candidate to beat everyone wants to attack you. Corey is a “me too” candidate who is so FAR RIGHT WING that he could never win. Just read his facebook – “We need more policies to support family and religious values” or read his “Lets bring all the Haitians to the US on our dime” blog that he wrote. Or listen to his “I’m uniquely qualified to win because I’m black” statements. LAME, go earn your own media coverage.
    GO LIZ

@JanSimpson Gathering what information I can from your incoherent post, something tells me that you have never actually listened to Liz Carter and you seem to be drinking some Kool-Aid of your own.

What Georgia’s 4th had before Hank Johnson was crazy person extraordinaire Cynthia McKinney and I am not sure what that has to do with Liz other than they are polar opposites.

In my meeting with Liz Carter I found her to be a sincere Conservative with concise and clear ideas for economic recovery, job creation and effective fixes for our border.

So if you like your primary candidate, that is fine. But may I remind you that this blog is also covered by the first amendment. Stacy is free to write whatever, on whomever and in any style he pleases and does not have to speak about your candidate.

May I suggest that instead of exercising your free speech in the form of a drive by slam on someone who I found to be a kind and honest Conservative woman looking to get back to running our country by the Constitution, maybe you should find a way to more effectively voice your support of her opponent in the primary. Posting rude and incoherent comments on blogs does not really cast a positive light on the candidate you are supporting.
