That’s What I’m Talking About

San Diego is an island of American sanity in a sea of blue state idiocy:

I’m sure that you don’t get anywhere near the airspace when the POTUS himself is present, but broadcasting just how fed up the American people are with #OccupyResoluteDesk is pure chewing satisfaction.

No, there isn’t any way an impeachment would get through Chokepoint Reid in the Senate. And no, there isn’t much value to add by having the House waste time on a symbolic impeachment vote. The value here is in getting more people to ponder just what an epic fail this administration has been. Beat that drum after the fashion of an #Occupy hippie, say I. It’s just solid Intelligence Preparation of the Battlespace.

We have an opportunity for impeachment.  It is called the election of November 2012.  If you dislike Barack Obama you can vote for someone else to replace him.

Impeachment Joe, this term, I do not think it means what you think it means.

Obama has already impeached himself, though not in the formal, majority-vote-of-the-House way.

Next November the electorate will have the opportunity to substitute its will for that of the do-nothing Senate.

I’d still like to see Holder impeached for Fast and Furious. Then hang him around the neck of any Senator that didn’t vote for it.

Pity Obama didn’t get to see the banner.

One think I noticed when I went back East last summer was the swarms of banner planes over the beaches.  I don’t recall seeing many if any over LA; DHS airpspace restrictions or what?  We do still get the advertising blimps with the giant LED arrays…

Actually, Reid and the senate have nothing to do with impeachment.  Constitutionally impeachment happens solely in the House.  After the president is impeached (removed from office) it goes to the Senate for trial for high crimes and misdemeanors.  Constitutionally,  the house can impeach for any reason it wants.  If they don’t like how he combs his hair, they can impeach him.

What you say is true. However, an impeachment from the House has all the meaning of a Herman Cain allegation if the Senate isn’t going to do the correct thing, which Reid will reliably avoid.

Uh, excuse me, and admittedly I might be wrong about this, but if the House impeaches the President, then the Senate has to follow through. It’s not like voting on a bill, its a damn trial, and once the House votes to have the trial, the Senate has no choice but to follow through. Harry Reid has nothing to do with it. Like I said, I might be wrong, but that’s the impression I’ve always had.

Per Wikipedia: “The House of Representatives has the sole power of impeaching, while the United States Senate has the sole power to try all impeachments.”
So, yeah, the House can accuse BHO of being everything but a human being, but, with Chokepoint Harry in place, it’s acceleration with no mass, i.e. forceless.

Unfortunately, impeachment does not mean removal.  And removal is what we need.  Come on, 2012!
