Bill Maher: ‘Hey, Y’Know Something? Mitt Romney’s a Rich Mormon, Isn’t He?’

Posted on | May 5, 2012 | 15 Comments

Isn’t this just about the kind of “humor” you’d expect from the pustulent syphilitic chancre on America’s cable-TV sphincter?

“Donating your money to help repair this kid’s cleft palate, or to feed these hungry people, that’s charity. Giving money so Brice and Spencer can spend two years in Namibia spreading nonsense about celestial marriage and how Jesus is coming back to Missouri – not charity. . . . Now, I don’t want to re-fight last Friday’s show or get into a pissing match with the Internet, but the usual suspects are bitching that I was wrong [to say Mitt Romney’s] charitable giving doesn’t count, because it all goes to his cult . .”

Hey, Bill Maher: Aren’t there any rich Jews or rich Catholics in the Democratic Party whose charitable giving you could criticize? How come you’re suddenly paying attention to this issue? Is it just because a rich Mormon has recently locked up the Republican Party presidential nomination? Why don’t you admit that you’re nothing but an opportunistic partisan hypocrite and stop pretending to be a comedian?

He’s spreading dangerous poison here. He seems to assume that all money is government money and we are all just privileged to use it however the government says we can spend it. Did you catch that? It’s Mitt Romney’s money, and Mormonism is a religion, and if he gives it to the Mormon church, then it’s charity because Mitt Romney believes it’s charity. His religion teaches him that it’s charity. Whether Bill Maher believes it is charity is beside the point. The money is Mitt’s and he is spending it in accordance with his religious belief. This idea that the majority can decide which religious views are valid and which are not is very dangerous.

Indeed, just about every idea that Bill Maher has is dangerous.

    He’s not spreading anything, IMO.

The narrow and limited audience of people who tune into Maher’s HBO show eat up his religion-bashing, nasty leftist schtick.  The only decent human beings among them are the few who are watching to document his outrages, and their efforts are misguided because they only give wider range to the sick bastard’s noxious views.

Maher doesn’t change any votes, NONE, and those who think he is funny may end up repeating his perverted humor and hurting their own cause.  Personally, I saw the show once several years ago and haven’t had any need to see it again.

I would say why I think Bill Maher hates the Mormons so much, but it would be wrong to call somebody a faggot.

Good thing he’s only a comedian and not an elected official.

It’s pretty clear that Maher knows nothing about the Mormon church.  Missionaries pay their own way–a financial sacrifice in addition to a tithe.

What the Mormon church does with tithe money is building meeting houses, temples and support other elements of it’s core mission–making Christians.

The work of the Mormon church and others at ‘making Christians’, has made the U.S. the most charitable country in the world.  Romney is simply do what he has demonstrated real talented for–investing well.

I don’t know who is responsible for making execrable human beings like Bill Maher, but I’m glad that for the most party, they don’t reproduce in any numbers–that would require personal sacrifice inimical to left-wing psycho-pathology.

If Oz’s Wicked Witch of the West was a misanthropic pasty-white homosexual, Bill Maher would be the witch instead of Margaret Hamilton. If anybody deserves a liberal dose of sexually transmitted death-sentence, it’s Bill Maher.

Obama’s an elected official, he is dangerous, and the Joker’s on us!

Donating “one huge”  to Obama sure isn’t charity.

“Charity” would be cancelling Maher’s stupid show.  The IQ of his tiny audience would go up 100 points.

    Not per capita, alas.

Bill Maher is a Socialist so it’s unfair to critize Bill Maher for not critizing Democrats. Socialists never give anything to charity. Isn’t that this the commandment of socialism, after “there is no god but me”?

Hey Mick, mostly agree except for the “make Christians” part.

The LDS church spends its evangelism money to spread the Mormon message, not the Christian message.

That said, I have no problem with Mitt giving to whatever charity he wants to.
