Friday News Dump: D.C. Won’t Prosecute David Gregory’s Clear Violation of Law

Posted on | January 11, 2013 | 7 Comments

District of Columbia Attorney General Irvin Nathan won’t prosecute David Gregory “despite the clarity of the violation of this important law” — the city’s ban on high-capacity magazines — and as Professor Glenn Reynolds says, “you can tell how proud they are of this decision by the fact that it came out on a Friday afternoon.”

So the Network Celebrity Loophole in D.C.’s draconian gun laws is now an established principle of jurisprudence in our nation’s capital.

Nathan is apparently a good friend of Gregory’s wife, so it could just be old-fashioned nepotism instead of elitism.

Cool. DA Irvin just opened DC to a crapload of civil suits for unequal protection under the law, which we who pay taxes will have to pay to settle.
