The meltdown of the #FreeKate victimhood narrative evidently has shrunk the #FreeKate movement down to a hard core of irrational fanatics, among them Rebekah Becky Majors-Manley. News that a local gay-rights group was not supporting accused sex offender Kaitlyn Hunt inspired this Facebook rant from Majors-Manley:




You noticed, I’m sure, that at some point Majors-Manley’s argument ceased to be about Kaitlyn Hunt and instead became a story about how much Majors-Manley blames her parents for ruining her life.

Are we surprised that supporters of Kaitlyn Hunt, who consider a sex offender to be a heroic figure, are not mentally stable people?

And are we surprised that Obama got re-elected?

Basically, people like this, their whole life is an endless revenge fantasy — they’re going to get back at their parents, get back at the people who made fun of them when they were ugly kids, whatever. It is people like this, The Perpetually Aggrieved, to whom the Democrat Party panders. Because they are told over and over that their grievances are legitimate and that they are victims, these people magnify in their demented minds the evil of those they blame for their problems, and focus this blame on the Republican Party.

    Notice how essential victimhood is to Major-Manley’s sense of identity: “I AM A SEX ABUSE SURVIVOR.” Well, this is a very terrible thing, but why does it define your entire identity? And how does she think voting Democrat (as she declares on her Twitter profile) is a means of compensating for this? There is no logic to it, except that Democrats are the party who deliberately feed this sense of victimhood as a basis of politics.

    To point out the irrationality of this belief system is to invite the accusation of insensitivity to victimhood, as if “sensitivity” were the be-all, end-all of human wisdom. And so you either buy into that twisted worldview, or you’re a “hater.”

    This is how simplistic their thinking is, except that it’s not really thinking at all.

    Hmm. Which. Wow. Well, think of this: How far are we from the day when 14-year-olds will be able to emancipate themselves because their parents object to their homosexual acts?

    Consider a future of large numbers of emancipated teens, on the streets, looking for shelter, and OFA willing to take them in, feed them, shelter them, indoctrinate them…..

  22. And that’s what is so twisted. She thinks that publicizing the name of the alleged victim in a sex crime investigation is the right thing to do. Coming from someone who purportedly was a victim of sexual abuse herself…the head spins. It’s reached truther territory.

  24. I am sure she was treated just awful at home or by the teachers , coaches and was always picked last , did not get that pony… whatever, the old saying fits well with most crap these days.. You can’t fix stupid

  26. It’s hard to know where to start with a rant like Ms.Manley-
    Major’s, but what is quite evident is that she is profoundly disturbed. Clearly, she desires to bring as many innocents into her twisted fold as possible, because misery loves company. What better way than advising a 14 year old child to follow your own screwed up path.

  33. Yeah, she says she knows her parents were trying to protect her so how evil could they be? Certainly she’s ARROGANT enough to think her sexual abuse background qualifies her to advise anyone? Pretty fricking easy to spout inciteful crap from the sidelines but the fact is that in her case and in Kate’s victims case the ones legally responsible for their actions and decisions were their parents. That’s primarily because they haven’t matured enough to make important decisions and are easily misled by others. Some of them never grow up. Obviously, this is one of them, urging someone to hurt others and risk their own safety…..because she said so. Hopefully the young lady she’s trying so hard to convince is more mature than she. Oh, and just for the record, I raised two daughters and the only time they ever tried to guilt trip me with a line of crap because I wouldn’t let them do something, I gave them both 1.37 and told them to go buy themselves a new mom if they thought I was so damned unfair. It only happened once and they were 8 & 12.

  35. Note the first sentence in the third image, which begins, “Know this:” It seems the perfect descriptor of Ms. Manley-Major.
    And, if indeed her own parents surrendered to her tantrums and “demands,” then we can catch a glimpse of what lies behind a tirade like this.

  36. Yeah, my parents said similar things to me and behold, I used them on my kids. It’s amazing what the thought of giving up the security of parental provision and guidance does for behavior issues. Indeed, my kids learned to appreciate being able to say, “my parents won’t allow it,” or “my parents would kill me.” It takes away all the pressure to do the right thing. We hope, of course, that eventually, doing the right thing becomes habit.

  49. RN broads have certain ethics that it’s licensee must follow. Not releasing the name of a underage victim of sexual abuse is one of them. Besides that this woman is *SO* disturbed I would not want her around patients regardless.
