The #TexasWomenForever Baby-Killer Democrat Online Fund-Raising Flop

Last night, I noticed Amy Kremer of Tea Party Express having this discussion with someone on the #TexasWomenForever hashtag:

At the time, I didn’t realize what was happening: Sarah Silverman and Lizz Winstead were headlining a show in New York that was promoted (at the Web site LadyPartsJustice.com) as an online fundraiser for “The Lilith Fund for Reproductive Equity, Texas Equal Access Fund, Whole Woman’s Health, and Fund Texas Women.”

Alison Turkos, one of the chairs for the New York Abortion Access Fund’s board of directors, explained to ThinkProgress that there’s much more work to be done to ensure that women of all income levels can access the abortion care they need. Federal and state laws restricting taxpayer funding for abortion currently prevent millions of women from using their own insurance coverage to pay for these procedures.
“In an ideal world, we wouldn’t need abortion funds because everyone would have health insurance that includes abortion coverage. Unfortunately, we don’t yet live in that world,” Turkos noted. “Abortion funds are critical resources — the right to abortion is meaningless if it is impossible to afford the actual procedure.”
The telethon, which will be hosted in front of a live audience in New York City, will be streamed on Lady Parts Justice between 7:00 and 10:00 pm EST. The four organizations that will be benefiting from the donations — The Lilith Fund for Reproductive Equity, Texas Equal Access Fund, Whole Woman’s Health, and Fund Texas Women — will also be hosting the video feed on their own sites.

Translation: “Give money to kill Texas babies!”

Twitchy was all over this Skanky Liberal Baby-Killer Show:

raise money for abortions in Texas

No, they are not making this up:

What’s going on here is simple: Texas passed pro-life legislation this summer limiting late-term abortion and Democrats (who are fanatically devoted to killing Texas babies) decided to make the most prominent pro-abortion Democrat in the state, Wendy Davis, the poster girl for their 2014 mid-term election campaign.

Seeking to replicate the “War on Women” theme of Obama’s 2012 campaign, and likely previewing Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign message, Democrats nationwide are pumping money into Texas and hyping the rhetoric of “women’s health” — a theme coordinated with the “community organizing” groups getting millions of federal tax dollars as “Navigators” to sign up people for ObamaCare. That may seem crazy to you or me, but I remember a few months ago it seemed crazy that Terry McAuliffe could beat Ken Cuccinelli in Virginia this way.

As fun as it is to laugh at left-wing kooks, it’s not funny at all when the kooks win elections. Texas Republicans — and especially pro-life Texas Republican women — need to get active, get loud, get organized, and make sure they beat these baby-killing Democrats next fall.

  1. By the ninth week of gestation, a baby has developed sex organs. How is it okay to kill little girls (who have vaginas) in the name of feminism?

  2. If abortion is a right, shouldn’t there be a programme to finance firearm and ammunition purchases for those unable to afford to enjoy their Second Amendment rights too?

  3. Until there is a reliable prenatal test for fetal homosexuality, I’m going to remain vigorously opposed to abortion!!

  4. Can you imagine being a child of one of these rabid pro-abortion types? I cannot imagine the cognitive dissonance when one realizes that one’s life is owed to nothing more than a whim of one’s mother.

  5. When will pro-life social conservatives learn to stay the f*ck out of women’s personal decision’s? You complain about statism and then attempt to use the state to enforce your morality! It’s a joke. Until you piss off with your pro-life, anti-drug, anti-porn, anti-gay, anti-sex crusades libertarians will either not vote for you or will wind up voting for the liberal like we did in Virginia. Word to the wise, people.

  6. It’s not in the name of feminism, silly. It’s in the name of personal freedom. The state has no legal right to tell a woman she has to carry and give birth to a child she doesn’t want. The Supreme Court already decided this. If abortion conflicts with your morals then don’t have one! But trying to ban them because of your religious moral absolutism is not an option.

  7. Maybe this is beyond understanding for you, but it’s not just about the woman. In fact, our primary concern is the one true innocent in the entire situation. Who speaks for them? Certainly not these women.

And you seem much more worked up about social issues than we are, if you declare you won’t vote for us over this rather than vote with us on economic issues that you imply we should be focusing on. Practice what you preach.

  8. So much stupid in just a few lines. Virtually every sentence contains a logical fallacy. Well done! And it truly is rich that you maintain libertarians would vote for liberals over conservatives, given the marvelous record liberals have protecting individual liberties and privacy during the present administration.

  9. I’m fairly certain that my question was based on biology, not religion; after all, i cited embryology, not the Bible. So how is that “religious moral absolutism”?

  10. When there’s a social conservative running like Ken Cuccinelli libertarians would rather vote the liberal than for some bible thumping statist. Evangelicals consistently drag down the Republican ticket with their anti-porn, anti-gay, anti-abortion crusades.

  11. Funny. I seem to recall the Declaration of Independence citing “unalienable rights” of which “life” was one. Given that one must be alive to have freedom, one would think you would be inclined to support maximizing the potential for life. But, then the practice of philosophy is so much more difficult than engaging in consequence free sex when someone else has to pick up the tab, now isn’t it?

  12. It has nothing to do with a woman’s personal decision. Isn’t it a libertarian tenet that your liberty ends where the end of my nose begins? Surely, you can see that a (admittedly tiny) human beings rights are being violated when they get torn apart in the womb. Or alternatively, when else do you arbitrarily assign humanity to a human — and who are you to decide?

  13. It’s in the woman’s body. End of story. It’s no longer your business, so butt out. The idea that you feel you have the right to make a decision like that for another individual who you never even met is the worst kind of arrogance.
