Florida Boys Gone Wild?

Dianna Deeley said it best in a comment:

I keep waiting to be told this story is a hoax.
Instead, it’s a horror show.

True, but it’s also an interesting insight into the weird priorities of modern liberalism. Instead of being enraged about a teenage boy being sexually exploited for the viewing pleasure of perverts, liberals were upset that the boy’s video performances — which are all over the Internet — led to him being “bullied” and suspended from school.

OK, fine. That story had a happy ending:

COCOA, Fla. — An 18-year-old high school senior at the center of a dispute over his appearance on a gay pornography website will return Wednesday to Cocoa High.
A Brevard Schools decision banning him from classes catapulted Robert Marucci into the international spotlight last week; however, the district Tuesday said the teen would be allowed to return to class.
“I’m just ready to return to school, like a normal day,” he said Tuesday.

A normal day? What does he consider “a normal day”?

The definition of “normal” seems very flexible nowadays. Is it “normal” for high school boys to engage in a six-way gay orgy with every sordid moment captured on video for commercial distribution?

Something else about the way the gay-friendly media reported this: It was all quite vague. You might ask, “Did he do . . . that?”

Yes. Yes, he did.

“But did he . . . was he, y’know . . .?”

Yes. Yes, indeed he was. Both ways.

Would you like to research what Robert Marucci did on camera?

No, you probably wouldn’t. Even the “review” sites are not something any normal person would ever want to visit. Nevertheless, it was possible to gather enough information for descriptions less vague than what the gay-friendly news sites offered.

Do you really want to click that link? It’s not too detailed. And I’m left to wonder why the liberal media — who would never dare suggest that there is anything wrong with being gay — is so mysteriously reticent to describe what “being gay” actually involves.

If you didn’t know better, you’d almost think they were ashamed of it.

But go ahead and click the link. Or not. “Lifestyle choices.”

  1. All this attention to the Gay Teen High School Porn Star is just bound to make the transgenders jealous – and just when you were making such progress with them, too.

The big sex scandal at my high school was when the school newpaper published a story from our underground paper claiming the school was run “by the jocks and their mistresses, the cheerleaders.” Oh, there were a couple of girls who got pregnant and disappeared (usually off to live with a relative in another city, not the kind of “disappeared” we see today), but no one talked about them.

Makes one doubt the whole concept of “Lean Forward” . . .

  2. Apparently taking a penis anally is the new definition of being a man of the house, at least according to his mother.

  3. I don’t know what disturbs me more, his career choice, or the luvvies on the left who are happy to embrace it as perfectly normal and acceptable. Seriously there is no longer a bottom line when it comes to lefty morality. Limbo Rock anyone?

  4. The only morality is whether or not it was consensual. Everything else, like who put their peen where, with how many partners, and in what position is irrelevant and no one’s business.

  5. Career choice? He’ll be used up and discarded before his classmates finish their university studies.

  6. The last time I ever heard anything you had to be nineteen to strip in Georgia. Just one of those arbitrary numbers liberals hate. Florida might need to regulate their porno business in a similar manner.

  7. “…so mysteriously reticent to describe what ‘being gay’ actually involves.”
Because the left only gets the world they want by nudging the public along with euphemisms. Look at abortion. Showing photos of it is “a scare tactic.” Reality is their enemy.

  8. It’s come to light in recent months that even some toddlers (!) are “gay” now… And it makes me SICK!

Gay rights and homosexual “marriage” weren’t supposed to affect the rest of society at all, remember?

Reckon it’s all just part of that Emerging Awareness™…

  9. You made a choice of your own free will. You find this behavior disgusting, so you chose not to do it. That’s part of your moral code, part of who you are. For your choice to mean anything, Marucci must have that same choice.

Otherwise, he may only make those choices you approve.

For the rest of his life, you will have to watch him. You will have to control him. You will bear the responsibility. Everything from how and when he has his hair cut to the change in his pocket. What jobs he can get, where he goes out for a few drinks, what songs he sings in the shower, all that is now up to you. That’s the price of forcing your “decency.” It will cost his freedom and your morality.

If you chose and accepted the consequences, so should Marucci.

You may not like the choice he made. You may even tell him so. But it is his choice.

If your beliefs have to be forced onto other people, well, we know how that goes. It’s downright progressive. Show him a better way. Tell him if you want. But don’t you dare control him “for the greater good” or “for his own good.”

Unless you want someone to do the same to you.

  10. Except Marucci won’t be on the hook for the consequences. Look at what has already happened — he’s being treated as if his “choice” is no different than an amusement park job. When he ends up dying from a disease he picks up “going bareback” with strangers for cash, everyone else will be expected to pay for his medical care, for research for a cure, and anyone saying “told you what would happen” will be treated as if they called for a lynching.

  11. I absolutely agree that Marucci should face consequences of his actions.

I stand by what I said.

Forcing someone “for their own good” invites catastrophe. It doesn’t matter how “moral” your stance is.

And yes, I know that modern liberals/progressives WANT perpetual victims who will always be excused for their behavior.

  12. No, it’s very early in my day. I don’t need to feel ill for some kid getting horribly used all day long.

Thanks for taking that bullet for me.

  13. We had a streaker. He tripped and skidded face-down on the street between north and south campus.

There was a great picture in the year book of a very wide-eyed young woman who witnessed this incident.

  14. Really? So there’s a good and evil about how you screw and with who when both parties consent? For you maybe.

  15. You had a point? You’re a perfect example of the modern Christian moralist: A spiritually de-evolved, pretentious, judgmental, prig.

  16. Predictably, there has been the chorus of “it’s consensual, who cares.” Unfortunately, such a response ignores the obvious damage such behavior will cause this young person in the future. Gay or straight, young people who engage in this sort of thing are undoubtedly destroying their hope for any sort of meaningful relationship in the future. The fact that “it’s their own decision,” while true, does not change the fact that something horrific occurred to scar this young man and send him down this path, and it will only get worse.

  17. Pop psychology hogwash claiming that if you make porn you were a victim of childhood abuse. Utter nonsense. In 2013 pornography is lucrative and many people get involved because 1)they love sex, 2)they love money, and 3)it’s far more interesting than being a corporate serf.

  18. Abuse is 40hours a week at McDonalds or WalMart and still needing public assistance to get by. The dick up the ass they give you comes without lubricant and isnt consensual either. They just call it business.

  19. Friction burns can be a real pain.

Of course now they deal with streakers by putting them on sex registries. And high school kids who do porn are treated as oppressed victims just trying to make ends meet.

  20. And your qualifications are what, precisely? Mine are over a quarter century of dealing with troubled young people and adults. Well adjusted people from good homes with loving, firm parents overwhelmingly do not go on to self-destructive “careers” such as this young man.

  21. It was a common conclusion 20 years ago, but in this day and age it’s just a career, and a lucrative one at that. Im not disputing some people have issues, but to declare it as a simple one to one is incorrect, and I think you know that.

  22. You seem to be suggesting that I — or someone else of my general philosophy — is interested in exercising control over Robert Marucci.

My argument, however, is that we have gotten to the point in the Long March of moral relativity that no one is even permitted to suggest that there is anything objectionable in such behavior. Even if you accept the “emerging consensus” rationale of Lawrence v. Texas — which I don’t, but let us stipulate it as a basis for argument — it does not follow that legalized sodomy is immune to criticism.

Yet this is what the arbiters of Political Correctness are attempting to smuggle into the argument, i.e., compulsory approval, a de facto prohibition on criticism of homosexual behavior and its practitioners.

WHO is trying to “control” WHOM here?

  23. My first job was at McDonald’s when I was 14 years old and it still stands as one of the worst work experiences I have ever had. If you work a 40 hour week and due to your salary still need public assistance you are being raped by your employer. Sadly, employers whine about how they wont be able to afford a minimum wage hike, while passing their problems on to the public to fill in the gaps with EBT and other subsidies.

  24. Let me guess, “King of Cups” (“cups” i just learned is multiple ejaculations with a partner) is either the young man himself, the producer of the porn or someone who enjoys gay porn starring a high school student “It’s a great way to make money. Nothing wrong with it at all. Everybody should be thrilled their kid has is a prostitute. Just another career choice.” BWAHAHAHAHAHA. Pathetic.

  25. Utter BS! I earn considerably less than minimum age and receive no foodstamps or any ‘welfare’ payments. Yet I live in a comfortable apartment and have sufficient food. It is called living within your means, idiot. Don’t have $200 sneakers, no iPhone, no BMW. I have a cheap pay as you go phone, a few years old used flatscreen TV, a 4 year old laptop and a 15 year old Jaguar. Life is a comfortable as you make it.

  26. Laws against pornography and obscenity are not “controlling other people.” That’s just emotional hyperbole.

Or do you seriously believe that America hasn’t really existed until our currently decadent times?

  27. You’re comparing committing felony robbery to consensual sex between two adults? Really? Ok, then….

  28. And how are you “paying” for the consequences? And I don’t mean in the abstract, I mean concretely, as in cash. How it effects the society “morally” is subjective and irrelevant to me.

  29. All of us pay in terms of the consequences of low morals. Later we pay when they get reduced to poverty and suck of the welfare state’s teat.
The latter you should understand. The former, however, you are as likely to blow off as you do with anything you don’t like.

  30. No, The Knight of Cups is a tarot card, dummy, representing Pisces. That’s about it. No, Im not the young man, and not gay so I don’t watch gay porn or produce it. This is a matter of free choice by a legal adult and is really none of your concern or the schools. Whether you morally approve is irrelevant. And it beats working minimum wage where you get it up the ass without even asking for it. And no, porn is not prostitution which was legally decided almost 35 years ago. Next.
