Florida Boys Gone Wild?

Dianna Deeley said it best in a comment:

I keep waiting to be told this story is a hoax.
Instead, it’s a horror show.

True, but it’s also an interesting insight into the weird priorities of modern liberalism. Instead of being enraged about a teenage boy being sexually exploited for the viewing pleasure of perverts, liberals were upset that the boy’s video performances — which are all over the Internet — led to him being “bullied” and suspended from school.

OK, fine. That story had a happy ending:

COCOA, Fla. — An 18-year-old high school senior at the center of a dispute over his appearance on a gay pornography website will return Wednesday to Cocoa High.
A Brevard Schools decision banning him from classes catapulted Robert Marucci into the international spotlight last week; however, the district Tuesday said the teen would be allowed to return to class.
“I’m just ready to return to school, like a normal day,” he said Tuesday.

A normal day? What does he consider “a normal day”?

The definition of “normal” seems very flexible nowadays. Is it “normal” for high school boys to engage in a six-way gay orgy with every sordid moment captured on video for commercial distribution?

Something else about the way the gay-friendly media reported this: It was all quite vague. You might ask, “Did he do . . . that?”

Yes. Yes, he did.

“But did he . . . was he, y’know . . .?”

Yes. Yes, indeed he was. Both ways.

Would you like to research what Robert Marucci did on camera?

No, you probably wouldn’t. Even the “review” sites are not something any normal person would ever want to visit. Nevertheless, it was possible to gather enough information for descriptions less vague than what the gay-friendly news sites offered.

Do you really want to click that link? It’s not too detailed. And I’m left to wonder why the liberal media — who would never dare suggest that there is anything wrong with being gay — is so mysteriously reticent to describe what “being gay” actually involves.

If you didn’t know better, you’d almost think they were ashamed of it.

But go ahead and click the link. Or not. “Lifestyle choices.”

  1. Where? In rural flyover country where you can obtain an apartment dirt cheap and the cost of living is less? You probably arent married or have kids either. In NYC and just about any place within striking distance of a major metropolitan center minimum wage is barely enough to live on, especially if you have a child, and requires public assistance to fill the gap. Now, I dont know about you, but I dont feel there’s any reason the public has to pick up the slack so some ivy league exec can get his Aspen vacation or new house. Let him live within his or her means.

  2. Go and pimp out your son for gay porn so he can “get it up the ass” and you both can feel really proud. Congratulations; With Obama’s economy young people can either be baristas or engage in gay prostitution or porn. Or maybe you’re a conservative trolling to try to make liberals look even worse.
    Goodbye,

  3. Newsflash: Neither you nor I deserve any specific remuneration for work. An employer will pay what the market determines the job is worth. If you do not like it, don’t take the job. There’s no involuntary servitude in this country, the last time I checked.

As for the rest of your diatribe, you clearly have never owned a business. (Yes, I have.) It’s the typical economic ignorance which leads people to believe that jobs and wages are somehow a benefit to employers. They are not. They are a cost, a liability. Don’t believe me? Ask any CPA where “wages” are placed on an income and expense statement.

  4. Move from NYC. You have no god-given right to live there if you can’t afford it. If I’m wrong, I’m packing up and moving to St. Bart’s tomorrow.

  5. No, I’ve never collected welfare, so no, wouldn’t understand that at all. Good try at your silly little ad hom though. And the idea that porn leads to welfare is beyond idiotic based on anecdotal evidence alone.

And like i said, i dont care about the supposed moral effects which are based solely on your Christian moral standards which I, and a great deal of the public, dont share.

  6. I dont make minimum wage, and for those who do and live in NYC the ability to pick up and relocate is nil. How would they even afford to do that? They are stuck where they are, unless of course you think living in your car is a suitable alternative? Even better when you’re harassed as a vagrant by police. No, let employers pay a decent wage and stop whining about how they can’t afford it. And you even have to wonder why there is a resentment toward the business community?

  7. And let’s not forget the outrageous amount of money that goes into medical research and treatment, a significant amount of it tax payer subsidized, for these ‘consensual’ perverts. The only reason HIV isn’t the short term death sentence it once was, is thanks to our tax payer dollars. HIV and every other medical condition that is extremely prolific amongst homosexuals will continue to be an unwanted burden on our society.

  8. No, if the employer cant pay decent wages then they employer shouldn’t have a business at all, especially when it’s his employees labor who are making him the lion share of the profits. Even Hayek believed in a Universal Basic Income and he is pretty much the Godfather of conservative free market beliefs.

  9. Surprisingly, an extremely left Australian paper just ran a story on a significant increase in throat and anorectal infections caused by gonorrhoea – 88% in men with a reluctant conclusion “We presume they’re largely men who have sex with men.”

The facts all point to homosexual behavior as being a very unhealthy lifestyle – mentally and physically. It may be consensual, but only a culture determined to self destruct would promote and normalize it.

  10. Can’t handle free will can you? Tough sh*t. No one forced him to do anything, it was his choice. And what options for real money does an 18 year old without a HS diploma even have? NONE. It’s either porn, stripping, or selling weed because working the drive through aint gonna cut it. It sounds like he did some simple math and that;s what he came up with. Dont blame Obama, blame the system.

  11. I have a wife and 7 grandchildren. I live in very Democratic Pinellas County Florida where milk is almost $5 a gallon and it truely isn’t cheap. People can and do live quite nicely on a very small income if they are not fadists and simplythrow away their money. No 30″ rims, no fast food, no BS soda. We make sun tea (30 gallons, $1.45) eat steak ($11.75 a pound which makes 4 4 ounce meals each for the wife and I). We grow herbs in a 2 foot long window box and comb the farmer’s market for the best prices (usually half of that charged in supermarkets and cheaper as wll as healthier than canned). If you are mindful of money and are willing to live within your means, you do not need all the ‘nonessential’ crap you must have. You misintepret the concept of “freedom from want”. It’s not about you not having wants (as in things you desire to have) but rather things you must have (called needs, the real ‘want’. These are limited to shelter and food. No need for a fancy house or apartment unless it’s cost is under one quarter of your take home. Ant more than that is a luxury and not a need. Food enough to sustain life. No fast food or overly costly meals when one can survive and thrive on a budget of $75 a weel for every two adults. Everything else you can afford IF your income exceeds your expenses. Too many demand the most expensive cell plans, the latest gadget, newest big screen, the tastiest gourmet foods and vacations like Michelle Obama has.
It’s all delusion and I fully expect you to exhibit the symptoms of offendluensa, that is, perpetually being offended at not having your every wish granted just because you want it.
Do you earn it? Did, through your labor, skill or work earn the money it costs to give you what you feel is your due?
Why should you earn the same as a surgeon who has investen 12-16 years of their life honing a skill set?
Your entire supposition reeks of stupidity and despiration, a failure that is lazy and demands that others give of their earned income to support lazy people that don’t want to work or who demand top dollar for no effort or skill.
    Now, go away you idiot!

  12. And what options for real money does an 18 year old without a HS diploma even have?

Well, there’s studying and completing one’s HS education, for starters. Enlisting in the military. Not believing the world owe’s them an IPhone and a car. There’s three off the top of my head.

  13. Here’s what’s ironic: conservatives endlessly complain about welfare but support either a ban on minimum wage or try to block an increase which de-incentivizes people because what’s the point of working if you still cant afford to live? Doubly ironic is that when these people do work, and become the working poor, they have to use public assistance to fill in the gaps so basically you are creating the situation for the tax payers that you claim to want to stop. Raise it to at least 10/hr.

  14. Ok, so we’ll just ban homosexuality and kill all the gays? Is that your solution? Sure does sound like it. How very Christian of you! No wonder people are abandoning God.

  15. That’s cuz the h8ers are selfish and refuse to contract their fair share, as I’m pretty sure is required under DemocratCare.

  16. Seen your DemocratCare premiums? With those deductibles? Yer paying something for someone, scooter.

  17. At-will employment, such as a job at McDonalds, is consensual. You are not a slave, you are free to leave and do your idea of better for yourself somewhere else.

  18. Care to cite the polls that support that? NOT polls of psychologists or psychiatrists whose income depends of the designation as a personality disorder but not a mental illness or aberration.

  19. The behavior is objectively unhealthy. I’m not out to save every adult from himself. Teenagers, though, should not only be discouraged from this behavior, but it should be illegal for adults to indulge their own desires in exploitation of the young and reckless. Kids don’t have to change “who they are” to be sexually continent – or to delay gratification, until they can be realistically expected to comprehend the long term consequences of reckless behaviour. Unless being civilized is having to be someone you are not.

The only “sufferers” from such restraint is that of adults who must deprive themselves of very youthful objects of lust or romance.

  20. You do not understand very simple economics. I will pay someone to do something only if what I pay makes economic sense. Jobs that are worth $10 per hour to an employer already are paying $10 per hour. See the link above. If you price labor costs–N.B. the word “costs”–above what the labor is worth, employers will do something else, i.e. get a machine to do the job. Or, they will take their capital someplace else, at which point, his/her former employees will make nothing.

Of course, your anger is directed at job providers instead of those whose decisions have placed them in a position where the value of their time is only worth minimum wage. Is there no personal responsibility in your world?

  21. Party A is sexually aroused by the idea of consuming human flesh. Party B is sexually aroused by the idea of being consumed by another human being. Both parties consent to their predilictions and have their consent to such acts that they find sexually arousing notarized. Party B commits suicide so as to allow Party A to engage in the act they mutually find sexually stimulating. Party A consumes Party B’s corpse in an act that is sexually exciting (and mutually consented to). Has a crime occurred? Should the fact both consented to the sexual act absolve party A of any consequence?

  22. I agree completely with you. Alas, age 18 is now the dividing line where adults cannot legally intervene to protect kids. And you are absolutely correct: this young man is currently being manipulated and abused for the gratification of adults, and it is adults who leading the charge to make him some sort of hero. Not because his conduct is objectively “good,” but rather so that they can use him for their twisted purposes.

  23. Only fools like you. The most successful con game has been that played by Satan in convincing idiots like you that he doesn’t exist and attributing all evil to God and believers.

  24. Consensual evil is still evil. This isn’t hard. Some folks also consent to be murdered, eaten alive and tortured, so is that not evil because it was consensual?

Somewhere these folks have ceased to think

  25. Um, you can’t consent to be murdered. Or do I have to guess you’re talking about being euthanized? Perhaps you need to look up the legal definition of murder? And then you go on to compare consensual gay sex to evil and murder and follow all that up with people have ceased to think! Oh, irony of ironies.

  26. It is illegal for adults to indulge their desires for the young and reckless. But this young man is of legal age and you have to draw that line somewhere. We as a society decided it’s 18 years old to allow someone to pose nude or make pornography. If you feel that law needs to be changed take it up with your congressman. fact is though, an 18 year old can be sent off to a foreign country to kill women and children, but having consensual sex on screen is the real problem and has worse consequences? That’s some sense of perspective you’ve got there.

  27. Using the “liberal” definition of consensual yes people have indeed consented to murder.

Look up Sharon Lopatka and Armin Meiwes

And not matter what the popular opinion is about the perversity homosexuality, anal sex it is in fact violent brutal and filthy. Pornography by it’s very nature is evil

  28. “Ok, so we’ll just ban homosexuality and kill all the gays?”

Your suggestion, not mine. It’s strange how liberals (and perversion apologists) are always the first to suggest such extreme measures.

  29. People wind up working minimum wage for a whole host of reasons(and are you actually suggesting that low paying jobs are punishment? Some incentive to work!)and employers could just as easily subtract those costs from their share which is created mainly out of the labor of their employees whether the task is as menial as jockeying a cash register or stocking shelves.

  30. I’m glad to hear you say that because then you can stop the hand wringing and claims that an 18 year old who consented to make a porn film, and for more than minimum wage, is being exploited. And the idea that you can choose to work at McDonald’s makes it ok for them to pay you less than what is a living wage is ridiculous. Try again.

  31. He’s not done with HS yet and since when does a HS diploma get you real money in the world when you’re entry level? And are you actually claiming that joining the military, especially during wartime, where you can be sent off to a foreign country to kill and experience all kinds of horrors leaving you mentally and physically wounded is somehow preferable to making a porn film? Really? And you claim to help troubled people? I would put military service ever since Vietnam at near bottom for possible alternatives to make a living. Cant remember the last time a porn actor wound up with vicious flashbacks about dead bodies, had to walk on prosthetic limbs, or wound up physically disfigured due to burns.

  32. What’s the “liberal” definition of murder? That doesnt even make any sense.

Some people obviously find anal sex pleasurable, especially men since it stimulates the prostate, and leads to a strong orgasm. Blame the manufacturer if you dont like the way the machine works. Women can find it pleasurable too and is widely known to lead to g-spot orgasms. And so if you take a picture of sex it suddenly becomes evil? People have been making porn since the beginning of civilization because they are endlessly curious about sex, especially between other people. Only when Christian moralists came along did healthy appetites become corrupt or bad. You’re the problem.

  33. Good heavens, but that is absolute nonsense!

BTW, I’ve been poor enough that I’ve cleaned houses. I did not enjoy it, but I was paid to do it, and do not regard it as all that bad.

  34. Where did you work at McDonald’s at the age of 14? Because, if I recall correctly, they don’t hire anyone under the age of 16.

  35. Though I suggest he acquire some further skills – beyond resentment, entitlement and sulkiness – before seeking higher wages.

  36. It works even better on women if combined with digital manipulation of the genitals either self applied or by the partner.

  37. I haven’t worked minimum wage since I’m 14 dear. I wasn’t referring to myself. By the time I was 16 I was already making sales and commissions. I’m skilled, and college educated.

  38. Long Island, New York. I don’t know what their hiring practices are now, but back then 14 was old enough to work there. In fact I got a few of my 8th grade classmates jobs there as well. One helped me scrub tile with a toothbrush.

  39. Okay, moral relativity. Morals change. I can’t stress that enough. Sometimes for the good, sometimes for the bad, but it has to depend on individual choice. It’s the nature of humanity, we tinker. We’re always trying something that might work better.

I absolutely agree that if you find something objectionable, you should speak against it. It’s not a matter of permitting your speech, your speech should be required. If you disagree, tell people. Argue with them. Wag your fingers in their face and yell at them. Persuade them that they are wrong. Woo them with your better ideas.

BUT, I’ve had to deal with the conservative version. I can tell you it is just as intolerant, just as tyrannical, just as obnoxious as any liberal dogma you can name. And yes, they demand that the law be changed to accommodate their views and only their views.

Conservatives are usually up front about their goals. Usually (but not always), they’re more polite about it too.

So if you’re going to denounce homosexuality, I’m going to pop in from time to time and say you’re wrong. At the same time, I’m also going to tell certain liberals to forget about controlling your religion, guns, politics, or free speech.

    I’m equal opportunity (grins).

  40. I’m sorry, but I disagree.

Laws against pornography and obscenity are certainly about controlling other people, usually in the name of a “greater good.”

Obscenity is in the eye of the beholder. That’s another example of morals changing. Take the Rule 5 link posts on this site. When I was a kid some mumbly-mumble years ago, pictures of naked ladies were certainly obscene. Nowadays you can’t really even call it pornography unless there is some sexual act going on.

I’m not saying we should abandon laws. I do believe that laws should protect us against force, fraud, and theft. I’m willing to add “don’t mess with kids” because I think solves more problems than it causes.

Anything else though, and I think it crosses the line.
