About the @EllenPage #Lesbian Thing …

While the whole freaking online world — to say nothing of the practitioners of allegedly objective journalism — were gushing with orgasmic joy over the news that actress Ellen Page is publicly committed to Dinner at the Y, some of us were respectfully silent.

And by “respectfully silent,” of course, I mean researching a massive article about the prevalence of lesbian sex offenders in public schools, but this turned out to be a project that will take another dozen hours of work to complete, so you’ll have to wait. Suffice to say, it’s a follow-up on “If It Was a Rape, It Was Good Rape” and other recent writings on radical feminist ideology. Anyway . . .

Ellen Page’s lesbianism was not exactly secret, and I learned of her “coming out” when I noticed a surge of traffic to an article I wrote in 2011, “Outing’ Ellen Page: The Politicization of Sex and the Sexualization of Politics.” So, no surprise and none of my business, except of course that the Official Gay Movement insists that it is my business, and all Enlightened People are now obliged to celebrate the fact that Ellen Page is as hostile to PIV as Radical Wind. Failure to applaud her lesbianism is hate. In 2014, if you’re not marching in the Gay Pride Parade, you are a bigoted enemy of Progress and Equality.

Being told what to think has never been my idea of freedom, however, and my habitual skepticism is aroused by mobs chanting in unison. Somehow, totalitarian groupthink always reminds me of the sound of hobnailed boots marching over broken glass.

Did I mention that Ellen Page’s Pledge of Sapphic Allegiance occurred in Las Vegas, at the Human Rights Campaign’s  first national LGBT youth conference? Did I mention that the sponsors of that gay youth conference include the nation’s two largest  teacher’s unions, the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers? Because nothing says “safety and inclusion” like teenagers getting together with public school teachers to spend Valentine’s Day weekend celebrating their homosexuality in Las Vegas.

IYKWIMAITYD.

Well, that massive article about the prevalence of lesbian sex offenders in public schools isn’t going to write itself . . .

UPDATE: Professor Donald Douglas has video of Ellen Page’s speech, which he calls “mock-worthy.” Failure to applaud homosexuality is hate. I’m sure the People’s Commissariat of Internal Affairs has added this reactionary outburst to Donald’s file.

  1. Enlightened People are now obliged to celebrate the fact that Ellen Page is as hostile to PIV as Radical Wind.

I followed the link, but I didn’t see anything about Page at that Twitchy link. Are you saying that Page is down with all that PIV=rape craziness, or am I just too thick to pick up on your sarcasm?

  2. eh. Since “Radical Wind” is in the news for equating any and all hetro sex to rape, I would say it is unfair to ascribe her views to anyone based merely on the fact that they are a lesbo. Not that I’m terribly broken up about it or anything, I was mainly just curious if she was really that far out there.

BTW, I followed your link to your 2011 piece, which link to Breitbart in its update. But, that link is no good anymore. By the text of the link itself, it looked like the piece had her hating on Palin, so I wondered what she had said.

  3. Now to reveal myself as an otaku , the 2 are from the anime/manga K-On, about a high school girls’ “light music club”

  4. Your statement is that Page “is AS hostile to PIV as Radical Wind” – emphasis mine.

I see no evidence Page regards all PIV as rape or is in the least hostile to PIV for straight women. Just because she’s a lesbian doesn’t make her a nut case.

  5. Over/Under on how long before she decides that she actually likes the weenie?

I’m going to go with five years. Right after she hits her thirties and realizes that she wants a family.

  6. btw, those k-on girls are not gay(as far as the story goes). That’s the artists idea, not the author’s. The anime is the exact opposite of the pic.

  7. At the rate the radical gays are dissing and dismantling every social institution of western culture, do they give pause to thought on how it all really works?

Do they understand that if everyone embraces their lifestyle, western civilization will cease to exist within a generation? (oh it’ll still be around but by then it will be so weak that some other cultural force will have seized the infrastructure and enslaved those who are left.)

Do they give a thought for their own future?

Apparently not. Due to it’s generative dead end, it’s always seemed to me to be nihilism writ while leering for the camera. Grinning as one’s house burns down. (that you set.)

I have no antagonism for gays but I do have a bit for what will come after they torn down every bit of straight society and culture. What will they put in it’s place and who will be willing to fight for it?

  8. I have no idea who any of those people are. I’m still sending out Pro #PIV videos. I expect I’ll be getting hate tweets at some point.

  9. No, wagers, but it is true that unadulterated homosexuality is fairly atypical among ‘lesbians’ (and I would wager the moreso among those who are not particularly butch, as she is not).

  10. Lame.

That particular movie was a disagreeable manifestation of contemporary girl culture, as was noted at the time by Phyllis Schlafly and scarcely anyone else. The writers manufactured a social universe where the function of men was to act as support staff for whatever whimsical objects women have.

  11. Hey, does anyone else remember when one’s sexual behaviors were private matters and none of the public’s business, as opposed to the subject of a press conference? / sarc

  12. This reminds me of Mao’s self-incrimination sessions, where people could be persecuted for “showing insufficient enthusiasm” to the cause.

  13. Ellen Page can do whatever she wants, because White (liberal) privilege! Seriously, if she’s got money from her career, she has options not available to everyone else. And so her experience is relevant to nobody except other white, female, privileged actresses.

  14. It is strange how the left celebrates homosexuality, praises it, holds it up as “inspirational.” Ultimately, leftists hate humanity and wish it to disappear (they hate themselves most of all). Everything about the left is anti-human; that’s why they oppose economic prosperity, the family, and unaborted fetuses. The more gays there are, the fewer people of future generations. Damn humanity, long live Gaia!

  15. I’m not going to judge you, mainly because I have almost no idea of what “anime/manga” is all about, except weirdo Japanese cartoons. And has anybody else noticed that Japanese pop culture seems to be a cornucopia of weirdness?

  16. Here, let me help you out:

“I call myself a feminist when people ask me if I am, and of course I am ’cause it’s about equality, so I hope everyone is. You know you’re working in a patriarchal society when the word feminist has a weird connotation. . . . I very much am pro-choice.”
    — Ellen Page, 2008

She was 21 at that time, already calling herself a “feminist,” because “it’s about equality,” criticizing the “patriarchal society” and declaring her enthusiasm for abortion (i.e., “choice”).

Now, at age 27, she publicly announces her (long-rumoured) lesbianism at a conference for “LGBT youth” and yet, somehow, you doubt that Ellen Page is really a radical feminist? Have you not been paying attention, Adjoran, or do all these dots fail to form a coherent pattern in your mind?

  17. As Stacy says, the “news” of Ellen Page being a lesbian wasn’t exactly a big secret. Especially in Hollywood. And I notice she isn’t exactly suffering for movie roles (and thence financial security) because of her choice of lifestyle. The entertainment industry isn’t known for shunning lesbians (only conservatives), so I’m missing where all her suffering is coming from (other than the Michael Cera thing noted below).

  18. When I read this “news”, my (genuine) reaction was, “Ellen who? Oh, bleah, another publicity stunt by an aspiring actress.”

  19. Ellen Page was outed over 2 years ago as most Hollywood gay men and women are: by gay writers who offer to out the celebrity first by innuendo, then directly unless the celebrity outs him or herself and sends some cash and represent the GLBT. For gay actors and actresses, their careers are stifled and their future paychecks lowered as they get tracked into the supporting actor or actress track. Unless you’re Jim Parsons and your character is militantly asexual. Almost makes one wonder if the studios are behind the outings of actors who work for rival studios in order to undermine profits.
That said: Ellen Page’s speech was planned in advance, rehearsed, and favorable twitter commentary secured in advance. Cost? Unknown, but this is how Hollywood rolls. Gay Marriage is the Trayvon Martin of 2014.

  20. Not necessarily. Lesbians on average have more male sex partners than the average heterosexual woman, even during their lesbian period. My question is how many studio heads, producers and directors passed her around until she was disgusted with men.

  21. Who? Am I supposed to know who this insane, deviant crunt is? And I’m supposed to applaud her deviancy and cruntness? Not in my lifetime. Homosexuality is abnormal, deviant behavior, a CHOICE, and I will NEVER say otherwise.

  22. Now if the other 3 will come out, The rest of the 98.7% of the American people will tackle the important issues. No jobs, Spending Trillions we don’t have, and a host of other things.
