Two Victims, No Crime

Corey Mock is not a rapist, but he is also no longer a wrestler at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, because he was accused of rape by a fellow UTC student named Molly Morris.

Morris’s version of the story is told at Vice Sports and includes the claim that someone at a party spiked her drink. Why? Because she vomited and had trouble remembering events later. However, according to Corey Mock’s father, a toxicology test showed no evidence that she had been drugged. What is acknowledged by all is that Mock had sex with Morris after she vomited. This was a bad idea.

There were a lot of bad ideas that night. It was the wee hours of the morning. Morris didn’t arrive at the party until 2 a.m., and she had two drinks before she got sick. It must have been near dawn — 4 a.m.? 5 a.m.? — before the sexual activity occurred. Corey Mock’s father says:

My son asked Molly Morris if she wanted to go into the bedroom; she said “yes”. They both lay in the bed and began kissing. He removed her pants and performed oral sex. At some point, he stopped to remove his clothes and she removed her bra. He climbed on top of her and after having some trouble entering her, she reached down and guided him inside her. At NO TIME during this encounter did Ms. Morris communicate in any way that she did not wish to engage in sexual activity, verbal or otherwise. She does not dispute that any of these details happened, she merely says she does “not remember.”

Here’s your classic “he-said/she-said” scenario and I don’t want to pass judgment, but to college boys let me say this:

DON’T HAVE SEX WITH GIRLS AFTER THEY VOMIT.

Vomit is not sexy, OK? More importantly, a girl who gets drunk to the point of vomiting is not likely to have pleasant memories of your subsequent sexual encounter. She may have no memory at all, but a night that includes both (a) vomit and (b) sex will probably not be a pleasant memory, and this seems to be a big problem.

College kids do stupid things routinely. It is clear from the story that Corey Mock genuinely liked Molly Morris. He had asked her out several times before she finally agreed to have breakfast together, and then the party two nights later. Here is the aftermath:

The morning after the party, Morris says she woke up “in the bed, naked, with a sheet. He was in the bed, too.” She got up, gathered her clothes, and left. When she got back to her apartment, she fell asleep. But she woke up not too long after that to take a shower, because she could smell the vomit on her body.
Morris felt ill all day. “It was not hangover illness, it was something completely different,” she says. “My stomach was super nauseous, in knots. My whole body felt like it was in a fog. Like, my head was just in a really weird funk. It’s so hard to describe.” She also had physical injuries including a hickey on her neck and vaginal bleeding. “My entire body was just sore and in a funk.” That night, her roommate convinced her to go to the pharmacy and get Plan B, the morning-after pill.

Corey Mock is not a rapist, but clearly he made a bad decision.

DON’T HAVE SEX WITH GIRLS AFTER THEY VOMIT.

I’ve got four sons and two daughters. Everybody knows how hard I’ve fought against this feminist “rape epidemic” hysteria, but an ethos of personal responsibility goes both ways. I am not going to step aside while feminists use Title IX to obliterate the constitutional rights of young men every time a woman has post-hookup regrets, but young men should not be surprised when their irresponsible behavior has bad consequences.

Wake up, everybody: Bad things happen to drunk people.

It was stupid of Molly Morris to go to that party alone.

Excuse me if this sounds like “blaming the victim,” but let’s get real: If you show up at a party at 2 o’clock in the morning, after everybody’s already been drinking for hours, that’s not really a safe situation. To show up at 2 a.m. alone? Are you crazy?

Two words, ladies: Buddy system.

Never go to a bar or a party alone.

Better yet: Don’t go to bars or parties, period.

Especially not at 2 a.m.

As for you guys, the formula is simple: Vomit = No Sex.

Not difficult to remember that, is it? But if you need a more extensive lesson, here is Corey Mock’s father’s advice:

SEXUAL ASSAULT ON COLLEGE CAMPUSES:
A WRESTLING FATHER’S PERSPECTIVE

My son, Corey Mock was accused of sexual assault by a young lady named Molly Morris while at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in the Spring of 2014. I am not writing this to defend my son; the truth is, no one really cares — that’s life. I am writing this because I don’t want to ever read about this happening to another wrestler again.
Undoubtedly, many of you have read one or more of the articles currently “out there” on my son’s case; almost all of these have been written by feminists pushing their agenda. I am not going to address this except to the extent I believe it will help others, so here is the very simple truth, and I apologize in advance for providing explicit details but unfortunately they are critical to this story.
She does not dispute that any of these details happened, she merely says she does “not remember”. (A toxicology exam a day later was negative confirming there was no drug in her system.). Two days later, after a series of very pleasant text message exchanges between the two of them which are in evidence, she suddenly informs him that she “never gave consent to sex”. If you do not believe her actions denote “consent”, you should probably stop reading now. My son has NEVER been accused by a law enforcement agency; unfortunately for us, she never went to the police.
At the initial hearing conducted by the school, my son was found innocent of all charges. One week later, with absolutely NO additional evidence or explanation, the judge simply reversed her decision.
I AM NOT WRITING THIS TO ENTERTAIN YOU; I AM WRITING THIS TO WARN YOU!
There has been a fundamental change on college campuses all over this country. In this current culture of “hookups” in lieu of dating, with women every bit as sexually aggressive as men on campuses, parents, wrestling coaches, and wrestlers heading to college need to understand the extent of this new danger. I am not just the father of a wrestler, I am a Division 1 wrestling coach as well and I am very familiar with the college culture.
If a woman accuses you of sexual assault at UTC, you will immediately be removed from the wrestling team prior to any investigation or determination of guilt. YOU HAVE NO CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS IN COLLEGE. The colleges have taken the position that you relinquish your rights when you sign the application and the courts have upheld this. This is not just at UTC, this is everywhere. The University or College will do everything in its power to prosecute you and kick you out of school regardless of the evidence and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it, and they know it. You can sue the school and the alleged victim as we are doing, but the minimum cost to sue is $50,000 and the NCAA isn’t going to give you your year back if you win.
This sounds nuts right? This can’t be true! Thanks to our liberal politicians who cater to the very well funded and well organized feminist groups, the Dept. of Education through Title IX (sound familiar) has put every college in the country on notice that if they find a college has not been “responsive” to sexual assault accusations they could lose their federal funding. Colleges are scared to death and their reaction is to crucify young men who are accused. Why are we not hearing more about this? Because most people can’t afford (or choose not to afford) to sue the schools and therefore, the schools are not being held accountable. The Duke Lacrosse case and currently the UVA fiasco are two exceptions that are in the media.
Morally and ethically I want to say, don’t have sex until you get married. We all know that would be naive. Ignoring this problem because it’s edgy would be irresponsible. Having said that, my strong and now experienced advice to you is if you choose to have sexual relations with a girl, get her on video on your phone consenting verbally. Make sure it is clear on the film that she is of sound mind. There is little else that will help you if she suddenly decides she made a mistake and accuses you of assault.
Relaying the specific explicit details of this event bring myself, my son, and our family no pleasure. This has been a very difficult and heart breaking experience. Corey will lose the opportunity to compete his last year and he emphatically denies doing anything wrong; we intend to prove that in a court of law. But, we agreed not to be silent; and to do everything we can to help prevent this from happening to others.

Gimme a break. Are we supposed to have them while they vomit? That’s just gross. After is best. During would be the height of insensitivity.

What’s not clear in this article at all is this: was the young man just as drunk?

There’s no mention in this article about him vomiting so I’d say no, though this could indicate he just had more experience drinking. As for the young lady as she suspects that someone had the opportunity to spike her drink she obviously has no idea what the concoction she was drinking contained. This needn’t indicate some sort of drug. With the right flavorings a great deal of grain alcohol can go down smooth as silk and taste delicious. I find it hard to believe two normal cocktails would have that heavy an effect even on an inexperienced drinker.

So she relates a series of hangover symptoms, but denies being hungover? She must’ve been drugged, is that the implication? Sounds like this situation is more of a patenting issue; i.e., lack of. Exacerbated by the now-typical feminist culture, which is not illustrated by the attached cartoon.

You know that people don’t always puke when they drink, right? And if the young lady showed up at 2am, why would you think she was stone cold sober?

In the article, she was working at a hotel bar as a cocktail waitress, and was on the closing shift that night. There are several things that the article doesn’t say:

    1. It’s been a really bad flu season, and even veteran drinkers will vomit their favorite drink if they’re fighting off a sufficiently nasty bug.

    2. Fireball has exploded on the scene. Even I’ve had a shot, and I avoid hard liquor as a rule. She probably turned down the cinnamon whiskey because she was sick of smelling it.

    3. Seriously, the implicit accusation is that her whisky drink was “spiked” with a different kind of whisky that she didn’t like.

    4. And they never actually say that she didn’t drink anything after her shift. Or maybe she was doing shots with customers to drive her tips up, and maybe that’s against state regs in Tennessee (I don’t know); in which case I wouldn’t expect her to volunteer something that could endanger not only her employment, but also her employer, and therefore her employability.

Modern feminism is a bait-and-switch. The younger ones are occasionally honest about their hatred of heterosexuality but what they’re mostly selling is heterosexuality-hatred under a sign of “equal pay.” It’s been stunningly successful for a naive nation eager to atone for the sins of their straight white fathers, as if I personally funded Columbus’s slave-taking.

But it’s important to never lose sight of the rhetoric by which this has been created. Zany lesbian feminists stipulate heterosexuality itself comprises an oppression because it judges them and marginalizes them by default. Like a type of Jim Crow, heterosexuality then attains the dimensions of an ideology, an oppressive majority ideology no straight man can escape from.

So gender feminism is a sociopathy hiding within a fake usage of the old sense of “feminism.” Hiding within that in turn are heterosexual feminists like Laurie Penny and Amanda Marcotte. They are not being marginalized by heterosexuality but must simply have an innate resentment of men. I can’t read their minds or engage in cheap psychology but the hostility and demonization theories they adopt from a gender feminism that is not truly their field of battle is self-evident.

We have a dictionary and within that dictionary are words like “bigot” and “racist” and we have to continue to throw that in their faces and not let them skate away with double standards because of their childish concoctions about “privilege” and “punching up.”

Third Wave Intersectionalist Gender Feminism is nothing more than a racist, sexist, supremacist cult no different in it’s motivations than the KKK or neo-Nazism. It is sheer hatred clothed in clever rhetoric. It is an inquisition that puts colleges, video games, comic books, science fiction, films and TV to the question. George Orwell’s lesson was that new oppressions can come at you in sheep’s clothing. That’s why we laugh at the depravity of the original Inquisition even while we institutionalize it right into our mainstream culture and laws.

She probably had the flu then; she wouldn’t have a hangover if she puked it up, nor would she have symptoms related to a drug that she puked up. That leaves illness.

It’s also a failure of intellect and perception by a public being conned. What do you call an ideology that is only concerned with injustice against its own in-group?

We’ve seen 3 recent bald-faced proofs of 3 bald-faced supremacist movements: Ferguson, UVA and Paris.

By an amazing coincidence, the white, Western, straight, male which is pilloried as a racist and sexist supremacist is designated as the out-group by all 3. By another amazing coincidence it is that group designated by others which is the single greatest source of come-one, come-all legal and artistic institutions. It has no in-group ideology though that is exactly the claim. We’re we to provide evidence using courtroom rules of evidence Islam, black activism and feminism would lose that case.

Everyone raise their hands who thinks blacks, feminists or Islam would ever lift a finger for an out-group it has control over. When in history has that happened?

In 1839 a British group formed dedicated to ending slavery across the Ottoman Empire from N. Africa to Egypt to Constantinople. They moved gov’t policy and succeeded as they did just before that with ending the slave trade and in British possessions.

We are being conned. Notice how readily black activists hate even a whiff from whites of what they do, even accidental all-white films. Feminists are the same. The West has a Red Cross for everyone, Islam has a version for Muslims. We are being conned by 3 supremacist movements lying about themselves and the Western whites, men, and heterosexuas they target with demonization theories about Islamophobia, white privilege and rape culture.

I wonder whether the father of young Mock bothered to instruct his son on the proper role of sex in human relationships, i.e. within the bounds of matrimony. I know I’m a hopeless, old, Christian-ist, white prude, but fathers do their sons a disservice, especially in this day and age, in failing to instruct them in the virtues of temperance and fidelity. Throw God out of the equation, if you wish. Even so, giving in to one’s instincts regardless of the circumstances is indicative of animal behavior. It is most definitely not Human. What distinguishes us from every other life form on this planet is our ability to reason; our ability to discern the difference between good and evil; our ability to forego immediate gratification for something greater, something more transcendent.

Young Mr. Mock didn’t have the virtue to call a cab for the young lady, Now he’s paying the price. The question is, why was he not taught the appropriate course of action.

Well, according to gender feminist theory, the white, Western, straight, male is by far the world’s largest source of protections and rights for groups others than themselves. That makes Western straight, white, males the most institutionally caring, compassionate and thoughtful group in the world.

That means feminists, Islamists and non-white activists including the politically correct in general are not only the biggest liars in the world but the biggest danger and least help to that world.

From the father’s letter with my emphasis:

Morally and ethically I want to say, don’t have sex until you get married. We all know that would be naive.

That is not instruction. That is surrender to the whims of the world and society. The moment one says “It would be naive to expect . . .” is the moment one concedes the battlefield to the enemy.

It did not used to be so. The expectations of our parents and society were different. Alas, we have allowed society to be corrupted and it’s started with lowering our expectations for behavior. It starts with changing the norms. That is why we are in the place we find ourselves.

Either (a) I’ve been reading to much radical feminism, or (b) you’re not as adept at reading between the lines as I am, but I consider it highly unlikely Ms. Morris will ever have a husband. A wife, perhaps. A husband? Almost certainly not.

Go over and read the story carefully. Ms. Morris shows up from out of town and quickly attracts the interest of this championship-caliber varsity athlete. We can intuit that she is nice-looking but …

Wait, what kind of girl wouldn’t be enormously flattered at being romantically pursued by this kind of Alpha Male? She goes to a party, gets drunk, they hook up and (at the urging of her roommate, hint hint hint) she concludes she has been raped.

This is probably anti-feminist and sexist, but there used to be a time where there had been only Men’s only colleges and Women’s only colleges. Now there exists only Women’s only colleges. One almost wonders what would happen if as society someone went back to that idea of keeping them separated by the sexes for a little bit and offer up chaperoned mixers that shenanigans like this or even dare I say the now infamous UVA or Duke Lacrosse incidents might be outliers more and be easily able to find the guilty party/parties in a rape case.

Honestly, I’m going with (a). You’re losing perspective. Remember, the feminist cult exploits the normal awkwardness of adolescence, and the likelihood of an 18-year-old having resentment from poor treatment by the opposite sex. Indeed, masculists could theoretically make a mirror-image cult, except that even men don’t care about men’s feelings.
