Satan Is Pro-Abortion

Perhaps you already suspected this — I mean, we know Satan is a Democrat — but his followers at the Satanic Temple of Detroit made it clear that the Prince of Darkness supports Planned Parenthood:

It was a showdown that can only be described as biblical: The Satanic Temple of Detroit versus the Pro-Life Action League outside of a Planned Parenthood clinic on Good Friday.
Led by Detroit chapter director Jex Blackmore, who made headlines last December for blogging about her experience with medical abortion, members of the Satanic Temple traveled to Planned Parenthood’s Ann Arbor, Michigan, location to counter-protest the anti-abortion group.
In images from the protest, Blackmore can be seen wearing a crown of thorns and a faux pregnancy belly while carrying a cross meant to symbolize “the burden of oppressive mandates endured by women,” as the Satanic Temple noted in a press release.

(Via Memeorandum.)  The director of the Satanic Temple blogged about her abortion last year and shared such gems of satanic wisdom as this:

Apparently, some believe that women must accept the burden of motherhood every time they have sex. It might surprise you to learn that many people have no intention of procreating when they sleep together. I for one do not believe that sex is a contract for pregnancy.
Many of the messages I’ve received illustrate the resounding assumption that I’m pregnant because I was irresponsible and had unprotected sex. This is not true, but does this really matter? Perhaps it’s easier to demonize a pregnant woman seeking abortion rather than consider that she’s someone like you.

Yeah, don’t “demonize” the Devil-worshipper, you guys.

  1. These people think it’s all a great game for now. When Anton LeVey was dying his last words were, “Something is wrong. Something is very, very wrong.” When these people make the transition to Eternity they come face to face with their stupidity, but it’s far too late to back out.

  2. Yep. The “Christian” Left has views that are barely distinguishable from the Satanists: They think Jesus isn’t divine, the Bible isn’t the word of God, abortion is a sacrament and you can kill children up to their first breath*, pro-LGBTQX extremism, etc.

    * “According to the bible, a fetus is not a living person with a soul until after drawing its first breath.”

  3. I often wonder how many of these purported satanists actually believe what they spout, as opposed to slathering an Épater la bourgeoisie patina on their otherwise run-of-the-mill perversions. I would imagine most of them have no real theology to speak of, or least one which is distinguishable from the “normal” Leftist/Progressive worldview. Not that it matters in the whether its a deeply-held belief versus a kabuki designed to try to get laid and piss of one’s parents.

  4. It’s typical of leftists/hedonists to pick the wrong and losing side. It stands to reason that if there is a ”the Devil” (as opposed to a devil) there must also be God who cast him down. He is therefore the loser already and that’s the side that satanists come down on picking the side that has already lost.

  5. The “Satanic Temple” isn’t Satanist in any real sense of the term. It’s just a bunch of neckbeard atheists trolling Christians. If you look at their other political stances, they’re almost indistinguishable from standard left-liberal doctrine. Contrast this to the LaVeyan Satanists, who are almost all either Randroid libertarians, or White Power-types.

  6. With the U of Michigan right there in Ann Arbor I doubt many of the satanic types had to travel very far. Just saying …

  7. There’s a difference, as both groups would emphatically tell you.

Even there, your text has been mistranslated. “Poisoner” is closer to the mark. James I had issues.

  8. I saw Satanic Revolution open for Demonocity back in ’98, during their “Take Me Out To the Ba’al Game” tour. That was when Dick Tater was still on lead guitar, before he lost part of his left hand in that chicken sacrifice stunt onstage in Coachella.

I got saved the next year, so I never saw them again after that. But I heard that Matt, their bassist (stage name Guano) also got saved and heads up the praise band at his church in Texas.

  9. According to my Hebrew interlinear and my language references, the word is transliterated kaw-shaf’, and means “a primitive root; properly, to whisper a spell, i.e. to inchant or practise magic: sorcerer, (use) witch(-craft)”.

And the scriptural phrase would translate roughly “witch not to live”.

    Just sayin’.

  10. My Hebrew stuff is packed away and I am not sure where. I’ve not looked at it in nearly 30 years.

A quick check with the Unbound Bible, the Straight Dope, and ReligiousTolerance.org confirms what you’re saying.

So yes, I goofed. I remembered it wrong.

    Mea culpa.

  11. I’ve known my share of pagans and Wiccans over the years, and there is a common wisdom out there that Christians are conflating “witch” with “well poisoner.” I don’t know where they get that from, and you know how it is with CW: sometimes it’s well-founded (heh), sometimes poorly, and sometimes not at all.

  12. I’ll bet you’re thinking of the Greek “pharmakaia” (e.g., Galatians 5:19-20), which is typically translated “witchcraft” or “sorcery” in the NT, but comes from a root word that can mean “poisoner”.

The problem with possibly translating it as “poisoner” in the NT (besides the fact that words do not always mean the same as their root), is that the whole shopping list found in Galatians is also found in the OT, in which the word cannot be translated as anything but witch/sorcerer, so the true meaning is clear.

OK, done with my translation lecture now, you’ll be relieved to hear, lol.

  13. From all I’ve seen about LeVey, he did his schtick mostly to shock. He really didn’t seem to believe the nonsense. As he was dying, however, he had a small change of mind as he was slipping into eternity saying, “Something is wrong. Something is very, very wrong.”

  14. I hadn’t heard of the “well poisoner” bit, although obviously I heard about “poisoner.” There are certain bits that I don’t let folks get away with, like the “unbroken matriarchal tradition” or “Never again the Burning Times”

I try to give Christians the benefit of the doubt, mainly because I expect the same. Some make it harder than others (Bob Barr). Live and let live works mostly.

Anyway, I’ll go back to my books now.

  15. Satanists are not witches, usually.

One does not like being labeled as the other.

Sort of like comparing an intramural softball team to a volunteer soup kitichen. There are similarities but there are far more differences.

  16. I’ve seen a few of both groups use the terms interchangeably, even though they probably shouldn’t. The key, however, is the eternal destination is the same, regardless of which group they belong to.

  17. And I’ve seen extremely energetic discussions why they aren’t the same thing. I even agree with most of it, Satanism is usually more self-focused.

As far as the “eternal destination,” no one This Side knows.

Which is almost certainly the point of being This Side.

  18. Met LaVey and know Michael Aquino….liberals would be dismayed they both were Republicans

  19. All depends on where you place your trust. The Bible equates faith with knowing. We already know where you place your trust.

  20. Actually you don’t.

You know that I don’t like labels and that I prefer to live and let live. You know I think humans are mostly good, given half a chance and a few kind words.

But part of my path means I don’t casually share the Names of my gods. It’s part of how I honor them.

  21. Actually, I know a lot more about you than you think. You also know that I reject most of what you think and, as with God, allow you your choices, no matter how destructive they are in the long run.

  22. It’s not your place to judge, and it certainly isn’t your place to allow me anything.

It’s literally between me and the Divine. Your own book teaches that.

Parity. Simple parity. You don’t want your stuff questioned by me, don’t try to impose it on me. Live & let live. You’re not a gatekeeper no matter how hard you try.

I’d like to make this World just a little better than I found it. Where is it “written” that is wrong?

It’s not complicated. It doesn’t require Divine evaluation.

  23. Charming as always. You live at the sufferance of God. It will not matter what you think in this life as you will face him. The divine could not careless what you wish to rattle on about.

  24. Those with Death wishes, such as supporters of Abortion and Homosexuality, seem fitting patrons of Satanism. Soon, Euthanasia supporters will join them at the altar of the Evil One.

  25. There you go again, trying to assume authority that was never yours.

There’s nothing in that special handbook that gives Christians power over other humans.

I won’t bow before your belief, just as you won’t bow before mine. You can’t require that of me and I can’t require that of you.

    Parity.

  26. You have no idea what I am assuming. It certainly isn’t authority over you. God does not force you to bow, now. But you will bow.

But, of course, you will whine that I’m threatening you, and all sorts of other mischief and mayhem. save your “breath.” I simply pass on the warning of what’s coming in the future. You accept or reject as you will.

Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; 2 Corinthians 5:11

  27. Soon? I thought they already had. Along with genocide supporters. Really, is there any kind of death supporter that hasn’t already gone there?

  28. Pardon, but I didn’t say anything about forcing. That’s not why I’m objecting.

He’s disputing my beliefs because he doesn’t share them. Nothing wrong with that. But then he attempts to put his beliefs over mine without logic, but faith. He’d be screaming bloody murder if I tried the same thing.

I don’t allow it when the climate change crowd tries. I don’t allow it when the RadFems try. And I don’t allow it when certain Christians try. Not because I disagree, but because no one has the power to dictate faith.

  29. He can claim Biblical justification all he wants, but he needs something other than “the Bible told me so.” If that’s all he got, then his faith is no different than mine, is it?

He may believe that it’s more, but he can’t control my belief. That’s why he trots out “my God suffers you to live.”

Instead of looking at the World and how we might make a difference, he presumes his faith gives him the power to give judgement, even as he denies the judgement is his.

And if anyone disputes it, well, it’s Holy Writ, isn’t it?

It certainly has very little to do with the message of the Bible.

  30. Of course it is not you that threaten, it is your God. He just sits down at your keyboard and types away.

That tells me is that you don’t know your God very well.

Yep, too many people are into religion for the politics.
