Perhaps you already suspected this — I mean, we know Satan is a Democrat — but his followers at the Satanic Temple of Detroit made it clear that the Prince of Darkness supports Planned Parenthood:
It was a showdown that can only be described as biblical: The Satanic Temple of Detroit versus the Pro-Life Action League outside of a Planned Parenthood clinic on Good Friday.
Led by Detroit chapter director Jex Blackmore, who made headlines last December for blogging about her experience with medical abortion, members of the Satanic Temple traveled to Planned Parenthood’s Ann Arbor, Michigan, location to counter-protest the anti-abortion group.
In images from the protest, Blackmore can be seen wearing a crown of thorns and a faux pregnancy belly while carrying a cross meant to symbolize “the burden of oppressive mandates endured by women,” as the Satanic Temple noted in a press release.
(Via Memeorandum.) The director of the Satanic Temple blogged about her abortion last year and shared such gems of satanic wisdom as this:
Apparently, some believe that women must accept the burden of motherhood every time they have sex. It might surprise you to learn that many people have no intention of procreating when they sleep together. I for one do not believe that sex is a contract for pregnancy.
Many of the messages I’ve received illustrate the resounding assumption that I’m pregnant because I was irresponsible and had unprotected sex. This is not true, but does this really matter? Perhaps it’s easier to demonize a pregnant woman seeking abortion rather than consider that she’s someone like you.
Yeah, don’t “demonize” the Devil-worshipper, you guys.
Satan has been pretty busy lately, it seems. @JexBlackmore pic.twitter.com/9OjqWj6O0L

Yes, by default they have already gone there in their hearts.
What judgment did he give? He didn’t say your beliefs were wrong. He didn’t say you were condemned to Hell for your beliefs. The only judgment he made was that God suffers you to live. Which is true. God suffers ALL OF US to live. As to the Bible, it IS Holy Writ. And no one is trying to control what you believe. Not ONCE did he say anything even remotely similar to “you can’t believe that because the Bible forbids you to do so.”
Unfortunately this is not my first or thirteenth dance with Quartermaster, we have a history. He has in fact at different times done everything you said he hasn’t done on this specific thread.
I’d still prefer live and let live. Which means not publicly insisting that the tenants of your faith control the actions of others. It also means finding a common morality without putting one religion over all others.
Is it more important that I acknowledge that “the Bible is Holy Writ,” or is it more important that I agree that government mandated and funded abortion is A Really Bad Thing™?
Which is more practical?
Whether you personally acknowledge the bible as holy writ doesn’t matter. It still is. All Quartermaster said was that one day you would face judgment by the Almighty. We all will. I don’t know what he did on previous threads, but on this thread he didn’t do any of the things you accuse him of doing.
God inspired a series of books that were compiled in the Bible. He’s already taken care of transmitting the warnings in a way that can be received by people. Christians simply point to those warnings.
You are in no position to tell anyone what the Bible says. You’ve already fessed up to problems in that regard. God has His ways, you have yours. Never the twain shall meet.
Your whining and stupidity about God typing is simply typical of the solipsist. Your god is of your own creation.
That’s the thing. You and others believe that the Bible is “Holy Writ,” but that doesn’t make it so.
I happen to think there are some good ideas there, but I don’t think it’s particularly holy.
Now we can get hung up on my “unbelief” and Christian reaction to it, or we can find things we do agree on and work from there.
Again, which is more practical?
No, you believe that the Bible is God-inspired. So do a lot of other people. That doesn’t make it “objectively true.” Especially since it is the most heavily edited, redacted, and revised book in history. Remarkably well preserved, but still.
What I “fessed up to” was that I didn’t remember the Hebrew that I studied briefly for a few months about three decades ago. Since I don’t use Hebrew regularly, that’s hardly surprising.
Again, if you don’t like what I have to say about the Bible, stop insisting that I am bound by it. Even Christians are extremely selective when it comes to the portions they use.
ETA: I don’t think the Christian message was ever intended to be confined to dusty writings.
Why would I care whether or not you believe the Bible to be holy writ? That’s no skin off my nose. The Almighty, however, probably has a different perspective on what you believe.
And why do you feel compelled to speak for your God? Did he call you on the phone? Was there a registered letter?
More importantly, how does that get us closer to agreeing?
My faith and beliefs are at least as important to me as yours are to you.
When did I declare I was speaking for anyone, much less God?
“The Almighty, however, probably has a different perspective on what you believe.”
Beats the usual. Most Christians just cite chapter and verse.
Note the key word: PROBABLY. I was making an educated guess based on the fact that an all knowing entity has more information and understanding on a particular issue than one who does not.
Nothing wrong with that PROVIDED you don’t use it to try to control others.
And yes, I know Christians are supposed to spread the news. However, Christians don’t appreciate it when others do it to them.
Parity. Or the Golden Rule, if you prefer.
That’s a very broad generalization about Christians. I’d even go so far as to call it narrow minded.
Neo is solipsist. He has created his own system, and nothing will dissuade him from it. he goes off the deep end anytime the issue is raised, and in most cases he’s the one that raises it. He will whine and bellyache about it. Just do your own thing and stand for the truth.
And chapter and verse is something you utterly despise.
I don’t care what you think of scripture. God allows to believe anything you create. However, like it or not, you will stand before a Holy God and the standard by which you will be judged is scripture. You may whine and bellyache, and play your normal solipsist games, nothing will be changed and you will be brought before God as your judge.
I really don’t care what you think of me, or what I teach. If you don’t like these things coming up, then quit leading the discussion in that direction.
And, once more, you are lying about my motives. Quit it.
You also play the very game you accuse others of playing. You’re simply projecting. Which is also a lie.
*shrugs* Which is why I don’t usually make it except under very specific circumstances.
Some Christians insist that the rules defined by their religion are universal and everyone must comply or else.
I disagree. That’s usually when I’m accused of attacking Christianity.
I don’t lie.
Your own words on this thread make my case better than I could.
No, I won’t.
How many times have I told you that a man is measured in the lives he touches?
That’s not exactly about the self, is it?
Then you get what you get. And I will call you on your repeated lies about what I say and why i said it.
So, if you want to play solipsistic games, then what you see here is what you get. So let the whining continue.
But, you are a liar because you have lied about the motives which I have clearly stated. If you don’t like being called a liar, then be truthful when you handle a persons words. You have twisted what I said in an attempt to get me to say what you wish me to say.
As I said before, I warn because it is a Christian duty to warn people like you. You don’t like and that’s just too bad. The warnings are in scripture and they are clear and direct. If you don’t like them, take it up with God when you meet Him on judgement day.
My points still stand.
I didn’t lie.
But I didn’t lie.
As for the afterlife, you have your belief and I have mine. No one This Side knows.
You were the one who took exception to that statement.
Funny. Neither of us have accused you of attacking anyone. Listen to us or don’t, that’s your choice. But that doesn’t mean we have to stop trying to warn you.
You didn’t make any points. All you did was deny that you would stand before God on Judgment day and accuse US of pushing Christianity on you when we’re not.
I pointed out that no one This Side knew what the “eternal destination” was.
I pointed out that QM wants me to put his faith over mine.
“But that doesn’t mean we have to stop trying to warn you.”
“The only judgment he made was that God suffers you to live.”
Both those were yours I think.
Nope. HE said it. I simply agreed with it. The first one was mine, but that wasn’t a judgment.
And I’d like to point out that no one on this thread has claimed to KNOW anything about the afterlife. We BELIEVE that you will be judged, and there’s no evidence to the contrary so far as I’m aware. Ergo…
“Neither of us have accused you of attacking anyone.”
Give QM time.
“Listen to us or don’t, that’s your choice.”
Stars above, if only it were that simple.
“But that doesn’t mean we have to stop trying to warn you.”
And if you only did it once each or once each per thread, that would be great.
Pardon, but both those were taken from your replies.
“The key, however, is the eternal destination is the same…”
That was QM, above.
Absent proof, my belief is as valid as his. That was my point.
And NONE of that matters This Side, where it’s up to us to Manifest the Divine in a way that hopefully makes the World a little better than we found it.
You and he are nitpicking about the afterlife when we should be focusing on the here and now.
Who here called your beliefs invalid? Not me, and not him, either.
I stated my motive clearly and plainly. You made a statement at variance with my statement before you. If that is not a lie, there is no such thing.
You are your source of authority. Mine is not me. God inspired the Bible so we can know. It’s fine you don’t accept. That’s your choice which God allows, for now. Just don’t expect anyone else to follow you off the cliff you chose to jump from.
“You are your source of authority. “
No, i’m not.
Perhaps what frustrates you most is that you can’t denounce my faith without undermining your own. At the end of the day, we don’t have anything but our faith. Mine is just as valid as yours by every “objective” measure you trot out.
Live and let live. Why is that so hard for you to accept?
You didn’t state your motive, at least not all of it.
You stated your justification.
If it were really about “warning” people, you would give your warning a few times and that would be it.
You also wouldn’t try to go after another’s character when they disagree with you.
Oh my, that is just too funny!
Just what do you think you’re doing when you continually insist your beliefs apply to me when I disagree?
Oh, and why we’re at it, note that I haven’t said one blessed word about what I think will happen to you after This Side.
Yes, you have.
In response to a declaration that you will be judged by God upon your death, you said “No, I won’t.”
I’m fairly sure that if you believe that YOU won’t be judged, it’s safe to say that you believe I won’t be either. It’s indirect, but it’s there.
And your first question is ludicrous. Of course I believe my beliefs apply to you. They apply to everyone. Do yo know nothing of Christianity at all? If my believing something automatically invalidates your beliefs, then your beliefs aren’t very strong to begin with.
You clearly have a serious problem with the English language. You said what you wanted it to be, rather than what it was. So, you lied as to my motives.
You exposed your character by what you did. If you have a problem with it, then you need to look to yourself.
You are your source of authority. You deny it vociferously, but that does not change the fact that your posts reveal you as a law unto yourself.
I have no need to undermine anything to state the truth. the truth either supports or undermines. Given the philosophical word games you like to play you should understand that.
You have no “objective” standard. You simply play word games and will twist what others say until says what you wish it to say. That has, in my case and others, included their motives for saying what they say.
My observation has been that you understand something until it doesn’t fit your narrative anymore.
We weren’t discussing invalidating, we were discussing calling something invalid.
We also had established that using your beliefs to control others is a Bad Thing™. Just in case you hadn’t noticed, my criticism of Christianity is reactive and mostly directed against certain Christians.
Celebrate your beliefs and cherish your faith. All I ask is the same. Just don’t demand that my beliefs and actions are bound by yours. Live and let live.
This is what you do.
When you can’t dismiss the argument, you go after the person. When that doesn’t work, you go after the person some more.
That doesn’t work with me.
My posts “reveal” that I answer to an authority different than yours.
I never claimed an “objective” standard. Truths are incredibly subjective.
“We weren’t discussing invalidating, we were discussing calling something invalid.” Do you even realize what you’ve said here? I’m guessing not.
There is a difference.
You can call something invalid, but that does not invalidate it.
Nothing works with you When you are willing to twist what is said, and lie about people’s motives then you have not just departed the battlefield, but you have shown you have little but bad character.
In the end, you are guilty of the very things you accuse others of. You have, just as one example accuse others of trying to force you into being a Christian. Denying you have said that is a lie, and then turning around and saying you have not,as you have here, is also a lie.
No one likes being called on their foolishness, but you lie and twist then try to sit back and make out like you’re some sort of angel. If you are an angel, you are a fallen one.
I would like to see you become a Christian, and the warnings of the consequences of not doing so are quite stark and very disturbing. It is the duty of a Christian to point to those warnings. But, when you allege that I am trying to “force” you into it, or threaten you, then you are lying. Lying
It can’t be stated any more forcefully. When you do that trash, you not only call your character into question, you show that any character you have is bad.
I really don’t care what doesn’t “work” for you. If that’s all this was about, I’d leave you alone, but it isn’t. You keep playing the same dishonest game. That won’t work me, and if you had any character, it wouldn’t work for you either. But you’ve already shown why it works for you.
He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:18
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:12-15
You’ve now had a good demonstration of the sort of dishonesty he pulls regularly.
You’re laughable. Both in your dishonesty, and your attempts at forensic maneuver. It’s all lame and entirely immature.
Not to mention paradoxical logic.
You clearly don’t understand, then, that the first step to invalidating something is to declare it so.
