Iran Executes Gay Teenager

Posted on | August 8, 2016 | 33 Comments

Religion of Peace™ update:

Iran’s regime executed a gay adolescent in July — the first confirmed execution of someone convicted as a juvenile in the Islamic Republic in 2016 — Amnesty International reported this week.
Hassan Afshar, 19, was hanged in Arak Prison in Iran’s Markazi Province on July 18, after he was convicted of “forced male-to-male anal intercourse” (‘lavat-e be onf’) in early 2015, the NGO said in a statement Tuesday.
Stefan Schaden, a LGBT rights activist and spokesman for the European ‘STOP THE BOMB’ campaign, told The Jerusalem Post on Thursday, “Consensual homosexual conduct remains illegal under Iran’s Sharia law and is punished with public flogging or even execution. While the Islamic State throws gays from rooftops, the Islamic Republic [of Iran] hangs them.”
Amnesty said the Iranian authorities received a complaint accusing Afshar and two other adolescents of forcing a teenage boy to have sex. Afshar, who was arrested in December, 2014, said that the same-sex relations were consensual and the accuser had freely engaged in prior homosexual relations.
“Iran has proved that its sickening enthusiasm for putting juveniles to death, in contravention of international law, knows no bounds,” said Magdalena Mughrabi, Deputy Middle East and North Africa Programme Director at Amnesty International.
She added that Hassan Afshar was a 17-year-old high school student when he was arrested. . . .
According to a 2008 British Wikileaks dispatch, Iran executed between 4,000 to 6,000 gays and lesbians between the start of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 to 2008.
Iran frequently executes gay men for same-sex relations and frames the men for rape charges to justify its Islamic law application of lethal homophobia.

Obama’s deal with Iran is so progressive!

Israel’s Defense Ministry harshly rejected President Obama’s remarks about the Iran deal, disputing that it no longer opposes the international agreement reached in Vienna in July of last year.
While adamantly defending the deal on Thursday, Obama said “it’s the assessment of the Israeli military and intelligence community … that acknowledges this has been a game-changer.”
In disagreeing, the Defense Ministry compared the deal to the 1938 Munich Agreement between European powers and Nazi Germany, saying that it had no basis in reality.
The statement, reportedly from Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, said:
“The Israeli defense establishment believes that agreements have value only if they are based on reality. They have no value if the facts on the ground are opposite to the ones the agreement is based on. The Munich Agreements didn’t prevent World War II and the Holocaust because their fundamental assumption — that Nazi Germany can be partner to any agreement — was false, and because world leaders at the time ignored clear statements made by Hitler and other Nazi leaders.”

Liberals desperately want to believe that concerns about Islamic radicalism are just “right-wing Islamophobia,” but facts get in the way.

Anyone having the delusion that a deal with Iran would moderate their behavior should now be coming to their senses about now. Alas, being a leftist also means reality means nothing.

Obama and Hillary would probably do the same to Milo, if they could get away with it.

Iran just executed an Iranian Nuclear Scientist for spying who Hillary referred to in her emails as “our friend.” Opps. I guess there was more than grand kids stuff and yoga on those emails.

Remember when the media used to take stuff like that seriously?

Iran executes men and children for being homosexual. Liberals respond by sending them nuclear technology and $400 million dollars.
South Carolina refuses to force businesses to let trannies use public washrooms. Liberal celebrities, musicians, actors, politicians, civic communities actively boycott them.

And they will again, if there is ever another Republican in the Oval Office.

Maybe Obama could ask the mullahs what the protocol is for a Sharia compliant gay marriage ceremony?

Also, in a gay marriage, which one gets to beat the other one?

It will be a parody. They never take anything seriously, other than lying for the left.

Trick question! There’s no such thing as a “gay marriage.”

The actions of the Left are philosophically coherent only if the end goal is the destruction of Western Civilization. Thus, an “ally” is one who supports that goal, even if its own internal policies are otherwise repugnant. To the extent the Left has expending any effort thinking about what comes “after” Western Civilization is destroyed (and remade in the Left’s image), I’m sure its been a) minimal and b) involves a lot of magical thinking.

I hate to interrupt this pity party, but the dear departed was convicted of rape. Where you know it or not, or whether you agree with it or not, rape is still a capital offense in many states in the republic.

No, they’re all about denouncing lies by Republicans, even if the Republicans are not actually, you know, lying.

It’s how they make up for not doing it otherwise.

Right. Convicted of rape by an Iranian sharia court.

You know, the same law that won’t find a male-to-female rapist guilty unless four other males testify. Otherwise they stone the victim to death.

This was explained (by a feminist blogger) who pointed out that, because homosexuality is punishable by death in Iran, when two men are caught together, they both die unless one of them claims he was a victim of rape.

We can never know the actual facts of a case prosecuted under Sharia law in Iran. It’s like the old Soviet Union, where Red Army generals and leading Bolsheviks were executed for “crimes” that were invented for justify Stalin’s paranoid purge.

Under the regime in Iran, a certain number of “spies” and “infidels” must be punished every so often to maintain the force of revolutionary terror that sustains the regime. And the same way with homosexuals. Not ALL gay people in Iran are executed. Some of them can afford to bribe corrupt officials, and some of them are protected by the influence of their families. So, in a more or less haphazard way, the persecution falls on the unlucky and the unprotected. This is the way of every totalitarian regime since the French Revolution.

President Reagan thought that he could find trustworthy Iranian moderate, too, and look how that turned out. At least, Mr Reagan could have said, “Well, it was worth a try, because we’ve never been in this situation before.” It would be a weaselly excuse, but President Obama has none: history is a guide.

Only some homosexuals are executed. But, somehow, the Islamofacists in Iran are not held responsible for the homophobia they commit daily.

Not all African-Americas were lynched. But somehow, all conservative Anglo-Americans are held responsible for the crimes Democrats committed decades ago.

    Funny how that works….
