Incredible: Joe Biden Blames Republicans for Failure of Obamanomics

Posted on | July 18, 2010 | 10 Comments

Ed Morrissey calls this a “flat-out horsecrap lie”:

“Was the $862 billion stimulus too small? It probably would have been bigger, Vice President Joe Biden said, if it weren’t for Republican opposition in early 2009.”

Hey, whatever happened to blaming Rahm Emanuel?

Um, dumb question, but if you were to know that $900 billion weren’t enough, and therefore wouldn’t do anything, why wouldn’t you vote to save the country almost a trillion dollars?

gg, you’re missing something – a rather obvious point. If Dems thought that a $900 billion stimulus would not help the economy at all, then they should not have supported it. If they thought that we would need to spend at least $2 trillion or $10 trillion or $6,234,432 trillion to get results, then they should have refused to support any bill that is less than those numbers, since it wouldn’t get results.

Query then why they would support something in its flawed form and then blame the Republicans afterward, instead of either lobbying for what they really wanted or just realising that neither party is going to go for several trillion in spending, and then find a different way to fix the economy.

Joe Biden is still an idiot, Obamanomics is still a failure, and blaming GWB and the Republicans is still a worn-out tactic.

    dumb dumb…

By your reasoning, George W. Bush was stimulating the economy by staging two wars for the last eight years..

Who gets paid? The soldiers and their families. Who will spend the money back here.

Who else? The companies and corporations who supply goods, services and ammo to the military.. Pretty much all US based so that money would be going to their workers and family.

It’s been a steady ‘Stimulus’ for sometime now. Obama is following in W’s footsteps.
