Florida: The Crazy State

News from our national lunatic asylum:

A man who shot a trucker to death in 1992 but was judged to be criminally insane seemed nervous Saturday when stopped for speeding east of Gainesville, a deputy reported.
David Harris Dunaway, 58, was wanted by federal authorities, the deputy learned. A grand jury in Tampa had indicted him on a gun charge Dec. 18, alleging that he had a pistol and 50 rounds of ammunition, illegal for someone with Dunaway’s medical history.
But in a search of his green Honda van, the deputy found more — 36 guns, 4,629 rounds.

How many criminally insane people are running around loose in Florida? Well, Obama got 4,235,270 votes there in 2012.

  1. I just left there day before yesterday. About to go back after 20 degree temps last night at home. And I always pack when I go down there, IYKWIM.

  2. Well, Stacy, it’s good to see that last night’s debacle in N’orleans didn’t dampen your sense of humor…

  3. Well, I guess it’s more of a “laugh at it because if I don’t then I’ll just get depressed” kind of thing for me…

  4. My daughter and family live in Florida. It’s not only the crazies you have to worry about down there, it’s all the liberals moving there. Well, I guess they’re crazy too. Anyway, it is worrisome.

  5. It may be instructive to learn how he left the state mental institution, how he got the guns, and his network.
I’m sure BATF is upset that they lost another seller for Fast & Furious II.

  6. He prolly is depressed. There’s now another profane name has now been added to the Bama Pantheon beyond Auburn.

  7. Heh. I live in Florida. You have no idea how crazy it is! All the loonies from everywhere else end up here, along with their defective and co-dependent offspring. Florida is nothing but a huge trailer-park populated with Bill Schmalfeldt clones …
