The Department of Homeland Security warned America about these crazy right-wingers who were a threat to civil rights . . . Oh, wait.

I admire people who can deal with that sort of thing without damaging the opposition.

I, however, am not one of those folks. I avoid Tea Parties and suchlike on general principles, because I would not take to being assaulted, or having my wife or family assaulted, with nearly such good graces.

Our side doesn’t yet need to become known for battering and breaking the goons from the other side, so it’s best that I stay away from potential confrontations.

I don’t have the temperament to deal with that much stupid in anything like a nonviolent fashion. Some of us just don’t play well with others at that level.

I’m there in spirit, but it’s better that I not be counted in the crowd, if there are any idiots in purple shirts around. It would not be a good thing.

Black people are big advocates of civil rights-for black people. They mostly don’t believe white people have any rights.

You come in to a church, black, white, or whatever, and are asked to not film/record, then continue, in defiance of that request, deserve to be forcibly removed from that church. A public invitation to a church, to hear a public figure speak, is different than
being invited to a civil auditorium, to hear a public figure speak. The vieographer was in the wrong. It had nothing to do with black or white.

Well, you see, a church hosting a political candidate, is a civil auditorium, and should lose tax exempt status.

Let me translate what Live Free Or Die just said.

    “Derrrrrrrr pffffffttttttt hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr”

You can’t argue about being punched in the face, jerky.

Anyway, the point about the event being a public forum (even if it is on private property) is since there’s no expectation of privacy people have the right to film. The organizers don’t get to get up in the middle of the speech and suddenly declare “no filming” on a stupid whim. They need to declare ahead of time, they need to enforce it ahead of time. Oh, shoot, they didn’t do either? Tough titties!

That dude got those asswipes all on film. I hope he prosecutes those two jackenapes and sues the church.
