Rule 5,000: Time For The Full Monty

by Smitty

This blog strives to appreciate beauty in a workplace safe, family friendly way. We don’t want to be decadent, and give our wives occasion to wield the rolling pin with excess vigor; also, we don’t subscribe to Puritanism or Shari’a. Somewhere in the middle is a pleasant operating point where a healthy, platonic admiration of the human form affords this simplest variety of stress relief.

But if we were the sort of blog to push the envelope of propriety in the direction of Not Safe For Work territory, we would probably try for something economical:

Oh, you wanted something a little closer-in for your 5,000 nudes? Sorry, we’re not that sort of blog.

  1. The floating picture in the link is cool.  Surreal.  They look like little stick figures who are either waiving or very well endowed.

The Dead Sea, like the Great Salt Lake, is so salty that you have a hard time sinking in it.

There has been talk of running a pipeline from the Red Sea through Jordan and Israel to the Dead Sea.  Given its depth below the Red Sea, the sea water could be used to generate power.  The goal would be to replace the fresh water coming in from the Jordan (that is being diverted for agriculture).  Of course, the question is what would bringing salty water do to the Dead Sea over time.  You would be adding a lot more salt over time (and evaporation).

  2. In popular parlance, platonic is a synonym for puritanical. But Plato was queer, hardly puritanical or abstemious.

  3. If I were there, I would try to hawk some sunscreen.

Problem is, without pockets, no one has any money.

Okay, I can volunteer to lather some protectant on some of the Israeli ladies.  It is the least I could do.
