    They don’t teach business or economics or logic and I see little evidence they teach law maybe philosophy?

    Harumph.  Old Dr. Asimov was right-basic symbolic logic is a much neglected field of human study.  Best course I took at the U of MN.

    When I got my Bachelor’s in IS, Intro to Logic was one of the first courses they required. When I went back for my Master’s ~10 years later, it wasn’t in the syllabus. While I was discussing with the Dean of the Business School some major boneheadery, I endeared myself to him by observing that I understood the decision to drop it, since most of his professors couldn’t pass it themselves.

    Why, yes, I am a cynical old misanthrope. What was the first clue?
