This ‘Draft Hillary’ Thing Had Me Going Until The Third Paragraph

by Smitty

Politico:

We argued in a recent Wall Street Journal op-ed piece that President Barack Obama should stand down and let Secretary of State Hillary Clinton run as the Democratic presidential nominee in 2012.
We are now calling on Democratic voters nationally — particularly in New Hampshire — to organize a write-in campaign for Clinton. This is something that New Hampshire voters have a long history of doing.
We advocate this Draft Hillary movement not because of the desire to make political mischief — but to put the country on the right course.

Sure: I hope it works, though I can’t imagine #OccupyResoluteDesk actually letting Hillary gain any traction.

The amusement is that anybody would think Hillary would be any better as POTUS. She’d probably play less golf, and take cheaper vacations, granted. Substantially, she seems to deliver from the same crypto-Marxist deck as BHO.

  1. I have to wonder who paid off Hillary’s huge campaign deficit…and if Obama kicked in, was there a proviso that she abstain from running against him at any time in the future.  Inquiring minds want to know.  If he did contribute, I suspect he would be nonplussed to hear this talk.

  2. Decks are dealt from, not delivered from.  Jarring.

And Hillary! will always be dealing from the bottom of the deck.  She just can’t help herself.

  3. I think Hillary would have been worse long term, because she would have been more effective at not scaring people off what is truly a horrible agenda.

Still, I’m all for calls to have her run against Obama; heck, I’m really beating the tin drum for Nader to run.  Why not?  The more the merrier — the people deserve as much choice as possible, and it is only fair that if one side already offers up a banquet of choices that the other side does as well, no?

The Republicans aren’t the only ones that deserve to be nervous and upset this time — the Democrats deserve to have their head popping moments and angry dissention within the ranks; it’s only fair.

  4. Oh yea, we found out that Gingrich is out there to the left when he overturned lefty dominance of the House.

    Don’t be a horse’s a@

  5. If so, why was Operation Chaos such a success.  And that Iraq War Vote, yeah it did her a lot of good. Only allowed her to be out-finessed by the greatest con artist of modern politics.

All this propaganda to get her on the ticket is  very interesting. Could it be a prelude to the proverbial camel sticking its nose in the tent? If that happens it could only be because the Dem party prefers re-election with less rhetoric to losing with more! We shall see.
