New Democrat Campaign Message: Grandma, Cliff, Some Assembly Required

Members of the Democrat-Media Complex like Charles Pierce of Esquire and James Fallows of the Atlantic are already registering their disdain of Paul Ryan, and the Democrats are busy e-mailing their massive oppo-research PDF dossier to reporters, so the media attacks on Ryan are pre-scripted dictation from the DNC research department.

This is predictable, and is the best argument for picking a conservative like Ryan: No matter whom Romney had chosen, the Democrats would have demonized the GOP running mate as a Jekyll-and-Hyde combination of Dick Cheney and Martin Bormann.

In that kind of situation, why not go bold?

So we’ll have a few days of “evil heartless Paul Ryan,” then the Democrats will go back to the “clueless rich guy Romney” message and then, if the Romney-Ryan ticket moves ahead of Obama in the polls, they’ll start playing the Mormon card with frenzied desperation.

It’s predictable, and you shouldn’t be surprised.

The Dems were always going to go after the Ryan plan.

Well, yes; Quite accurate. What else do Democrats have but that Republicans/conservatives are:

1. Evil

2. Stupid

3. Religious nutjobs

And in this cycle we get “Out of touch” mega rich person

Sometimes they do one, sometimes the other or several at the same time. I don’t think they can peg Ryan with being stupid (He isn’t) but they will sneer him with “working out”. That was one of the first things ABC mentioned about him before he spoke-that he likes to hunt and work out. He’s a boring but evil workout king who hates granny. Yawn!

Look, the Democrats have proven since 2006 that they know nothing about fixing an economy, only looting it. Their opinion of Ryan means about as much as a Biden fart in an elevator.

The message is the economy and the meme is “You Didn’t Build That.” Too much time on Ryan by the GOP and conservatives and the electorate will lose focus.

I don’t foresee Biden debating Ryan any time soon. Does lend strength to Hilary getting the Veep nod, since Ryan can then be attacked for bullying a woman.

Perhaps inspired by the total dishonesty of the Obama campaign so far, the choice of Ryan declares this to be THE election in modern American history. The choice is even starker than between Reagan and Carter.

Romney-Ryan represents the determination to fix our fiscal mess, reform entitlements, scale back federal government’s reach, and prepare us to return to growth and prosperity.

Obama-Biden offers more of the same, failure and dependency, going down the primrose path to bankruptcy and destruction of our polity. They represent the intention to turn our country into a bigger Greece.
