Could Scarborough Be A Bigger Tool? And The Answer Is None. None More Big
Posted on | January 21, 2013 | 14 Comments
by Smitty
The former Republican Congressman sneered at the National Rifle Association, suggesting that the gun group is promoting the “big lie” that government will come after most guns.
Scarborough insisted the “the big lie has worked for years.” He added, “…If they take away your military-style assault weapons, take away the AR-15, they’re going to take your hunting rifle, they’re gonna take your handgun, which of course is a big lie.”
It’s like this, you schmuck: while the destruction of liberty continues ‘at a medium pace’, no rational observers doubt that this is what is going on. Scarborough, your Neville Chamberlain-esque reassurances excite no one, with the possible exception of Chris Matthews.
If you Godless Commies want to calm the narrative, suggest you calm the narrative, e.g. lay off the attacks on law-abiders.

Well played, sir!
January 21st, 2013 @ 6:48 pm
A long time ago I didn’t think Joe was this much of a wanker. Either the scales have fallen from my eyes or he has been assimilated by the progro-Borg collective.
January 21st, 2013 @ 6:55 pm
Does Scarborough honestly think the Second Amendment is about hunting rifles? No, but he sure would like you to ignore his rhetorical sleight of hand.
His big lie, that taking away evil black rifles is not a problem, is the one that is patently obvious.
When people try to tell you that he’s a Republican you don’t have to disagree, but you can also note that he’s a two faced progressive statist as well.
January 21st, 2013 @ 7:05 pm
I do not understand why you people are complaining? You can still smoke in the other half of the restaurant!
And what was Aaron Sorkin expressed fantasy in The American President: “You cannot address crime prevention without getting rid of assault
weapons and handguns. I consider them a threat to national security, and
I will go door to door if I have to, but I’m gonna convince Americans
that I’m right, and I’m gonna get the guns.”
But Old Joe refuses to listen to history or the words his buds have said in the passed as long as they are willing to deny them now,
January 21st, 2013 @ 7:08 pm
[…] Smitty poses this today but that has to be a trick question though right? The former Republican Congressman sneered at the National Rifle Association, suggesting that the gun group is promoting the “big lie” that government will come after most guns. […]
January 21st, 2013 @ 7:09 pm
Scarborough’s intern died from something other than a gun, so maybe he thinks guns are not that necessary.
January 21st, 2013 @ 7:24 pm
He’s just another RINO. Once in a while he’ll say something that I agree with but, for the most part, people like him and Christie badmouth us every chance they get.
January 21st, 2013 @ 7:42 pm
What an idiot Scarborough has become. Do they put something in the water at MSNBC or has one already imbibed the Kool-Aid before hire?
Has he ever heard of The Boiling Frog? I wonder, would he be as adamant about sabotaging an amendment if it was his 1st that was being discussed? Would he be just as dishonest?
And did he notice the ACTUAL gun-grabbing in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina? Yes, that’s right. The LAW came after legal gun owners who were only trying to defend themselves against chaos (when The LAW wasn’t even around to help). A de facto confiscatory state was in play and these weapons were not directed at the government at the time (though, in hindsight, maybe some of them should’ve been). They were just available. And that was enough for the government.
Scarborough probably thinks the 2nd was written in defense of hunting squirrels. Again, idiot.
January 21st, 2013 @ 7:56 pm
In Scarborough world and Coumo world, hunting rifles are magical! You see, they will only fire when they are pointed at a deer! Someone needs to reminds these idiots the Wehrmacht carried bolt action rifles.
January 21st, 2013 @ 11:37 pm
The number of politicians and pundits that I completely loathe with every ounce of my soul, is growing in leaps and bounds. Never in my lifetime have I felt like this before, but it is becoming so normal.
January 22nd, 2013 @ 8:15 am
I thought I was the only one.
January 22nd, 2013 @ 9:27 am
Don’t kid yourself, they know what game they are playing. If they succeed in eliminating evil black rifles then it is a certainty that hunting type rifles, being substantially more lethal, will inevitable rise in the ranks of gun deaths. Which ‘of course’ will call for ever more restrictions.
This is a game about low-hanging fruit. But their goal is to strip the whole tree. The Brits played it after Dunblane and now only criminals have access to handguns.
