Stacy is set to appear on Libertarian Politics Live at 2150 Eastern, which is 9:50 PM for you anachronistic types. I don’t know if his planned trip to Wasilla will come up, but, pending distraction by some shiny object, that’s his stated intention.
I was at the Murray For Congress campaign headquarters event tonight, and have some video to process for tomorrow. Hit the tip jar, because if he has to hitchhike home from Alaska, the honey-do list when he gets back could end his blogging career.
UPDATE (RSM): I was on with Andrew Traversa, for about 20 minutes at the end of a two-hour program that is now available as a podcast.

This morning the Ken Cuccinelli introduction went up. Colonel Murray picks up and offers a solid speech, served up here in seven parts, plus a bit of dessert that is a fine sweetener for all, whether you have the privilege of supporting Lt. Col. Alan West, or the duty to run against the Wicked Witch of the West.
If you live in VA-8, or know someone who does, please circulate this post to as many as you know. We have an obligation to the rest of the country to support a great candidate in the struggle to retire “Gentleman” Jim Moran. Monday, 26 July 2010, I had the privilege of attending a fund raiser for Patrick Murray, in the crucial effort to retire Gentleman Jim Moran.
While the traffic situation on parking lot I-95 kept him from delivering the detailed update on the ObamaCare case he’s championing down at the Rocket Docket, the good AG does offer some feedback to our ‘honorable’ Representative, down in Clip 5. If your time is limited, or your AG seems an abject doof, take in Clip 5. Clip 6 concludes on the theme of the Creepshow Congress. A healthy crowd (possibly breaking a hundred, but I really didn’t look carefully) turned out at the Army & Navy Country Club tonight to hear Gov. George Allen get the VA-8 campaign to elect Patrick Murray off to a good start.

For my efforts, I was rewarded with a copy of Allen’s great big little book of sports analogies:

That was the fun stuff. Less fun was the fact that my Nokia N97 just really isn’t what you want for this sort of work. I shot a video of George Allen’s speech, which has surprisingly good quality given the poor lighting, sound, and crowd conditions, and then the thing had a melt down three minutes into Murray.
Furthermore, while I just installed avidemux, I haven’t really puzzled out how actually to use the tool. So, no chopping George into smaller chunks for better blog posting, tonight anyway.
The upshot of all this is that a reasonable camcorder is going to be a requirement for the 28Aug Restoring Honor event that Glenn Beck is hosting, as well as the 9/12 March on DC that Freedom Works is doing.
Meanwhile, back at the post, Patrick Murray is a top-drawer candidate, and the Smitty portion of this blog is going to be a jolly fun campaign notebook to stir the hearts of all patriots. We’re going to be on those Democrats like shallow platitudes on BHO’s teleprompter, we are. Support your local candidate! Go, Murray!

Gov. George Allen explains:
Whoever your GOP/Libertarian/Other candidate is, they merit your support. Go out there and knock ’em conscious.

The Lonely Conservative has the details. My local hopeful, Patrick Murray, is on this one, though going against Gentleman Jim Moran is going to be a tough slog.
Also Birchtree Sustainable Studios has a fine piece of patriotic art on offer, suitable for just about any American occasion. Check it out.
Update: the Camp of the Saints calls ’em like they squeeze ’em:
Moran is one of the worst human beings ever to sit in the Congress and, considering that august body has always acted like a magnet to the dishonorable and disreputable, that’s saying a lot.

I’m waiting for Stacy to call in a field report from PA-12, from which we expect good news this evening.
To tide you over, here is Col. Patrick Murray, one of two Republican hopefuls in the 08June primary, the other being Matthew Berry. Both are rock-solid candidates. One wishes the two resumes could be blended somehow. Slight nod to the veteran. The real point is that we need to Retire Jim Moran.
