A firebomb thrown by rioters at police in Portland, Oregon, on Saturday night set a “protester” on fire, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
Video taken at the scene and retweeted by the police showed fire erupting in the middle of a street, as a man caught in the flames attempted to run out of the way. He emerged with his legs ablaze, as rioters attempted to help him. . . .
Reporter Andy Ngô of the Post Millenial tweeted that Antifa and Black Lives Matter staged the riot to mark more than 100 days of violent protest in Portland since the death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis, Minnesota. . . .
Earlier Saturday, the Oregonianremarked on the 100-day anniversary of violent demonstrations: “In Portland, the whitest major city in the U.S., demonstrations against systemic racism and police brutality have stretched for 100 straight days, sparking unprecedented cuts to the city police bureau, night after night of violence by law enforcement officers and protesters, presidential condemnation and national attention.”
Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler has refused support from President Donald Trump, blaming him for the violence.

New data from Princeton University show that riots associated with the Black Lives Matter movement took place in 48 out of the 50 largest cities in the United States. The study found:
In more than 93% of all demonstrations connected to the movement, demonstrators have not engaged in violence or destructive activity. Peaceful protests are reported in over 2,400 distinct locations around the country. Violent demonstrations, meanwhile, have been limited to fewer than 220 locations ?— under 10% of the areas that experienced peaceful protests. . . .
The Princeton data set shows that nearly every major city in the United States experienced riots from late May to the end of August — even under the narrow definition that the study used to classify riots (as separate from events described as police violence against protesters).
The only exceptions within the top 50 cities by population were Fresno, California, and Mesa, Arizona.

The suspected gunman who fatally shot a right-wing protester in Portland last weekend was reportedly shot and killed by law enforcement authorities Thursday night as they attempted to arrest him.
Michael Forest Reinoehl, 48, died in Lacey, Washington, where federal agents were attempting to take him into custody for the shooting — the same night his interview on the shooting aired on Vice News, the New York Times reported.
Reinoehl in the interview insisted he acted in self-defense and “had no choice” when he shot Aaron “Jay” Danielson, 39, after an evening of clashing protests in Portland on Aug. 29.
“Had I not acted. I’m confident that my friend — and I’m sure I — would have been killed,” Reinoehl told Vice News. “I wasn’t going to stand there and let something happen.”
Details of Reinoehl’s death were not immediately clear. Police sources had told The Oregonian that he was the subject of investigations into the shooting.
BTW, Reinoehl was lying about the self-defense claim. The “right-wing protester” didn’t do anything wrong. In fact, there was no protest happening at the time. Earlier that evening, a caravan of Trump supporters had driven through Portland in a sort of parade, and Danielson was just walking around downtown when he was targeted by Antifa, pointed out and assassinated in cold blood by Reinoehl.
As for the unlamented death of Reinoehl, as Professor Reynolds says, it was a “mostly peaceful arrest.” Perhaps it would have been nice if he had lived to be interrogated, so he could have rolled over on his accomplices (which is what a punk like that would do), but a trial would have cost taxpayers a lot of money, and then there would have been the cost of keeping him incarcerated the rest of his worthless life. So, yeah, it’s not the worst possible outcome for him to die in a hail of gunfire.
After a Trump supporter was shot dead Saturday night in Portland, Oregon, images of the suspected shooter were widely shared online and the hackers at 4chan went to work to identify the suspect. Within hours, they had named him as Michael Forest Reinoehl, identifiable by a “Black Power” fist tattoo on the side of his neck. This identification was quickly confirmed by the Oregonian newspaper:
A 48-year-old man who was accused of carrying a loaded gun at an earlier downtown Portland protest is under investigation in the fatal shooting Saturday night of a right-wing demonstrator after a pro-Trump rally.
Michael Forest Reinoehl calls himself an anti-fascist and has posted videos and photos of demonstrations he attended since late June, accompanied by the hashtags #blacklivesmatter, #anewnation and #breonnataylor.
Reinoehl was raised in Sandy and has had recent addresses in Northeast Portland, Gresham and Clackamas. He described himself on social media and in a video interview with Bloomberg QuickTake News as a professional snowboarder and contractor who has former military experience but “hated” his time in the army.
Sources familiar with the case but not authorized to speak said police are investigating Reinoehl. A family member also identified him as a man captured in photos and video seen leaving the shooting scene shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday.
Aaron Danielson, a supporter of the conservative group Patriot Prayer, was shot in the chest and died in the street. It was soon after most cars in a caravan of supporters of President Donald Trump had left the city’s downtown streets.
Reinoehl’s posts indicate he attended many protests in Portland that began three months ago after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis under the knee of a police officer.
On July 5 at one of the demonstrations, Reinoehl was cited at 2:10 a.m. in the 700 block of Southwest Main Street on allegations of possessing a loaded gun in a public place, resisting arrest and interfering with police.
He was given a date to appear in court later that month, but the allegations were dropped on July 30 with a “no complaint,” according to court records. The documents don’t indicate why prosecutors decided not to pursue the accusations. Reinoehl spent no time behind bars.
Brent Weisberg, a spokesman for Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt, said the office is still reviewing that July case involving Reinoehl.
Schmidt earlier Sunday decried the deadly violence. He took office on Aug. 1 and quickly announced that he wouldn’t pursue low-level charges against demonstrators, such as interfering with police or resisting arrest. . . .
(In other words, the policy of the prosecutor is pro-criminal, and this shooting in Portland was a direct consequence of the impunity with which Antifa mobs have been permitted to operate there.)
Michael Reinoehl has been estranged from the family — including her, their parents and a younger brother — for at least three years, his sister said.
“On the one hand, this whole thing surprises the daylights out of us, because we always thought he is a lot of bark, not a lot of bite,” she said. “But he’s also been very impulsive and irrational.”
Reinoehl has stolen their mother’s seizure medication and owes a lot of debt, often giving his relatives’ addresses as his own to avoid responsibility, she said. . . .
Reinoehl is also wanted on a failure to appear warrant in a June 8 speed racing case in Baker County in eastern Oregon. He and his 17-year-old son were racing in two different cars at speeds of up to 111 mph heading east on Interstate 84 after midnight near North Powder, according to state police.
Michael Reinoehl faces allegations including driving under the influence of a controlled substance, recklessly endangering another, unlawful possession of a gun and driving while suspended and uninsured.
He was stopped driving a 2005 Cadillac STS with his 11-year-old daughter as a passenger, police said. Inside the car, police said they found marijuana, “unidentified prescription pills” and a loaded Glock pistol for which Reinoehl didn’t have a concealed handgun license.
Talk about “white privilege”! All you have to do is join Antifa and, no matter what happens, Oregon officials won’t put you in jail.
But the main point I wish to make is that it wasn’t CNN reporters who did the work of identifying Reinhoel. Hackers at 4chan did that.
Saturday night, police declared a riot in downtown Portland, but the mob returned on Sunday, blocking traffic with no police in sight. On Twitter, Andy Ngo shared video of the “Black Lives Matter”/Antifa mob unleashing mayhem on passersby. The video shows a man in a white truck on a corner next to a 7-11 store, surrounded by shouting protesters who for some unknown reason assault a blonde woman in the street. Under attack, the man drives away, but crashes into a building a block away. He is then set upon by the mob, including an Antifa thug wearing a “security” vest. No police are in sight as they haul the man from the truck, order him to the ground and then — for no apparent reason — the Antifa “security” thug kicks him in the head, knocking him unconscious.

The mob considers downtown Portland their “turf,” and control their territory by the use of violence and intimidation. The video shared by Ngo was recorded by Drew Hernandez, who saw the whole thing from start to finish. What evidently happened was that a trans person was being harassed, and the white truck guy was trying to defend him/“her.” Members of the mob then followed him to his truck. It’s confusing, but what do you expect when anarchists rule the streets? The reason we have police and courts of law is to prevent this kind of vigilante “street justice” scene where insults escalate into violence. “Due process of law,” as guaranteed by our Constitution, is being violated by these self-declared “social justice” activists, and the fundamental liberty of American citizens is null and void wherever BLM/Antifa control the streets.
By the way, Internet sleuths claim to have identified the Antifa “security” thug who kicked this man in the head. I’d name the thug here — the identification looks legit — but I’ll wait until Portland police make an arrest, because due process of law. A felony assault charge, with the evidence on video, will put an end to this thug’s career.
Bad causes attract bad people, and the so-called “anti-fascist” mobs in cities like Portland are not composed of our Best and Brightest. There is abundant evidence that their average IQ is below room temperature. Gateway Pundit calls attention to a typical example of Portland’s Antifa mob, Edward Thomas Schinzing, 32, who is now facing federal arson charges “accused of setting and spreading fire May 29 inside the Justice Center at the start of two months of protests in Portland.” How did the feds apprehend this criminal genius? Well, they were helped by the fact that (a) Schinzing was shirtless during the “mostly peaceful” protest, and (b) he has his rather distinctive surname tattooed on his back:
Investigators say Schinzing was among several hundred people who gathered at North Portland’s Peninsula Park earlier in the evening on May 29 and then walked to the Justice Center.
Photo and video images captured Schinzing at the front of the crowd, crossing the Burnside Bridge, about 10:35 pm., his shirt off and his name vivid on his upper back, according to court records.
By 10:59 p.m., several people broke windows near the northwest corner of the Justice Center and climbed inside. . . .
(Note that the “mostly peaceful” phase of the protest lasted barely 20 minutes before the mob started smashing windows.)
Three civilian county employees were working in the Multnomah County Sheriff’s corrections records office at the time and “fled for safety as the windows were broken,” according to Cynthia M. Chang, a fire investigator with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
About 30 people entered the office through the broken windows, spray-painting it, damaging computer equipment and furniture and starting fires, according to Chang. . . .
Schinzing’s name across his back is clearly seen in photos of him shirtless at the protest and inside the Justice Center office that was damaged, her affidavit says. . . .
He was on probation for a domestic violence assault at the time the fire was set in the Justice Center.
Schinzing was sentenced April 16 to five years of probation after he was found guilty of third-degree assault and attempted fourth-degree assault, admitting he had punched his girlfriend in the face with a closed fist in front of her 8-year-old son in a Northeast Portland apartment in late February.
According to Multnomah County court records, Schinzing reported being homeless for the past two years. He has seven prior misdemeanor and two felony convictions.
Oh, these idealistic youth are the conscience of the nation! Punch your girlfriend in the face, then smash windows and set fires in the name of “social justice,” and you’ll be a hero to Nancy Pelosi, who denounces federal law enforcement agents as “storm troopers.” And of course, feminists like Jessica Valenti won’t say a word about this creep’s violence against women (an issue feminists only pretend to care about as a way to attack Republicans). Valenti and other feminists like her are mere partisans, dishonest about the “progressive” coalition to which they swear allegiance. The only way Democrats win elections is by appealing to the worst instincts of the worst people in the country.
Consider, for example, 23-year-old Samuel Young of Aurora, Colorado, who decided he needed to bring a pistol to a “peaceful protest” that was obstructing an interstate highway:
An arrest affidavit obtained by FOX31 and Channel 2 on Tuesday includes witness accounts recalling the shooting that left two people injured during a protest in Aurora on Saturday.
Samuel Young, 23, faces four counts of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of first-degree assault. He’s accused of shooting at a Jeep Wrangler that drove through the protest after demonstrators blocked both directions of Interstate 225 near East Sixth Avenue.
Two protesters were wounded in the shooting: 21-year-old Joseph Quinton Sagrillo and 25-year-old Creyton Loud.
Sagrillo was shot in the leg; Loud was shot near his temple. Both survived.
The Jeep’s two occupants were not injured. According to the affidavit, the Jeep was driven by 27-year-old Kyle Faulkison. Its passenger was 27-year-old Gregory Goodenough.
The affidavit includes a number of witness accounts.
One man who was standing near Sagrillo told detectives that news helicopter footage shows both men in the median of I-225 about 50 to 100 yards north of the main group of protesters.
Another witness — Raichle Farrelly — told investigators she was standing next to the man who shot at the Jeep, and that he used an “old-school Wild West gun,” the affidavit states.
“The blood drained from his face, he turned totally pale,” Farrelly said in an interview with FOX31 and Channel 2. “His eyes got really big. He started to tremble.”
She says she helped him unload the rest of his gun, fearing he could hurt himself or someone else.
“So I said to the young man, who I now know is Samuel Young, ‘I think you need to get rid of your bullets,’” Farrelly says. “‘Can you empty your chamber and just get rid of your bullets over the edge here,?’ ‘Cause I was worried he would now, realizing what he had done, either inflict harm on himself, or someone would take the gun off him and shoot him.” . . .
According to the affidavit, a third witness said the suspect was not in danger of being struck by the Jeep.

Here’s a question: What were these people in Aurora so riled up about that they considered it necessary to block traffic on I-225? In case you didn’t realize it, such “protests” are illegal. Federal law prohibits pedestrians from interstate highways. So this Antifa punk with the “old-school Wild West gun” tried to murder the occupants of the Jeep, who were doing what the highway was made for — i.e., high-speed vehicular traffic — but because of his poor marksmanship, Young only succeeded in wounding two of his fellow “peaceful protesters.”
But what were they protesting about? Turns out, it was the death of Elijah McClain, who died when an EMT accidentally gave him an overdose of ketamine after McClain got into what was described as an “altercation” with Aurora police. The circumstances that led to McClain’s death involve a seemingly over-aggressive police response to a 911 call, but this didn’t happen last week or last month. No, it happened in August 2019, nearly a year ago. The county district attorney said it was doubtful that any criminal prosecution was possible, under the circumstances, but the outcry over McClain’s death was such that Aurora officials ordered an independent investigation. While waiting for that investigation to conclude, why was it necessary to hold a “protest,” illegally obstructing traffic on an interstate highway? The answer is, it was not necessary at all. The vile scum of Antifa were just looking for an excuse to riot.

A man is facing a slew of charges after police say he attacked two people in a Portland laundromat with a handsaw — and it was caught on video.
On the afternoon of July 17, several 911 callers reported a man with a handsaw was assaulting people and breaking car windshields near the 2700 block of NE Weidler Street, the Portland Police Bureau said.
Two of the victims were inside a laundromat. Security video shows the suspect march straight up to a woman inside and swing the saw at her head.
Officers found the suspect near the 2100 block of NE Weidler Street. Police said they told him to stop and drop the saw but he refused and told officers he was going to make them shoot him.
The man walked into the middle of traffic, then started moving toward the officers while yelling at them while still holding the saw, police said. After several warnings, police used a less-lethal munition and the man dropped the saw. Officers started talking to him to try and calm him down but several bystanders interrupted by screaming and taunting the officers, the PPB said. This only made the suspect more upset, according to police.
Officers said they kept talking calmly and listening to the man and he was eventually taken safely into custody.
The suspect — 58-year-old Shane Vordelmicha Green — was charged with three counts of second-degree assault, six counts of unlawful use of a weapon, first-degree attempted assault, strangulation, four counts of menacing, two counts of second-degree attempted assault, harassment, second-degree disorderly conduct, interfering with a peace officer and four counts of reckless endangering. He was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center.
Portland protesters on Wednesday night followed in Seattle’s footsteps and attempted to build an autonomous zone in the city. That effort, however, was broken up by police.
Unlike Seattle, where protesters cordoned off multiple blocks around a police precinct evacuated during the protests, demonstrators in Portland barricaded off two blocks in front of what was said to be Mayor Ted Wheeler’s apartment building.
According to videos posted online, a group of protesters arrived at Wheeler’s NW 10th Avenue and Glisan Street apartment early in the evening where they set up tents, played music and blocked the streets.
Shortly before 11 p.m., the modest crowd swelled in size as a few hundred protesters arrived from the Multnomah County Justice Center, the epicenter of nightly protests against police brutality and racism for the past three weeks.
(Really? Is Portland — Multnomah County, which voted for Hillary in 2016 by more than a 4-to-1 margin — really such a swamp of racism that you need three weeks of protests against it?)
With live music, chants and laser pointers lighting up the largely dark apartment building, protesters set about erecting barricades on the blocks around the building. It was a considerably smaller area than the community built in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. Seattle’s zone has drawn considerable ire from right wing media and President Trump, though reporters in the area have described it as a peaceful gathering.

At 11:30 p.m. Portland protesters had named their area the Patrick Kimmons Autonomous Zone, after a young Black man who Portland Police Sgt. Garry Britt and Officer Jeffery Livingston shot and killed in 2018.
By 1 a.m., elaborate barricades had been erected. But in the early hours of Thursday morning, police moved into the area, declaring it an unlawful assembly. Portland Police estimated about 50 people were in the area when they dispersed the autonomous zone.
Officers are clearing the closed area. Arrests are being made. Leave the area immediately or you are subject to arrest or force. Residents in the area shelter in place.

Questions about financial misconduct have arisen over a viral Antifa crowdfunding campaign that raised over $100,000 on the promise of supporting Portlanders in need during the coronavirus pandemic.
A week before Oregon Governor Kate Brown issued a state-wide stay-at-home order on March 23, a group of left-wing activists in Portland started a GoFundMe campaign. The “PDX COVID-19 Mutual Aid Network Fundraiser” was an immediate success. Accompanied by a logo of a raised fist in between roses (Portland is known as the “City of Roses”), the campaign instantly surpassed its initial goal of $5,000. The page, which said it will be “withdrawing funds and delivering them to community members on a rolling basis,” was shared and retweeted far beyond the Pacific Northwest. It promised to center those who are “targeted and marginalized under capitalism.” Local food co-ops joined in by asking patrons if they wanted to donate to the fund during check-out. Artists and other activists organized their own sub-campaigns where proceeds were donated to the GoFundMe. With the outpouring of international support, the organizers raised the donation goal several times. The goal eventually was raised to $100,000—a near 2,000 percent increase. Within a few weeks, this goal was met. . . .
