Poll: Most Voters Aren’t That Stupid

Unfortunately for the Democrats:

A majority of voters believe the country is worse off today than it was four years ago and that President Obama does not deserve reelection, according to a new poll for The Hill.
Fifty-two percent of likely voters say the nation is in “worse condition” now than in September 2008, while 54 percent say Obama does not deserve reelection based solely on his job performance. . . .
Just 40 percent of voters said Obama deserves reelection.

(Via Memeorandum.) A political party organized on the basis of deceiving the ignorant will eventually fail when the people wise up. From this stems the constant pressure for Democrats to invent new lies. Ed Morrissey at Hot Air:

This demonstrates the danger for Team Obama in running on their record. They cannot allow this election to be about Barack Obama and his agenda. They have to make it about Mitt Romney and how deeply scaaaaaaary Republicans are.

In Which I Confess Confusion

One of those bits of ‘Dude Wisdom’ is that you don’t try to figure women out. No good can come of the effort. Relax, become comfortable with the unfathomability.
But still. . . the picture above seems so contradictory. The entire slut ethos would seem to be about pure, present-tense carnal release. Hedonism with any quantity of any species, in any geometry, with ‘feeling good’ the only measure of value. Pregnancy, and any thought of the teleological point of sexuality should be right out. These are the people of Sandra Fluke, whose pagan homages to Baal are followed by throwing their offspring to the fires of Moloch for a chaser.

Hence my bewilderment: why would any of these depraved women actually carry a child to term, and labor for Obama? Would Barack be the father of the child?  Perhaps symbolically–Obama’s image as a monogamist, family man being the only untarnished aspect of his image remaining. But the supreme ordeal of going into labor, to say nothing of the medieval prison sentence of motherhood, are abhorrent to these women, or so I thought.

Then again, even women who run around in reductionist vagina garb may have some sense of societal preservation that helps them see past their slutty myopia. Some notion that, after the party, and the hangover, and the rehab, and the confessional book, there might be some other phase of life, where offspring are a comfort and a joy, albeit not of the endorphin-based variety.

Should I ever be blessed with a daughter, I shall have to tell her that today’s crop of anit-intellectual, anti-spiritual bints are bimbos for the ages, and there is no need whatsoever to emulate their substitution of infantile degeneracy for mature liberty.

New Ad From AFP Features Victim of Canada’s Socialized Medicine System

Americans for Prosperity has just released this new TV ad that will air in key swing states, slamming Obamacare:

From the AFP press release:

The ad . . . is backed by a $6.2 million TV total buy in 11 key states including: Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. You can watch the video here.
In a departure from previous ads which focused on failed economic promises of the President, this ad features the powerful personal testimony of an individual, Shona Holmes, a Canadian citizen, who has experienced the life-threatening restrictions of an Obamacare style government run healthcare system. Shona sought out the American Health Care system because of its patient-centered approach in sharp contrast to the Canadian system.
“The American system was there for me when I needed it,” said Shona. “It’s time for American’s to get engaged in this debate.”
“To protect America’s patient-centered care, we must replace President Obama,” said Tim Phillips, President of AFP. “Through all four of our expressed advocacy ads we are demonstrating to the American people the empty and sometimes dangerous proposition of another term of President Obama. We ask them to make Obama a One-Term President.”

I don’t know how you’d research it, but I’d like to see the job creation numbers with all government positions and non-production positions (i.e. regulatory compliance) factored out. Such a number would be shockingly low, I’d expect. The good news is that the government has diluted its integrity to the point that no one really believes anything the government says.
Hopefully the coming anti-Democrat tsunami can relieve us of Nancy and put someone with character in her place:

While Obama is officially the candidate of the Democrat Party, he’s also got the endorsement of the Communist Party:

Re-electing Obama is not sufficient to bring economic recovery or even relief to our people. Only a different class configuration in political power can do necessary minimum reforms to give us a chance. But re-electing Obama is absolutely essential. Now is not the time for hand washing the complexities and tactics away — or failing to triage the most critical questions from those that are less critical. We cannot win everything at once!
