It’s not unusual for strange ideas to turn up in Maureen Dowd’s column, but she found a really weird one this time: Adolf Hitler invented the blow-up sex doll!

The latest wacky Hitler story comes from the British author Graeme Donald. He says that, while researching a military book, he stumbled across a story that Hitler and Heinrich Himmler were so worried about German soldiers’ getting sexual diseases from French hookers that they cooked up a plan for soldiers to carry small blow-up blond, blue-eyed dolls called “gynoids” in their backpacks to use as sex “comforters.”
Donald said Himmler ordered 50 dolls but the soldiers were too embarrassed to carry them. “In the end the idea fizzled out,” Donald told The Sun, “and the place where they were made and all the dolls were destroyed in the bombing of Dresden.”

Court: Accused Child Molester Has Right to Watch Kiddie Porn ‘Evidence’ in Jail

Because he is acting as his own attorney, Weldon Marc Gilbert — accused of molesting young boys and videotaping the abuse — has been granted access to the obscene evidence in the case:

Witnesses for the prosecution allege that Gilbert, 50, plied the boys with alcohol prior to performing sex acts on them that included masturbation, oral sex, and anal sex. All the while, Gilbert’s video camera was rolling, providing him with 28 hours of pornographic footage, which he is now enjoying the perverse pleasure of reliving.

Incredible. Absolutely incredible.

Sarah Palin Stimulates Economy, Boosts Employment, Annoys Liberal Media

The big “scoop” from the Federal Election Commission report:

Sarah Palin spent almost $14,000 to adorn her “One Nation” tour bus with larger-than-life renditions of the Constitution, Liberty Bell, and her signature.
That’s one of hundreds of expenditures listed in SarahPAC’s semi-annual FEC report, which was filed online today. The former Alaska governor’s political action committee paid $13,708.44 to the Tennessee company Fast Signs for “Bus Wrap” on May 26, three days before her tour of the northeast kicked off.

“She took a bus tour! And paid money to have the bus decorated! Scandal!”

Of course, I’m sure the guys employed by the sign company in Tennessee didn’t mind getting paid for that work. And I’m sure that House Republican freshmen like Ann Marie Buerkle, Allen West and Renee Ellmer didn’t mind the $5,000 SarahPAC donated to each of their campaigns. Also: $18,700 to Young America’s Foundation, one of the most worthy and respectable conservative non-profit organizations, which trains hundreds of high school and college activists.

The liberal media are once again desperately trying to make scandalous mountains out any molehill related to Sarah Palin — FAIL!

Conservatives4Palin:

Scott Conroy [of Real Clear Politics] also notes that even though these are modest numbers, many small donations would pour in if/when she announces. Many supporters are most likely waiting for an announcement so that they can contribute to her Presidential campaign as opposed to her PAC.

There is no doubt she could raise $5 million in a month, because she is a magnet for small donors. The thing about having lots of small donors to a campaign is that you can always go back to someone who has previously given you $100 and say, “Hey, how about $50 more?” and maintain a steady stream of contributions, whereas, once your big donors “max-out” to the federal limit, they can’t give any more.

Finally, it’s reported she’s got $1.4 million cash on hand. Wouldn’t it be kinda nice if SarahPAC started hitting conservative bloggers’ tip jars?





 Shhhh! I won’t say a word, governor. That next FEC report won’t be released until January, right? Who’s gonna notice that $100?

Pro-Life Republicans Hail ‘Blueprint’ for Investigation of Planned Parenthood

“This is a blueprint — this is an engraved invitation to investigate,” Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.) said Thursday of a new report documenting taxpayer-funded abuses by the nation’s largest abortion provider. “Planned Parenthood has never been adequately investigated,” he said.

Smith, a veteran pro-life leader in Congress, was one of several House Republicans who called for hearings during a Capitol Hill press conference about a new 181-page report by Americans United for Life,  The Case for Investigating Planned Parenthood.

Rep. Randy Hultgren (R-Ill.) called the AUL report “groundbreaking,” and said: “The American people want accountability for how tax dollars are being spent. . . . If there is any question of abuse, misuse or fraud, we need to bring that forward. That is our responsibility as members of Congress.”

“The issue today is, should American taxpayer dollars be going to pay for abortions?” said Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-N.C.). “Overwhelmingly, we’ve heard from the American people that they don’t want to see their funds going that way. . . . The money can be much better spent elsewhere.”

“By Planned Parenthood’s own accounting, $363 million — one-third of its budget annually — comes from the American taxpayer,” said Dr. Charmaine Yoest, president of Americans United for Life.  “While Congress is discussing going deeper in debt and raising the debt ceiling. . . our government is quietly subsidizing the world’s largest abortion provider with $1 million a day.”

Cheryl Wetzstein reports in The Washington Times:

A House hearing has not been set, the members said. However, Rep. Cliff Stearns, Florida Republican and chairman of the House Energy and Commerce subcommittee on oversight and investigations, said in a statement that he is considering holding a hearing on Planned Parenthood. . . .
The Government Accountability Office has reported that Planned Parenthood spent $657.1 million in federal funds from 2002 to 2008, but Americans United for Life researchers found that Planned Parenthood reported more than $2 billion in “government grants and contracts” during that time, [Dr. Yoest] said.
