Dana Pico Schools Jen Rubin (But Trump Derangement Syndrome Is Incurable)

Posted on | November 2, 2022 | 2 Comments

My general stance toward Jennifer Rubin is to ignore her as much as possible, which is quite easy, because she’s become so predictable that no intelligent person takes her seriously. Recall that she was hired by the Washington Post as a “conservative” columnist, but good luck finding any controversial topic on which she takes the conservative position, and since the rise of Donald Trump in 2015, Rubin has been shrieking in unison with all the other #NeverTrump True Conservative Principles™ types who lost their minds from Trump Derangement Syndrome.

After the husband of Speaker Nancy Pelosi was attacked Friday in the couple’s San Francisco mansion by a deranged Canadian nudist, Jennifer Rubin immediately jumped onto the left-wing media bandwagon — did I mention she’s predictable? — trying to blame this incident on “extremist” rhetoric from Republicans. Jeff Goldstein explains what’s wrong with that narrative (i.e., everything), sparing me the trouble of composing a thorough fisking of Rubin’s Oct. 31 column:

Republicans have made
violence part of their brand

Is it really my duty, as a mere blogger, to dismantle Rubin’s nonsense paragraph by paragraph, sentence by sentence? Is there anything in there that deserves so much of my attention? (Quick scan: nope.)

The unfavorable work-to-annoyance ratio, however, did not discourage Dana Pico at First Street Journal. After a late-night tweet on Sunday when Rubin, perhaps three-quarters of the way through her nightly half-gallon of wine, declared, “if Republicans would stop inciting violence crime might go down,” Dana sprang into action and cited the case of “Killadelphia” as disproving Rubin’s hypothesis:

In 2020, there were 1,009 murders in the Keystone State, 499, or 49.45%, of which occurred in Philadelphia. According to the 2020 Census, Pennsylvania’s population was 13,002,700 while Philadelphia’s alone was 1,603,797, just 12.33% of Pennsylvania’s totals.
It got worse last year: with 562 homicides in Philly, out of 1027 total for Pennsylvania, 54.72% of all homicides in the Keystone State occurred in Philadelphia. Allegheny County, where Pittsburgh is located, was second, with 123 killings, 11.98% of the state’s total, but only 9.52% of Pennsylvania’s population.
The other 65 counties, with 78.11% of the state’s total population, had 33.30% of total murders.
In 2020, Philadelphians gave 81.44% of their votes to Joe Biden. The Mayor, Jim Kenney, is a Democrat, as have been every Mayor since Harry Truman was President. The George Soros-sponsored District Attorney, let ’em loose Larry Krasner, is a Democrat, and won re-election in 2021, by a landslide. Philadelphia is by every possible measure, a heavily Democratic city.
It’s more than that. Those 65 counties other than Philadelphia and Allegheny? They gave 54.98% of their two-party votes — meaning: third party candidates excluded — to President Trump! It seems as though those evil, reich-wing Republicans whom Mrs Rubin claims are “inciting violence” are inciting it in heavily Democratic areas!
I’m far less familiar with our other murder capitals, like Baltimore (87.28% of vote in Baltimore City to Mr Biden) and St Louis (80.85% of vote in St Louis city to Mr Biden) and New Orleans (83.15% of Orleans Parish to Mr Biden) and Chicago (74.35% of vote in Cook County to Mr Biden), but it seems like most them are not exactly Republican strongholds.
It’s clear: Mrs Rubin somehow sees the assault on Mr Pelosi as somehow a far, far, far worse thing than the 441 murders in Philadelphia so far this year, or the 562 who were killed in 2021. I suppose I can only fault her partially for that, because that’s pretty much the way the Democrats as a whole see things.

These statistics are insuperable proof that Jen Rubin is an idiot and, to repeat what I’ve often said before: Crime is a people problem.

Democrats want us to believe crime is caused by guns, or poverty, or racism, but in fact crime is caused by — wait for it — criminals.

Democrats don’t want to put criminals in prison, because — once again, wait for it — Democrats are the pro-crime party. When people elect Democrats, they are voting for more crime, so the people of Philadelphia are actually choosing the daily bloodbath that is destroying their city.

Jennifer Rubin doesn’t care how many people get murdered in Philadelphia (or St. Louis, or New Orleans, or Baltimore, or any other Democrat-controlled urban hellhole) as long as the survivors keep electing Democrats. This is the sum and essence of her politics — Democrats good, Republicans bad — and no amount of evidence will change her mind. Trump Derangement Syndrome is incurable.

Red Wave Hits New Hampshire?

Posted on | November 1, 2022 | Comments Off on Red Wave Hits New Hampshire?

This would almost certainly flip the Senate to GOP control:

New Hampshire Republican Senate candidate Gen. Don Bolduc has taken the lead for the first time over Democrat Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH) in New Hampshire’s Senate race, a Tuesday Saint Anselm poll revealed.
Forty-eight percent of voters selected Gen. Bolduc, while Hassan only garnered 47 percent, well below the coveted 50 percent threshold for an incumbent. Three percent were unsure.
The poll surveyed 1,541 New Hampshire likely voters from October 28-29 with a 2.5 margin of error.
Campaign spokeswoman Kate Constantini told Breitbart News the result of the polls shows the Bolduc campaign’s grassroots initiatives are producing results.
“This result is not surprising since General Bolduc has spent this entire campaign speaking directly with New Hampshire voters about the important issues facing our country,” Constantini said. “Momentum is hard to get and even harder to stop, and we are taking nothing for granted this last week of the campaign.”
Gen. Bolduc has clawed his way into the one-point lead, a gain of 12 points in just six weeks, when Hassan had an 11 point lead. A Suffolk University/Boston Globe poll four weeks ago showed Hassan with a nine point lead (50-41 percent) over Gen. Bolduc.
That lead was cut to seven points (52-45 percent) in an October 12 AARP poll. Both polls showed Hassan with majority support.
On October 21, a Fabrizio, Lee & Associates poll showed Gen. Bolduc had tied the race (45-45 percent) with seven percent undecided.
During the campaign, Gen. Bolduc has highlighted four issues: inflation, gas prices, crime, and open borders. According to third quarter fundraising totals, Bolduc has been outspent by $9 million dollars.

So it’s not just one poll — there is a trend of polls showing that the race has shifted toward Bolduc since late September, and this picture of increasing GOP momentum is a nationwide phenomenon. Democrats got a summer poll bump from the Supreme Court abortion decision, but that began fading in September and, over the course of October, the signs of an approaching “red wave” began to multiply. Crucially, Democrats started shifting resources away from defending House seats in districts that Biden had won in 2020 by a few points, toward districts where Biden had won by eight, nine, 10 points. In other words, the Democrats’ own internal polling shows a shift from D to R on a scale similar to the way Virginia flipped last year. Real Clear Politics now projects Bolduc winning in New Hampshire, and FiveThirtyEight is now projecting a GOP Senate majority, based mainly on Adam Laxalt’s strong Senate race in Nevada.

We’re planning a special Election Night edition of The Other Podcast, starting next Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET and running until 1 a.m. The outcome in New Hampshire will be one of the earliest indicators of how the night is shaping up, but I anticipate that nearly every key Senate race will be deemed “too close to call” by the media until midnight or later. Because you’ve got to wait on those mysterious 2 a.m. ballot dumps, am I right?

OK, sorry, didn’t mean to stoke your paranoia — and possibly incite political violence — by suggesting that Democrats might steal the election again, but we all know that Democrats will always cheat enough to win any close election, which means that in order for Republicans to win, they must beat “the margin of theft.” If it’s not close, they can’t steal it.

I am not an “election denier.” I am an election realist.

Real-Life Horror Story: ‘Demonic Possession, Exorcism and Blood Rituals’

Posted on | October 31, 2022 | Comments Off on Real-Life Horror Story: ‘Demonic Possession, Exorcism and Blood Rituals’

Murder suspects Dejaune Anderson (left) and Dawn Coleman.

It’s Halloween, but you don’t need ghost stories or scary movies to be afraid this year. There are real-life monsters out there in the world, and they are literally killing children:

A probable cause affidavit for suspect Dawn Coleman, who faces felony charges for neglect and obstruction of justice, paints a picture of the strange circumstances leading up to [5-year-old Cairo Ammar Jordan’s] death that led police to identify his mother [Dejaune Anderson] as a murder suspect. Posts about demonic possession, exorcism and blood rituals were used as evidence to develop probable cause to arrest Coleman and look for Anderson. Investigators also found photos of Anderson with the child on social media and Coleman with the distinct suitcase. . . .
Police obtained search warrants for the Facebook accounts of Dejaune Anderson and Dawn Coleman.
Investigators said Dejaune Anderson sent messages on her Facebook account. . . .
According to the affidavit, the [Feb. 19] post said:
“Can’t wait to tell my story: I had to raise my frequency, heal myself and past lives, heal my ancestors, heal (s***) in the universe, heal Gaia to exorcism a very powerful demonic force from within my son. (Had ppl in enough alignment with their soul to assist me.) Still I chose my soul and was able to completely heal myself and remove old paradigms from my mind. I know you can chose your soul with no questions asked.” . . .
Anderson had a run-in with South Carolina Highway Patrol [on March 12] and was charged with several traffic violations and child endangerment.
She was allegedly driving 92 miles per hour in a 60-mile-per-hour zone. Police said Dawn Elaine Coleman and a child, who Anderson said was her 5-year-old son, were also in the car. Troopers broke through the back driver’s side window when the women allegedly didn’t comply with police orders.
Anderson was booked into Colleton County Jail and Coleman and the child went to a hotel, according to the affidavit. . . .
After the South Carolina incident, police said Djaune Anderson posted:
“Stop getting caught up in the vessels of this realm. You guys get caught up with how old the body is, if they adult and kids, etc. Don’t even know it’s a full grown demon in the child body telling you what to do because you didn’t choose your soul. Better start using your 3rd eye.” . . .
Three days later police said there were several more posts:
“Can’t wait to tell this story”
“About that exorcism”
“A book about living with a demonic child
“And a podcast” . . .

(Oh, of course — it’s 2022! You can’t exorcise the “full grown demon” from your 5-year-old without telling the story on a podcast!)

Police in Kentucky arrested Anderson [on March 31] less than one month after her incident in South Carolina when she allegedly tried to steal clothes from a Von Maur store and then punched a security officer in the face.
Police believe Anderson called Coleman from Jefferson County Kentucky Jail.
She led troopers on a chase for about 30 miles in a 2019 Dodge Challenger before she ran out of gas.
Police said Coleman made a post [April 8] on her Facebook account:
“Just because the avatar is of what we call a child does not mean that it is actually a child there are beings that are here that are not supposed to be here that pick avatars to hide behind to play roles to steal energy and to ruin lives you better check to see if the children that you think are children actually have souls or if they’re not menevolent beings with a soul and in a child Avatar. Magic is real curses are real and there are some very powerful evil beings there that will curse your womb and then some. Nothing is what It seems and we are catering to evil beings in children avatars that aren’t even children. Vail need to rise most of won’t most will be wiped out because of your demons in this paradigm has no room for that. AK MG.” . . .
The day Anderson was released [from jail on April 11], police said she posted:
“Just got out of a jail mission”
“Yes had to do some healing and killing” . . .
Police used cell phone data from two cell phone numbers they said Anderson and Coleman used. [On April 14, the women] were in the area [Cairo Jordan’s] body was found from around 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Video from a neighbor’s home shows a car on Holder road at around 4:53 p.m. Police said it stopped where the suitcase was found. . . .
The post [on Anderson’s Facebook account April 15] said:
“This is a whole demon in a child body. Why you think she need a cigarette?! ! Losing energy huh! 64 years old in a child body. Was full of gifts and magickal rites stronger than many of you because your frequency not high enough. Start asking spirit to reveal these things to you hiding behind a body.”
April 16, 2022: Body of Cairo Jordan found in suitcase in Indiana
A man who said he was mushroom hunting on his property found the suitcase on Holder Road in Washington County, Indiana.
The man told investigators he opened the suitcase and found a pillow with a black trash bag inside. He made the horrifying discovery after ripping the bag open.
That same day, investigators said the Dodge Challenger registered to Anderson was captured driving on Interstate 65 from Indiana to Kentucky at about 8:16 p.m.

Before we discuss anything else, let me ask this obvious question: How were these two women paying their bills? In March, they were busted by state troopers in South Carolina. Three weeks later, they led Kentucky state troopers on a 30-mile chase. They were driving a late-model Dodge Challenger which, even if they bought it used, would cost around $30,000. Are you driving a high-powered sports car? You go to work five days a week to pay your bills, right? But can you afford to just drive all over the place — South Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana, etc. — in a late-model Dodge Challenger while occasionally trying to outrun the police? No, I’m pretty sure you couldn’t afford that lifestyle. So the question arises, how were Dejaune Anderson and Dawn Coleman paying their bills during this multi-week cross-country expedition?

My brother Kirby called this story to my attention, and wondered how it was that authorities in South Carolina and Kentucky who arrested Dejaune Anderson never called in child protective services? Like, here’s a woman driving 92 mph with her 5-year-old child in the car, and that’s not child endangerment? And while we’re asking questions, didn’t any of these cops notice that Dejaune Anderson is a raving lunatic?

And yet this lunatic is still at large:

A nationwide search is underway for the mother of a young boy found dead in a suitcase, a son she claimed to be possessed. . . .
Anderson is five-feet-five inches tall, weighs 135 pounds, with short dark brown hair. She’s known to wear wigs and hair extensions. Police said she was last seen in Los Angeles, and known to travel around California, as well as Las Vegas and Houston. . . .
Police arrested a second suspect, identified as 40-year-old Dawn Elaine Coleman, in San Francisco. She’s also facing charges of neglect of a dependent resulting in death, and obstruction of justice.

Again — Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vegas, Houston — these women just traveled around all over the country in their late-model sports car, and nobody seems even slightly curious about how they could afford to live this way. Did they hit the lottery? Or perhaps they fraudulently obtained some COVID-19 bailout money? Because my hunch is that these psychotic freaks were not engaged in any sort of lucrative legal employment, and with gas at $4 a gallon, it must have cost quite a lot to drive all over the country in a 6.2-liter hemi Dodge Challenger.

Especially when “very powerful evil beings . . . curse your womb.”

Remember: Crazy People Are Dangerous.

As noted by American Power Blog on Friday, Gisele Bundchen is on the market again. The pioneering Brazilian supermodel, who deserves praise for single-handedly ending the scourge of the “heroin chic” era of modeling, apparently got tired of Tom Brady’s shit, or vice versa, and since I don’t follow celebrity news any more, I don’t know and don’t care which is true. I feel sorry for the kids, though. Divorce always messes up the kids. Anyway, here’s a pic of Ms. Bundchen from her younger days; she’s still hot, but dressing more modestly these days.

Not a great week for my Senators, but not an awful one either: split a pair of games with Boston and lost two out of three at Philadelphia, but except for the final game in Philly the losses were all close. We may be losing the Atlanta and Philadelphia managers for the 1971 season, so if you’re interested, hit me up and I’ll put you in touch with Pete.

Is It #FreeStacy Time Yet?

“For dishonest women like Anita Sarkeesian, feminism is a sort of alchemy by which bullshit is transformed into cash, and she has collected hundreds of thousands of dollars for her ‘non-profit’ activism. How do you suppose such a shrewd opportunist would react to the suggestion that she might have some role in the apparent crackdown on Twitter dissent? Ms. Sarkeesian (a) accused her critics of being paranoid conspiracy theorists, and (b) offered her own paranoid conspiracy theory.”
Robert Stacy McCain, Feb. 26, 2016

More than six years have passed since my @rsmccain account was permanently banned from Twitter, informed that I had been “found to be violating … our rules around participating in targeted abuse,” although they never did tell me (a) who had been “targeted,” (b) how they were “abused,” or (c) how I had been “participating” in this alleged abuse.

There is no due process, you see, when the Left decides it’s time to silence their enemies. You are a Thought Criminal, and therefore you don’t even deserve to know what you did to justify the punishment, which is determined by an unnamed “Trust & Safety” monitor whose judgment cannot be appealed. There is no habeas corpus, as it were, no hearing where the accused has a right to see the evidence against him, no opportunity to cross-examine witnesses, no chance to get justice.

At the time of my banishment in February 2016, friends on Twitter remarked that they had observed nothing unusual in my Twitter stream in the days preceding this sudden and inadequately explained ban. Unlike some other high-profile cases of people banned from Twitter, there was no flagrantly objectionable tweet that anyone could point to and say, “Oh, that is why they banned him.” Of course, I had spent the previous couple of years in a full-frontal attack on radical feminism, and in the process had been drawn into the #GamerGate controversy, but in all those months of online combat, I didn’t “dox” anyone or whatever. So what was this “abuse” in which I “participated,” and who was “targeted”? Your guess is as good as mine. Oh, sure I “deadnamed” a few trannies and said rude things about Laurie Penny and Ella Dawson, but lots of people do stuff like that without getting a lifetime ban from Twitter.

Perhaps now that Elon Musk has purchased Twitter, there will be some sort of accountability for what I contend was a gross violation of my rights, for which several people urged me to file a lawsuit, a course of action I declined, knowing that the miscreants responsible would some day face justice — the wheel of karma would turn — because of a simple truth of the universe: Bad things happen to bad people.

You may have never heard the name Vijaya Gadde, but she was the Twitter executive responsible for their “Trust & Safety” policies. Among other things, Gadde was directly involved in the January 2021 decision to ban President Trump from Twitter, and she was among the first people that Elon Musk fired when he took over the company. Of course, she was guaranteed a “golden parachute” severance payment, and denies that she was a sinister force for censorship, but she can take her ill-gotten gains and wicked reputation somewhere else — a university professorship, perhaps — where there is no requirement that she act honestly or ethically. Vijaya Gadde is an evil person, who enforced a wicked policy, and fucking me over is perhaps not the worst thing she did, but I’d like to imagine that banning me (or, at least, approving the decision to ban me) was ultimately the first blunder that set her on her way to catastrophe.
