Austin Mass Shooting: Media Won’t Describe Suspect Because ‘Stereotypes’

Posted on | June 12, 2021 | Comments Off on Austin Mass Shooting: Media Won’t Describe Suspect Because ‘Stereotypes’

You might think that when 13 people are shot in downtown Austin, and the gunman is still at large, that it would be a public service to describe this murderous maniac. But you’re not “woke” enough:

Police have only released a vague description of the suspected shooter as of Saturday morning. The Austin American-Statesman is not including the description as it is too vague at this time to be useful in identifying the shooter and such publication could be harmful in perpetuating stereotypes and potentially put innocent individuals at risk.

Oh, if it was a right-wing white supremacist Trump voter who had committed this atrocity, you bet the media would have no qualms identifying the suspect, “perpetuating stereotypes” or not. Because the “woke” media have made themselves utterly useless as a source of facts, we must turn to Breitbart for the relevant information:

A statement from the Austin Police Department states . . . “It is unknown if there is one, or multiple suspects involved. There is one suspect described as a black male, with dread locks, wearing a black shirt and a skinny build.” . . . The shooting follows massive cuts in police funding by the Austin City Council. The council cut $150 million from the police budget . . .

Is it any wonder why people hate the “fake news” media?

UPDATE: One suspect is reportedly in custody, but another is still at large. Police are calling it an “isolated incident” — apparently, two guys with a beef started shooting at each other, and all the wounded victims were innocent bystanders in the crowded nightclub district.

‘Biphobia’ and Other Updates

Posted on | June 12, 2021 | Comments Off on ‘Biphobia’ and Other Updates

Remember my post about Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner “coming out” as bisexual? It was noticed by a Reddit contributor who responded with a thread called “I really hate biphobes” under the category of “BIGOTRY.” And you know what? I don’t care. If considering bisexuality to be pathological is wrong, I don’t want to be right.

Here’s an amusing quote from our bisexual Redditor’s post:

If it’s not obvious he has a poor grasp of sexuality and biology

ROTFLMAO. Yes, I am a father of six adult children, four of whom are already married, and who have so far produced five grandchildren, but I have “a poor grasp of sexuality and biology,” as compared to this anonymous Redditor whose evidence of sexual success is . . . what?

People who claim to be experts based on Science with a capital “S” — our bisexual Redditor is almost certainly also a capital-A Atheist — never seem inclined to evaluate sexual behavior from a strictly Darwinian perspective, where reproductive success is all that matters.

If you will go back and read what I wrote about Sophie Turner, you will note that I allude to my own wild youth and, without waving any of my Fifth Amendment protection against self-incrimination, I must assure readers that I cannot fairly be accused of ignorance of “sexuality.”

Nobody’s offered to pay me for a tell-all memoir, so I’ll spare you the lurid details (and thereby retain plausible deniability, just in case), but am I shocked to discover that many young women like Sophie Turner consider themselves “bisexual”? Not in the least. What shocks me is that they’re willing to publicly admit it, and think it’s a source of pride.

“I’m impulsive, amoral and emotionally unstable — admire me!”

Excuse me for not throwing confetti at your “Bisexual Pride” parade, but does it never occur to such people that it might be possible to evaluate human sexual behavior according to an objective standard? The production of offspring being the entire biological purpose of the enterprise, and durable exclusive pair-bonding being necessary to the proper rearing of children, dispassionate reasoning would favor premarital chastity and monogamous fidelity as social ideals, and would abjure sexual promiscuity. Everything not compatible with these goals would be stigmatized, including adolescent “experimentation.”

The Redditor’s accusation of “bigotry” against me implies that such a rational rejection of bisexuality is impossible, and that only unthinking prejudice can explain my refusal to praise Sophie Turner (as she clearly expects to be praised) for “coming out” as bisexual.

Perhaps we can forgive the Redditor for not knowing how thoroughly I researched the topic of sexuality as part of my deep dive into radical feminism (e.g., “Sex Trouble: Radical Feminism and the Long Shadow of the ‘Lavender Menace,’” July 14, 2014). Those years of staring into the abyss of man-hating lunacy were not wasted:

When Massachusetts became the first state to legalize same-sex marriage in 2004, one of the first women to become a lesbian bride was Robyn Ochs. Despite her marriage to Peg Preble, however, Ms. Ochs does not call herself a lesbian. In fact, she is a longtime advocate of feminist bisexuality . . .
Like all feminists, Ms. Ochs condemns heterosexuality as part of a compulsory “system” by which men (yes, all men) oppress women (yes, all women). . . .
Such was the “feminist consciousness” imparted to Robyn Ochs in the 1970s when, as a teenage college student, she took a women’s studies class. Later, when she was in her 20s and “considering a relationship with a woman,” Ms. Ochs “began to see the relevance of feminist theory . . . to my own life.”

How many people have ever heard of Robyn Ochs, the feminist founder of the Boston Bisexual Network? Having spent the time necessary to research the radical origins of the “bisexual pride” movement, I recognize that it is rooted in the anti-male/anti-heterosexual bias of feminism. Why do you think it is that, in recent decades, the number of young women identifying as “bisexual” as increased so much, while the percentage of young men professing bisexuality has scarcely changed at all?

Why do you think Amber Heard destroyed Johnny Depp’s life, anyway?

In 2010, when she was 24, actress Amber Heard publicly “came out” as a lesbian. but a year later seemed to reconsider her identity, saying “I don’t label myself one way or another.” Gosh, what could have prompted such a reconsideration? Heard had been in a relationship with an older woman, Tasya van Ree, since 2008, so why did she suddenly become uncomfortable with the word “lesbian”? Ah, she had a target in her sights: Johnny Depp, with whom she co-starred in The Rum Diary. At the time Heard expressed her disdain for labels, Depp was 47 and in a relationship with Vanessa Paradis, with whom he had two children. Depp was also one of the most successful actors in Hollywood, the star of Disney’s lucrative Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. In 2012, Heard dumped her girlfriend, Depp split with the mother of his children, and they became a couple, marrying in 2015.
This would prove to be the worst mistake of Johnny Depp’s life.

“Never trust a bisexual” — and I hereby prophesy that Joe Jonas will eventually wish he had heeded that warning. Meanwhile . . .

Did you know that Keith Richards used open-G tuning on “Honky-Tonk Women”? That was a song I played in lots of garage bands over the years, and never knew about how Richards specially tuned his guitar — he’s a big fan of open-G, it seems — until I watched it on YouTube.

Ace of Spades runs down Drew Holden’s Twitter thread about how the media narrative about last summer’s riot near the White House helped Biden’s campaign, e.g. “the real inflection point in our polling was the Lafayette Park incident, when Trump used tear gas on innocent people.” The same media outlets are now trying to pretend that the Inspector General’s report debunking that narrative doesn’t expose them as dishonest partisan propagandists. But meanwhile . . .

Thursday, I asked readers to hit my mother-in-law’s tip jar for the 5K “Walk for Life” to benefit Richland Pregnancy Services in Mansfield, Ohio. When I posted that, she was nearing her $400 goal.

Well, guess what? The final total was more than a thousand dollars.

I thank you, my mother-in-law thanks you and, were they old enough to talk, I’m sure the babies of Richland County would thank you.

UPDATE: Thank to the commenter for pointing out that “Gimme Shelter” is played in open-E tuning. That fiendish Keith Richards again! The vampire junkie is as old as my mother-in-law, y’know. Smokin’ Marlboros, drinking Jack Daniels, doing heroin and yet still he seems destined to live to 100, with his devilish guitar tunings.

Dunkin’ Donuts? No, Stabbin’ Donuts!

Posted on | June 11, 2021 | Comments Off on Dunkin’ Donuts? No, Stabbin’ Donuts!

Say hello to Marquavis “Dae Dae” Goolsby, 28, who is both (a) a popular rapper in the Atlanta area and (b) accused of aggravated assault, also (c) not inclined to take “no” for an answer. Like, if this guy comes through your drive-thru line at Dunkin’ Donuts, you’d better pray you’re not out of his favorite pastry, or he’ll stab you — allegedly, I hasten to add:

An Atlanta rapper wanted in connection to a violent stabbing at a Dunkin’ Donuts last year is behind bars, Georgia authorities say.
Marquavis Goolsby, best known by his stage name Dae Dae, was arrested Wednesday on aggravated assault charges, according to Union City Police. He was booked into the Fulton County Jail, where he remained as of Thursday.
Earlier this month, authorities named the 28-year-old as a suspect in the December attack at the Union City shop that left a teen employee with a gash to her arm, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. The stabbing was allegedly sparked by the rapper “not being able to get what he wanted,” according to an incident report obtained by McClatchy News.
“The crazy thing about the entire exchange is that, I believe that he wanted a certain type of donut, or donuts, and they did not have those donuts, apparently,” Kamau Mason, an attorney for the Dunkin’ worker, told WGCL.
Officers arrived to the restaurant at 6 p.m. on Dec. 5 in response to a call about the fight, according to the incident report. A 17-year-old worker told police a man came through the drive-thru and grew upset when they were out of a particular item.
The man sped off but came back a short time later, and he started arguing with employees inside the store, the worker said. Things took a violent turn when the man pulled out a knife and proceeded to swing it at the girl in uniform.
Part of the attack was captured on cell phone video.

So who is Dae Dae, anyway?

This is not Goolsby’s first brush with the law. In 2018, he was arrested on stolen gun and drug charges, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported.
Goolsby was a passenger in a Chevrolet Tahoe that was pulled over for speeding in Greene County. A representative from the Greene sheriff’s office told the AJC at the time that deputies searched the car and found marijuana and a stolen gun. Goolsby claimed that he didn’t know the gun was stolen, the AJC reported.
Goolsby, who has not released new music since 2019, remains best known for his 2016 song “Wat U Mean (Aye Aye Aye),” which he remixed with Lil Yachty the same year. He also released an album in 2016 with Atlanta producer London Tyler Holmes, aka London on da Track, which featured an appearance by 21 Savage.
“Wat U Mean” has racked up more than 54 million streams on Spotify, where he has a monthly average of more than 230,000 listeners. Although his last YouTube upload is more than a year old, he has 214,000 subscribers on the platform.

Just driving around at high speed with dope and a stolen gun which, of course, he didn’t know was stolen. A real honor student, this guy.

The rapper claims he’s being framed, because police are racist or whatever. Just make sure you got the right donuts when he shows up, because you wouldn’t want to get (allegedly) stabbed.

By the way, “local rapper” seems to be rather a dangerous occupation:

Ilhan Omar Quacks Like a Duck

Posted on | June 11, 2021 | Comments Off on Ilhan Omar Quacks Like a Duck

Some people say Jews are too paranoid about anti-Semitism, but given the history, can you blame them? Should they remain silent while the Democratic Party is taken over by “progressive” Jew-haters?

A dozen Jewish Democrat House members are calling out Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for her comparison of the United States and Israel to Hamas terrorists.
Rep. Brad Schneider (D-IL) led the coalition that includes Reps. Jake Auchincloss (D-MA), Ted Deutch (D-FL), Lois Frankel (D-FL), Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ), Elaine Luria (D-VA), Kathy Manning (D-NC), Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), Dean Phillips (D-MN), Kim Schrier (D-WA), Brad Sherman (D-CA), and Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) and issued the following statement:

Equating the United States and Israel to Hamas and the Taliban is as offensive as it is misguided. Ignoring the differences between democracies governed by the rule of law and contemptible organizations that engage in terrorism at best discredits one’s intended argument and at worst reflects deep-seated prejudice.
The United States and Israel are imperfect and, like all democracies, at times deserving of critique, but false equivalencies give cover to terrorist groups. We urge Congresswoman Omar to clarify her words placing the U.S. and Israel in the same category as Hamas and the Taliban.

Omar made the remarks while questioning Secretary of State Antony Blinken during a hearing and expanded on them on Twitter Monday . . .

This is a problem caused by our immigration policy. Beginning in the 1990s, America took in many thousands of refugees from Somalia, and guess what they brought with them? The same evil culture of hatred that had turned their country into one of the worst Third World hellholes.

If you had told me 30 years ago that Minnesota would elect to Congress someone like Ilhan Omar, I would have thought you were crazy. Her presence in Congress is not only a stain on the reputation of Minnesota, but also on the Democratic Party in general. How can it be that, in a congressional district of more than 700,000 people, Democrats could not find any decent, intelligent person to nominate to Congress?

But how many congressional districts could we say the same about? Certainly the 14th District of New York comes to mind:

Wait a minute, you dimwit: Who is vilifying whom here?

Who is putting whom in danger?

Oh, that would be Ilhan Omar, vilifying Israel and putting Israeli lives in danger from her Jew-hating Hama terrorist allies. Democrats are on the wrong side of Genesis 12:3, and ought to fear God’s wrath.

Hit My Mother-in-Law’s Tip Jar?

Posted on | June 10, 2021 | Comments Off on Hit My Mother-in-Law’s Tip Jar?

Of all the tip-jar rattles I’ve ever done, this is the most special: My wife’s mother, now 80 and having recently undergone knee replacement surgery, will be doing a 5K Saturday — the Walk for Life to benefit Richland Pregnancy Services, a pro-life ministry in Mansfield, Ohio.

My mother-in-law is a very special woman, the mother of six children, she also adopted one of her nieces, and now has 24 grandchildren, as well as a growing number of great-grandchildren.

In addition to being the honored matron of her own family, my mother-in-law is also the bulwark of the Galion Seventh-Day Adventist Church, in whose behalf she will be undertaking Saturday’s 5K. Let me inform you a bit about the cause she’s raising money for:

The Walk for Life is a family-friendly event that supports Richland Pregnancy Services in offering free pregnancy testing, limited ultrasound, STD testing, abstinence education, parenting classes, mentoring, material support and more. . . .
Richland Pregnancy Services aims to raise $20,000 at this year’s Walk for Life.
Richland Pregnancy Services is a faith based 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

As of midnight, my mother-in-law had nearly reached her original goal of raising $400, but is $400 really enough for such a worthy cause? No, we can exceed that many times over because I know our readers are pro-life and what better way than to do something that will directly benefit young mothers in the heartland state of Ohio? Richland Pregnancy Services really does a lot to help these families — when they say “material support,” they mean it — which is why my mother-in-law with her surgically-rehabbed knees is going to be walking more than three miles to raise money for them. And I think you all know that the Five Most Important Words in the English Language apply.

Thanks in advance, on behalf of the babies whose lives you can save.
