While I’m sorting through my roster trying to figure out which ten -I think it’s ten- players I want to keep*, the Cincinnati Reds are playing the Baltimore Orioles for all the marbles in Pete’s league. The Chicago Cubs (79-83) and Montreal Expos (66-96) are looking for new managers, so if you want to give Dynasty League baseball a try, you could do worse than take over one of these teams.

RussiaGate: ‘But I Didn’t Know Until This Day That It Was Hillary Clinton All Along’
Posted on | August 2, 2025 | 1 Comment

Of course I’m kidding. We’ve all known from the get-go who was really behind the “Russian collusion” hoax, but I just had to use that line from The Godfather now, because the release of the so-called Durham annex (previously classified evidence obtained by John Durham during his Special Counsel investigation) has finally proven what we’ve suspected. We have reached that “a-ha!” moment, like Don Corleone watching Barzini play puppet-master to Tattaglia in the meeting of the Five Families, where everything is now crystal clear.
Matt Taibbi, who has been covering this story for years, points out that it “has long been one of the most convoluted, hard-to-follow news stories of all time,” but the convolutions are now resolved:
Now, we know. With the help of the declassified Durham material, we can explain the whole affair in three brushstrokes.
One, Hillary Clinton and her team apparently hoped to deflect from her email scandal and other problems via a campaign tying Trump to Putin. Two, American security services learned of these plans. Three — and this is the most important part — instead of outing them, authorities used state resources to massively expand and amplify her scheme. The last stage required the enthusiastic cooperation and canine incuriosity of the entire commercial news business, which cheered as conspirators made an enforcement target of Trump, actually an irrelevant bystander.
It’s the motive that explains everything, you see. Too many people have forgotten — or, if they were getting their news from the mainstream media, never knew about — the scandal of Hillary’s private email server. As Secretary of State during the first term of Obama’s presidency, her official communications were covered by the Federal Records Act, but it was discovered that she had used “a private email server for official public communications rather than using official State Department email accounts maintained on federal servers.” The FBI investigated and found that at least 100 of these emails “contained information that should have been deemed classified at the time they were sent, including 65 emails deemed ‘Secret’ and 22 deemed ‘Top Secret.'”
Hillary Clinton broke the law and, in doing so, jeopardized national security. And then there were the more 30,000 deleted emails, which looks an awful lot like obstruction of justice to me, but I am not a lawyer.
That is the email scandal from which Hillary wanted to “deflect,” as Taibbi says, by ginning up the Trump-Russia hoax. It should not be confused with the DNC email leak (or “hack”), although the two are closely intertwined. What was the content of those emails?
The leaks resulted in allegations of bias against Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaign, in apparent contradiction with the DNC leadership’s publicly stated neutrality, as several DNC operatives openly derided Sanders’s campaign and discussed ways to advance Clinton’s nomination. Later reveals included controversial DNC–Clinton agreements dated before the primary, regarding financial arrangements and control over policy and hiring decisions. The revelations prompted the resignation of DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz before the 2016 Democratic National Convention. The DNC issued a formal apology to Bernie Sanders and his supporters “for the inexcusable remarks made over email” that did not reflect the DNC’s “steadfast commitment to neutrality during the nominating process.” After the convention, DNC CEO Amy Dacey, CFO Brad Marshall, and Communications Director Luis Miranda also resigned in the wake of the controversy.
What the DNC emails showed was that the Democratic Party’s nominating process had been rigged in Hillary Clinton’s favor, which Bernie Sanders’ supporters had believed even before the emails were released by Wikileaks in July 2016. It had the effect of de-energizing a substantial fraction of the Democrats’ grassroots “base.” So these were two separate email scandals affecting Hillary’s campaign, both of which lent credibility to Trump’s “crooked Hillary” rhetoric, and the response from the Clinton team — the gambit that has since become known as RussiaGate — was to kill two birds with one stone, as it were. By claiming that the leaked DNC emails were “hacked” by Russian spies (a claim that has been asserted, rather than proven), Hillary used a DARVO (Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender) strategy. Instead of her being the perpetrator of wrongdoing, Hillary presented herself as being the victim of wrongdoing, targeted by the sinister Vladimir Putin, of whom Trump was accused of being an ally. This had the added benefit, as Taibbi says, of distracting from the scandal of Hillary’s illegal use of a private email server during her tenure as Secretary of State.
Democrats now say 'no one argued that Russia hacked the 2016 election' — yet here is Hillary Clinton herself doing exactly that.
May 2019: Hillary claims Russia hacked the election, and that the election “wasn't on the level."
Hillary: “[Mueller] didn't investigate whether or… pic.twitter.com/9ltmzgwKsE
— Western Lensman (@WesternLensman) August 1, 2025
The revelations from the Durham annex, coming in the wake of other disclosures by Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard, provide us with a very detailed understanding of how Team Hillary got the Obama administration’s intelligence community (IC) to support the “Russian collusion” narrative, which is how former DNI James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey are involved, along with many others (e.g., Susan Rice) who participated in the corrupt conspiracy that is RussiaGate.
An interesting side note — adding another convolution to the saga — is how an operative from the George Soros organization suggested the idea of designating the (imaginary) Russian “election interference” as an attack on “critical infrastructure,” to justify invoking the Patriot Act. This is how the IC got into the business of censoring alleged “misinformation” on social media, to “fortify” elections against “interference.”
We thus arrive at the scene where the Godfather realizes “it was Barzini all along” and you know what that means. Eventually, someone must settle all family business, and Carlo gets handed an airplane ticket.

What Causes Racism?
Posted on | July 31, 2025 | 1 Comment

The answer in two words: Cornell University.
Cornell University causes racism:
I applied to countless tenure-track positions across the country in 2019 and 2020. One of those applications went to Cornell, for a position in their Neurobiology and Behavior department. Unknown to me, a few months later Cornell initiated a separate search for a faculty member in evolutionary biology—my exact field—but kept it confidential. Internal emails now show this was no accident.
Last month, the America First Policy Institute released internal Cornell emails showing the university conducted an effort to recruit what the search committee referred to as a “diversity hire.” One committee member described the process bluntly: “What we should be doing is inviting one person whom we have identified as being somebody that we would like to join our department and not have that person in competition with others.” That “somebody,” who is black, was selected not because of research excellence, but because of race. I was denied the chance to compete—so were other academics who might have been qualified.
This discriminatory practice, conducted in coordination with Cornell’s Office of the Provost—led at the time by current Cornell President Michael Kotlikoff—violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, which prohibits employment discrimination on the basis of race. That’s why, with representation from the America First Policy Institute, I’m taking legal action against Cornell.
What makes this worse is the university’s continued dishonesty. This year, Mr. Kotlikoff wrote: “We do not exclude anyone at Cornell for reasons irrelevant to merit, neither do we admit or evaluate students, hire or promote employees, award chairs or tenure, or make any other merit-driven decisions at Cornell based on race, ethnicity, or other attributes not relevant to merit.” The leaked documents show otherwise.
In addition to orchestrating the discriminatory hiring scheme, Cornell created other racially filtered hiring pipelines, including a $16 million National Institutes of Health-funded initiative called the Faculty Institutional Recruitment for Sustainable Transformation program. or First. This program, the stated purpose of which is “enhancing compositional diversity,” required hiring committees to revise applicant lists repeatedly until they were diverse enough. If the applicant pool wasn’t diverse enough, the process was paused for “additional robust outreach.” . . .
You can read the rest from Colin Wright.
To be white is to be persona non grata at Cornell and other Ivy League universities. They hate white people, and will engage in illegal discrimination to prevent white people from being hired. As I’ve been saying for years, The Ivy League Is Decadent and Depraved.

Reluctantly, I Add My Two Cents to the World-Historic Sydney Sweeney Discourse
Posted on | July 30, 2025 | Comments Off on Reluctantly, I Add My Two Cents to the World-Historic Sydney Sweeney Discourse

This seemed like it was going to be one of those weird social-media episodes that would get a few laughs and disappear before I could be bothered to write about it, but then ABC’s Good Morning America felt the need to weigh in on the Sydney Sweeney Nazi Jeans Scandal, and so here we are, on a Wednesday, still talking about it.
Holy crap, Good Morning America on Disney owned ABC ran a story this morning saying the Sydney Sweeney clothing ad is connected to Nazis. Legacy media is dead: pic.twitter.com/IcPmRJr8R0
— Clay Travis (@ClayTravis) July 29, 2025
Making a sophomoric double-entendre — “jeans”/“genes” — American Eagle employed This Year’s It Girl to promote their product: “Great jeans,” get it? And were it not for the fact that Donald Trump is president and half of our fellow citizens are in a state of panic-stricken hysteria, this not-remotely-clever ad campaign would never have become such a thing as to attract scrutiny from Major National News Organizations. But the same deranged mentality that justified baseball taking the All-Star Game out of Atlanta because Joe Biden called their election law “Jim Crow 2.0” continues to prevail among the kind of people who voted for Kamala Harris, so I find myself on a Wednesday being compelled to comment on an advertising campaign for overpriced blue jeans.
Leftist says the Sydney Sweeney jeans ad is N*zi propaganda and will be in history books.
Here’s a history lesson, people with septum nose rings have always been wrong about everything they’ve ever said.

YOU PEOPLE NEED TO GET A GRIP!
GO OUTSIDE AND TOUCH GRASS ONCE IN A WHILE!
Excuse me for shouting, but there is actual important news that I would much rather be commenting about, were it not for the major media pandering to the psychiatric foibles of neurotic leftists and thereby forcing me to express my opinions regarding Sydney Sweeney and her unusually large, pendulous breasts. Stop twisting my arm, guys.

Sydney Sweeney is “ugly and startling”? What?
The internet has been quick to condemn the advertisement as noninclusive at best and as overtly promoting “white supremacy” and “Nazi propaganda” at worst. These critics point to the copy and the implication of calling a white person superior because of their genes. . . .
The advertisement, the choice of Sweeney as the sole face in it and the internet’s reaction reflect an unbridled cultural shift toward whiteness, conservatism and capitalist exploitation. Sweeney is both a symptom and a participant.
DO YOU NEED ME TO START SHOUTING AGAIN?
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?
Deep breaths. Calming down now. What this reminds me of is how, during the height of the 2020 George Floyd Summer of Love, there were a lot of SJW types promoting concepts of “structural racism” and “systemic oppression,” so that traits like good grammar and punctuality were condemned as symbolic expressions of white supremacy. And this is supposed to help black people how? Stigmatizing good behavior as “racist” was unlikely to have the effect that progressives imagined. Plenty of people after hearing such claims might reasonably conclude that if, e.g., showing up for work on time is “white supremacy,” then maybe white supremacy isn’t so bad after all. But even if they didn’t reach that conclusion, you’re still not helping matters by making such far-fetched accusations of white supremacy, as in Aesop’s fable of the boy who cried “wolf.” If you run around calling everybody a Nazi, nobody’s going to pay attention to you if you ever do succeed in finding an actual Nazi.
It has been pointed out, by the way, that the CEO of American Eagle is Jay Schottenstein, who is most certainly not a Nazi. In fact — it should not be necessary to say this, but it’s 2025 — you’re not endorsing Nazism, or white supremacy, or eugenics, merely by acknowledging the hereditary nature of such traits as blue eyes, blonde hair and enormous gazongas.
Jeff Goldstein: “Genes are a real thing. It’s ok to acknowledge them. Heredity isn’t Nazi.” Where did anyone ever get the idea that simply recognizing biological reality — children resemble their parents — is some kind of dangerous “hate speech”? What really inspires these hysterical denunciations of Sydney Sweeney? Is it mere ignorance, or is it some kind of emotional disturbance rooted in envy and insecurity?
We may have reached Peak Godwin’s Law this week, and I would hope that the Serious Journalism People are so embarrassed by this that they will re-think their life choices and repent of their sins. As for me, it’s Wednesday, so I’ve got to get working on the Anschluss before I demand the Sudetenland, and I think you know what comes next.
