Jack Abramoff’s Ghost!

With the support of Sen. Chris Dodd, D.-Conn., the federal government has awarded $54 million to Connecticut’s politically well-connected Mohegan Indian tribe, which operates one of the highest grossing casinos in the U.S.
The tribe runs the sprawling Mohegan Sun casino, halfway between New York City and Boston, which earned more than $1.3 billion in gross revenues in 2009.

Am I the only one who remembers the outrage about special deals for gaming tribes when Republicans were in charge of Congress?

Meanwhile, Dan Riehl and Doug Powers call attention to Joe Biden’s summer Stimulupalooza Tour. Maybe it will be like the Grateful Dead, with hippies selling incense and tie-dye T-shirts in the parking lot.

I’m sure that every tax paying American will have the cockles of their hearts warmed to know that federal “stimulus” money is going to casino shareholders!

Since the Left is always accusing us of Imperialism anyway, how about a small, Grenada style raid to claim these lands for the US?

    Just a thought…

Ah, how J.D. Hayworth’s heartbeat must quicken at the very mention of Abramoff!

Say, Jack, he never reimbursed you the costs of using your stadium sky box for fundraising events, either, did he? I mean, if a candidate doesn’t do that, hasn’t he accepted an illegal contribution in kind?

What’s the statute of limitations on stuff like that, anyway?
