White Hipster Beaten by Black Teen: ‘Shouldn’t Be Listening to Rap Music’

Cultural criticism in Broward County, Florida:

Declaring that white people “shouldn’t be listening to rap music,” a 14-year-old Florida boy allegedly assaulted a man Monday night in what police say was a racially-motivated attack. The teenager was arrested after he allegedly struck the 22-year-old victim, who is white, in the face. According to a Palm Bay Police Department report . . . the victim was on a sidewalk listening to rap music when he was confronted by the boy and other teenagers. The suspect told the man to turn off his music, adding that he was “white and he shouldn’t be listening to rap music.” When the victim replied that he “could listen to whatever he wants,” the suspect “repeatedly” punched him in the face.

    While I agree with Atilla, the attack is not surprising — just as the White House and the NAACP were not surprised to see a black official caught on tape pondering a “Get Whitey” posture.

    f all of you! i was attacked for no reason…no justification is there whatsoever! i have permanent damage to my retina and have to wear either contacts or glasses for the rest of my life…. now i can and will listen to whatever i want and i will sue the state if they dont gharge him with a hate crime. if me and 7 of my white friends jumped one black male there would be no thought about wether or not it was a hate crime!!!! think about that one for a second you idiots…go to college!
