Fake Republican, Real Hate: Democrat Tries Moby ‘Racist’ Smear on Rand Paul

moby (n) — An insidious and specialized type of left-wing troll who visits blogs and impersonates a conservative for the purpose of either spreading false rumors intended to sow dissension among conservative voters, or who purposely posts inflammatory and offensive comments for the purpose of discrediting the blog in question. The term is derived from the name of the liberal musician Moby, who famously suggested in February of 2004 that left-wing activists engage in this type of subterfuge . . .

Now watch as “Tyler,” a moby who supports Kentucky Democrat candidate Jack Conway, gets dead-cold busted trying to perpetrate a racism smear against Republican Rand Paul:

Hat tip to Jim Antle at The American Spectator, who links Dave Weigel who — surprise, surprise — is utterly convinced by the Conway campaign’s disavowal of “Tyler.”

    Truly this young man made a terrible mistake, but has anyone ever considered he’s probably just a young college kid that did something stupid. I think we sometimes forget what it was like when we were that age. The kid messed up, and I guarantee he is paying for it dearly.
