Why Ferguson?

Posted on | November 25, 2014 | 123 Comments

Riot police on the streets of Ferguson, Missouri.

“Fox and CNN viewers witnessed a police car, a car dealership and the local Little Caesar’s Pizza set ablaze, a beauticians’ store looted, a McDonald’s with its windows smashed — and ‘Full circle: Liquor store Michael Brown accused of robbing being looted.'”
Ed Driscoll, Nov. 24, 2014

The grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri, returned a “no bill” against police officer Darren Wilson, and devotees of the slain Saint Michael Brown — a martyr to the Holy Cause, in the eyes of idolators who worship at the Civil Rights altar — engaged in a ritual riot, while the High Priest of Social Justice, Barack Obama, gave a ceremonial press statement.

Why?

That question goes unasked in the wall-to-wall cable TV news coverage. Because I’m up to my eyeballs in a book project, I don’t have time to pay attention to every Major National News Story that comes along, but I’ve spent the past three months wondering, “Why Ferguson?”

It’s like Trayvon Martin. The basic idea of that drama was, a black teenager got shot by a white man and this was an injustice.

Of course, black teenagers are shot to death on a daily basis in America, but because they are usually killed by other black teenagers, there is nothing in the death of a young hoodlum of interest to the Civil Rights cult unless the shooter is white (or at least half-white, as it turned out that George Zimmerman’s mother is Hispanic).  This cultural phenomenon is so obvious, one hesitates to state it so explicitly: “Civil Rights” has been re-defined to mean “whatever gives black people an excuse to hate white people more than they already do,” and the journalistic establishment is committed to inciting such hatred.

A white person has to be pretty goddamned privileged, if I may borrow that phrase from the social-justice theorists, to pander to professional grievance-mongers in such a blatantly irresponsible manner. You need a degree from an elite college, and a job in media or academia that pays you a handsome salary, in order to be the kind of white person who believes that stoking black anger is beneficial to society, and yet it is clear that many white liberals do believe this.

“In the hands of a skillful indoctrinator, the average student not only thinks what the indoctrinator wants him to think . . . but is altogether positive that he has arrived at his position by independent intellectual exertion. This man is outraged by the suggestion that he is the flesh-and-blood tribute to the success of his indoctrinators.”
William F. Buckley Jr., Up From Liberalism (1959)

Excuse me for re-using that Buckley quote, but we cannot understand liberalism without recognizing it as an effect of indoctrination.

Why do liberals “think” the way they do? In fact, they don’t actually think at all. Our elite are utterly irrational, like the monkey in the psych lab experiment, pushing the button in the Skinner box to get another hit of cocaine, heedless of the consequences. Our current system of education does not teach facts and skills, it teaches attitudes, and one of the prescribed attitudes is: Black, good; white, bad.

Liberalism involves a crude Manichean worldview:

Women, good; men, bad.
Youth, good; adults, bad.
Atheists, good; Christians, bad.
Hedonism, good; responsibility, bad.
Abortion, good; motherhood, bad.
Sodomy, good; normal sex, bad.
Wilderness, good; carbon energy, bad.
Labor unions, good; entrepreneurs, bad.
Government, good; corporations, bad.
Foreigners, good; Americans, bad.
Democrats, good; Republicans, bad.

It is this last distinction — blind loyalty to the Democrat Party — which is the ultimate goal of the attitudinal training we now call “education.” Our government school system annually hands diplomas to teenagers who can barely even read their diplomas, and the bureaucratic mediocrities who run the system don’t care that their “education” teaches kids nothing useful, so long as the student learns to vote Democrat.

What did public schools teach Michael Brown? That it is entirely acceptable to get high on dope, steal from a local convenience store and, when apprehended by a police officer, to resist a lawful arrest:

“The witness’s account of the unarmed Brown
charging Wilson — even after he had been shot in the
hand during a struggle at the cop’s patrol car —
supports the officer’s contention that he fired
a series of shots as Brown bore down on him.”

The governor of Missouri is a Democrat. The mayor of Ferguson is a Democrat. The prosecuting attorney in the case is a Democrat. I’m not sure there were any Republicans on the grand jury that returned a no-bill against Officer Wilson. Yet the media manipulators who are stoking racial rage over this story are doing so with the certain knowledge that, by fomenting anti-white resentments, they are serving the political interests of the Democrat Party.

That’s all it is, nothing more.  They should be ashamed of themselves, but if liberals had any sense of shame they would not be liberals.

And those same people who think that crack was intentionally let loose in the black neighborhoods got all hot under the collar when drug laws got stiff. They said that prosecuting crack dealers was just a way to imprison the black man.

So is crack good or bad? They can’t tell you.

Why Ferguson, indeed? I lay this (and the urban unrest ahead) at the feet of the race baiters, poverty pimps, class envy preachers who constantly stir the pot for either monetary or political gain.
Obama, Holder, the wretched fake preachers, the leftist rabble rousers are pulling the house down on our heads.

What if a news outlet devoted equal time to every killing in America, regardless of circumstances? And once the event met its quota, it would never be mentioned again as news, although they could still report on other peoples’ politicization of the news. What would the “people what got killed by someone else yesterday” segment look like on an average day, and would it tend to inflame or reduce tensions resulting from the politicized events?

Weren’t the brownshirts scapegoated? Do the “brownskirt” SJWs really expect to fare better in victory? I think they should hope for defeat.

The higher level of anger among blacks (I refuse to call it a “community” because it isn’t) is not justified. What it does reflect is the agitprop pushed by the poverty pimps and falsely labeled “civil rights” leaders.

CNN, race baiting. Why doesn’t that surprise me?

Chris Wallace, however, is a bad sign, particularly given he tried to nail Cruz. I guess Wallace is tired of living in his father’s dishonest shadow and he wants to make his own dishonest shadow.

Moynihan had some brains, but not much. George Shultz nailed him during one flight when they were both in the Nixon Administration. Moynihan was just discovering what markets do in the drug trade, and Shultz snidely retorted “you’re learning.”

I would have been quite embarrassed, but, like the typical libtard, Moynihan had no shame.

As I recall, St Nick was not at Nicaea. He lived later. Nicaea was pretty peaceful since the Emperor actually presided over the council and delivered the canons of the Council. Constantine would have regarded such an assault as a deep affront.

Another factor was the Church had not had worldly attitudes infiltrate to that extent. The Council of Ephesus, however, was a different matter.

In 2 Thessalonians 2:7-12, Paul said,

7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Ungodly people are already accepting tons of lies from political parties and government. It isn’t hard to believe that people will believe the guy who comes on a horse who claims to have all the answers and keep the gravy train on the tracks.

He will, for a short bit, or at least seem to do so. But, when Christ returns to rule, that will be the end of that, and those that bought the lie will be cut off from the face of the earth forever.

It was for good reason that both Jesus Christ and Paul used the phrase “be not deceived. Christ in Luke 21:8 and Paul in 1 Corinthians 6:9, 15:36 and Galatians 6:7. But, Satan is getting plenty of practice, and is already quite good at deception. When the Beast rises, and starts his song and dance, he’ll know exactly what to say to fool most of the world.

ONLY in the eyes of the law…technically.

In the eyes of special interest groups, perpetual victims, Democrats, black folk, lgbtxy’s, progressives and msm outlets you’re only allowed to defend yourself if you are a member of one of the above mentioned groups and are able to blame the supposed oppression of your great-great grand parents as having mentally scared you for life.

If you are white and of European descent then although the law may technically let you off the hook, you have obviously been given preferential treatment by your fellow coconspirators and those same above mentioned groups will be screaming for your head.
(And if unable to lynch you then they will burn , loot and cause any other mayhem they feel they are entitled to because that to them is justice.)

I wonder if any of the other self-proclaimed black leadership in Congress or churches or civil rights organizations are questioning the Rev. Sharpton about breaking the law and owing millions of dollars in taxes and penalties or is it more convenient to ask how they too could get away with defrauding an entire race of people out of millions of dollars supposed financial support.

I’m betting on the convenience angle myself.

Orthodox say he lived from 270-343 and was at the Council of Nicea; he was relieved of his bishopric briefly after slapping Arius as both Jesus and the Blessed Mother appeared and he was reinstated. Below is an icon commemorating the event.

I lived in the Baltimore-D.C. area back in the 80s-90’s and an off trotted out excuse was that since no fun company’s are black owned then it’s white peoples fault that guns are making their way into black “communities” and causing all the deaths of young blacks.

    It’s always someone else’s fault ain’t it?

Looks like I got the time frame wrong. For some reason I was thinking he lived about 100 years later. I do seriously doubt he slapped Arius. I’m sure there were many who have liked to do so, but with Constantine watching, I seriously doubt it would have happened.

Their victimhood is just a heck of a lot more easier for them to live with than the complexity of taking responsibility for one’s own life and the wellbeing of one’s own family.

What did the militarization of the police have to do with the shooting of Michael Brown?

The rioters protested the police showing up in protective gear, and demanded the police put it aside, committing vandalism and violence along the way.

When the police set aside the equipment at the rioters’ demands, they “reached across the aisle” by burning the city down.

What distinguished Moynihan was his honesty. He was liberal and believed those policies would work – but if they didn’t, he wanted to know why and to stop doing things that made things worse. Which is why he was something of a pariah in his later years.

And compared to modern Democrats, he was a freaking genius. But so is my dog.
