Conservatives Support Boston Needy Who Were Harmed By #OccupyBoston

You pick your battles. When @ali chimed in on Twitter that Boston’s  “Greenway Mobile Food Fest” fundraiser was getting wrecked by #OccupyBoston, making a donation seemed a twofer: support the genuinely needy, and sticking it to the mooch. Normally, I like more personally directed charity, but this was OK.

As Warner Todd Huston relates, acts of charity which Violate The Narrative go unnoticed:

The media should love this. It’s got clueless, uninformed, cretins hurting an organization that helps feed the needy. It has a more caring group rising to the challenge to help replace those lost donations. Perfect story, right?
Ah, except that it is conservatives in the role of good guy and the Old Media can’t have that, now can they?

It’s all right. Our audience in Heaven, the one who matters, notices. The rewards, positive and negative, shall not go ungiven.

I just got back from the ‘OccupyKC’ rally and it was a real hoot. I got to see in person the chanting/repeating nonsense and got a detailed description of precisely what the finger wiggles mean. And the lecture about ‘horizontal leadership process’ was priceless. This crew couldn’t take the lunch money from a first grader.

Conservatives used to say liberals had “no clue” what the Tea Party was about. Given that, I show them a mirror:

God is just another manipulator, like the Madison Avenue consumer drug pushers or the Wall Street super greedy guts.

What God is selling has even less substance than the puffy derivative confections that sweeten the pockets of the investment bankers while providing no nutrition whatsoever for the suckers who wind up buying them.

What God does, however, is even worse.

First He convinces you that owe a big debt and then He promises to wipe it out for you, if you will only do His bidding.

Of course, He never mentions the fact that His accounting system is completely bogus and that the slate’s been perfectly clean all along.

    Tut tut, Anamika, tut tut!

Your link is to a leftie who ignores three facts:

    1.  The “53% Guy” works as hard as he does because the economy sucks.

    2.  The economy sucks because other lefties (and more than a few RINOs and other so-called conservatives sucking up to the lefties) have screwed up the economy through ill-conceived Keynesian policies.

    3.  Lefties (a/k/a “Democrats”) own this economy.

Ergo, Mr. Udargo is attempting to change the subject from “53% Guy tells lefties to suck it” to “Dude, you’re a victim!” because Mr. Udargo isn’t willing to accept responsibility for the problems the left has dumped on Mr. 53%  Guy.

In other words, Mr.. Urdargo intends to change the subject because it’s unpleasant to lefties everywhere.

Which won’t work, because 53% Guy is not an idiot.  Nor are his peers.

May God have mercy on you, Anamika.
For a rebuttal, see Job 40:6-14, which says, in summary to your ilk: “Bring it.”

Liberals who criticize the Tea Party aren’t idiots either. You can’t have it both ways.

Your hatred is palpable, even over the INTERNET.  And your assertions about God and debts ludicrous in the extreme.

But even more extreme is the implication that you hold charity in contempt.  Perhaps the next time someone offers you a helping hand in a time of need, you might recall this particular fit of rage and hate with a small amount of shame.

Tut tut, Anamika!  Charity from the heart is more precious than any government “freebie”.  Tut tut!

I never called Mr. Udargo an idiot.  I implied that he’s dishonest.  But not an idiot.

I find it very interesting that our resident leftie troll, Anamika, swoops in to crap on a post that points out how lefties interfered with taking care of one of their largest victim classes — the poor.

I trust that everyone here will view that as a good reason not to let her take over the thread with her bilious bile, hate, and rage.  Indeed, discussing her reaction to the reaction of Boston conservatives to a leftie outrage would be an excellent point to consider.

Because it’s patently clear that Anamika doesn’t want the charity of conservatives discussed…..especially when it demonstrates the true values of the left.

What are you so pissed off at God about Anamika? Are you one of his two-baggers? Don’t you know that God loves the homely? Look at it this way, dear girl, beauty is fleeting, but ugly is fucking forever.

What I am saying is that the only God there is, is the God of the personal God story.

Once you see that it’s all only a story, the need for a God or a story simply dissolves.

But even more extreme is the implication that you hold charity in contempt.

That wasn’t my intent. Charity isn’t necessarily narcissistic if the ones doing the work are not narcissistic.

    It’s about intent.

Most charity work is done through volunteering. If there is a payback, be it a need, desire, wish or a payback, then it’s not charity, but a job done for recognition.

The “charitable” one’s desire to help has its origin in the stress produced by what is considered less than desirable conditions.

It is its own unease that stimulates its actons….not the desire to help “others”.

    Tut tut, Anamika, tut tut!

First you imply that charity is an indicator of narcissism, when charity is in fact the willingness to share with others.  Granted, some people are “charitable” simply because it strokes their ego, but when a person gives without asking for acknowledgment, narcissism is not even implied.  You just insulted a significant majority of the American population.

Second, you can not assign physiological or psychological explanations for the practice of charity.  This is an absurd assertion, especially when you imply that all charity is motivated thusly.  You don’t know what motivates people.  If you want to assert a guilt complex for charitable given, you might want to examine your own conscious first.

Tut tut, Anamika!  Projection is something to be avoided.  At all costs.  Tut tut!

    Never blog when tired.

“Conscious” should be “conscience”, and “charitable given” should be “charitable giving”.
