Here’s something else you don’t know. From the age of 3 until age 15 or 16, Trayvon Martin lived NOT with Sybrina Fulton but with Tracy Martin, a known member of the Crips, and his then-wife Alicia Stanley-Martin, who was mentioned above. Alicia Stanley-Martin in that interview with Anderson Cooper said Trayvon spent 90% of his life in her home being raised with her two daughters from a previous relationship.
When Tracy Martin dumped Alicia for Brandy he sent Trayvon to live with Sybrina — a woman he hardly knew. The two didn’t get along at all. Sybrina kicked Trayvon out two days before he jumped Zimmerman.
Oddly, at that point Tracy was living with his sister because he’d dumped Alicia but hadn’t yet convinced Brandy to let him shack up with her and her son Chad. According to Trayvon’s text messages the plan was for him and Tracy to move in with Brandy soon but there was no definite date.
So Sybrina kicked Trayvon out knowing that Tracy had no home of his own, meaning Trayvon had no home to go to other than his aunt’s house where his father was staying.
Mother-of-the-year award material.
The part that gets me, however, is that Sybrina would let a known member of the Crips to raise her child from age three. I’m sorry but that’s too messed up for words.
You ought to check out Trayvon’s text messages, the released ones anyway. All evidence points to Tracy initiating Trayvon into the Crips, including purchasing illegal guns on the street. Yes, you read that correctly.
The text messages may be found at the website created and ran by Mark O’Mara. Look at the ten text message reports. Oh, and Tracy Martin’s Crip nickname is “Fruit.”
Is this true? The commenter references the “Third Supplemental Discovery” at George Zimmerman Legal Case, and says that all this information has previously been cited by The Last Refuge, a.k.a. The Conservative Treehouse. I find it difficult to believe that anyone — even the most biased liberal reporter at the New York Times — covering this case would look at that and say, “Irrelevant.”
As I’ve explained elsewhere, I didn’t pay much attention to this story when it broke, because in March/April 2012 I was covering the end of the GOP presidential primary campaign. Controversy about a shooting in Florida wasn’t really on my beat. So you’ll forgive me if I’m re-hashing anything everybody already knew. But . . . Trayvon’s father was a member of the Crips? Really? This is “irrelevant”?
Welcome to the New Normal, I guess.

Oh, gee, looks like one of the members of the police department was friendly with Tracy Martin and was pushing for charges against Zimmerman:
http://allergic2bull.blogspot.com/2013/07/another-piece-of-zimmerman-narrative.html
George never called 9-11. He called the NEN (Non-Emergency Numbers).
When he was screaming for help, several neighbors called 9-11.
People who state that George called 9-11 reveal how little they actually know about the “facts” of the events.

He was talking to the police dispatcher. Which number he called to get to the dispatcher is irrelevant.

WTF? I am reminded of that scene in “The Wedding Singer,” when Adam Sandler says something like, again, something that you should have told me about yesterday! I think that Zimmerman has potential civil rights claims against a host of actors.
Here’s a guy that knows absolutely nothing about the Zimmerman case, but likes to pretend that he does.
I have some issues with the statement as posted, as not all the facts and time line cited are accurate.
Suffice to say the tangled web of Fulton-Martin-Green relationships did not provide a stable environment to Trayvon at a time in his life when he most desperately needed stability.
Trayvon certainly did not have the benefit of the ephermal Huxtable middle class, college education stable home as outlined in the Julison narrative. Trayvon had been kicked out of Sybrina’s house as he became too much for her to manage, and was on a merri-go-round between various relatives, staying most recently with his Uncle Stephen and Aunt Miriam.
Reviewing his involvement with the school disciplinary processes and what the fall out from will tell you all you need to know.
Trayvon also had the benefit of being in a very politically connected family within the black grievance community, which was a big factor why this was pushed so hard early on.
Exactly. I used 911 as a shorthand for “he called the cops.”

Well, it actually is relevant given that even the prosecution tried to use the “ordered not to follow” lie as evidence of Zimmerman’s motivation

“Had Zimmerman drawn his weapon when Martin first confronted him, Martin might still be alive.”
This is something I hadn’t thought about, but is almost certainly true. If Martin had known Zimmerman was armed, it certainly would have made a difference.
I disagree. It’s a very relevant distinction in this case, because the call George was on had a different priority than a 9-11 call. It got upgraded later. But it is typical of the fast-and-loose people insist on playing with the actual facts in this case.
So he cunningly let himself be beat to a pulp so he would have an excuse to fire the shot he could legally have fired the moment Trayvon swung on him? Or was it simply that he actually had no intention of killing anyone that night?
“Are you following him?” the dispatcher asks.
“Yes,” Zimmerman responds.
“We don’t need you to do that,” the dispatcher says.
Police dispatcher tells Zimmerman to back off. Zimmerman does not. You may get a legal ruling there because of the sickness of Florida law, but morally Zimmerman deserves to rot in hell, and I hope he does.
He’s black and wearing a hoodie, so assuming he’s going to kill you is A OK. That’s pretty sick thinking.
Crazy. I just posted this trying to verify the commenter’s statements which are decidedly important, if true. If I recall correctly, it was the Crips gang that invented the “drive-by shooting.” So for Trayvon to have been raised in that kind of environment would certainly be relevant to understanding the events that led up to this.
Again, I understand that the murder trial hinged on Zimmerman’s claims of self-defense and, since he didn’t know anything about Trayvon, then Trayvon’s background was not really relevant to the trial.
However, it most definitely was relevant to the story — that is to say, the public’s understanding of who Trayvon Martin was. And deliberately omitting or minimizing this kind of background — at the same time they were hyping Trayvon as an innocent victim of racism — was just irresponsible and dishonest.
So why didn’t Zimmerman use those 45 seconds to run back to his car? If he gave a damn about this child’s life he would have, even if as an armed man up against a skinny teenager he was pooping his pants in fear.
The dispatcher did say that – it was a suggestion, not an order. He was also on his way back to his truck after attempting to get an address when Martin confronted him – after Martin left his father’s girlfriend’s house. Martin went back out seeking a confrontation with the “creepy ass cracker”.
Perhaps because during those 45 seconds Martin was on top of him, pinning him down and beating him?
Because Martin was on top of him beating his head into the ground for those 45 seconds.
Why didn’t Trayvon use those 45 seconds to go home, instead of lying in wait to accost Zimmerman? They BOTH made errors in judgment. The question at trial was did Zimmerman commit an illegal killing, not, should he have done something different? Really, I am amazed at people who are convinced that Zimmerman should have had ESP (Martin did not have a gun or a knife, and Zimmerman should have known that), and that he should have known Martin’s age (it was dark, cold, and raining).
Obviously English comprehension isn’t your strongest point. “We don’t need you to do that” has a vastly different meaning from “Stop following”. The first is a statement of fact, the second is an order.
Um, no, wrong again:
At 2:26, the dispatcher says, “Okay, we don’t need you to do that,” to which Zimmerman responds, “Okay.”
Zimmerman proceeds to give the dispatcher his name. Then he says, “He ran.”
Zimmerman can still be heard breathing into the phone until about 2:39, at which point the heavy breathing stops entirely, a mere 13 seconds after the dispatcher asked him to stop following. A very calm and collected Zimmerman then proceeds to give the dispatcher his own information, directions and a description of his location for another 1 minute and 33 seconds.

Attorney Crump attached a sealed copy of the settlement agreement to his pleadings with Judge Nelson. It’s not an “unsubstantiated rumor”. It was all thoroughly documented at CTH.
You are ignoring facts to support your self righteous position of moral superiority. In that neighborhood, as the evidence shows, there was a gang of thieves comprised of young, black men who dressed in black AND WORE HOODIES. They were referred to in the community as “Goons.” So, yes, in Sanford, Florida, walking around in a black hoodie would raise certain alarm bells. In Honolulu, Hawaii, not so much.
Thanks!
Wrong. Dispatcher asks if he is following, Zimmerman says “yes” dispatcher says “we don’t need you to do that” and Zimmerman says “OK” from that point on it is obvious he lost Martin. Stop trying to disinform by leaving out important information. From that point on there is no indication that he knows where Martin is and there ARE indications that Zimmerman is checking the other gate (metallic sounds consistent with a gate). Looks to me like he “followed” Martin for a total of about 5 seconds and then lost him.
And the dispatcher actually testified, under oath, that due to liability issues, he cannot order anyone to do anything. Good grief.
I really need to reply to this on a couple of levels. First off, it DOESN’T MATTER if he was a Junior Crip. The only question that matters was if he made George Zimmerman fear for his life, which is only possible if Zimmerman was a goddamn pussy.
Second, I’m not a liberal parrot. i don’t read Liberal Weekly and get all my opinions from there. That’s the kind of thing that falls to conservatives. Some opinions I have you’d probably agree with, some I wouldn’t, and some change based on how morons react to them.
A good example of the latter is background checks for firearms, which I cared nothing about until maniacs got all butthurt over them and started screaming about their second amendment rights. I grew up in Oklahoma, I’m not unfamiliar or uncomfortable with firearms, but crazy morons make me uncomfortable. Call it a personality quirk. Screaming about how King George is coming for your flintlocks makes you an idiot, not a patriot. what makes you a patriot is caring about your fellow citizens and wanting equal opportunity, and not lying to yourself about how “black man = president, therefore Trayvon’s killing = not racist.
We spent considerable time and effort deconstructing the Julison narrative, the fake Gutman tape and all the background documentation of the true story behind the family social dynamics. The media wasn’t interested because it reduced the marketability of the story, we were told.
The second part of this comment has nothing to do with the matter at hand, and is nothing more than a change the topic tactic. It’s like being a racist and saying, “but I have black friends!” As for the first part of your comment, oh, it’s relevant now. Crump has said he plans on suing Zimmerman, and discovery, as they say, is a b*tch. It will all come in because it is calculated to lead to the discovery of admissible evidence.
I know plenty about Trayvon’s Killing, I just think Florida law was put in place by immoral maniacs.
Cops were on their way while Zimmerman was talking to them. At that point it doesn’t matter. Cops arrived within 45 seconds of the shot being fired.
Classic self defense is immoral? Exactly how hard should he have let himself be beaten before he had a right to defend himself? Of course, having followed the trial, you are aware that he was a terrible fighter, with poor muscle tone?
They can bring a suit under federal law, and I know that using the word federal on a “conservative” website is like using the word “pedophile.”
How you people can call yourselves patriots while ignoring the duly elected government of the US is beyond me.
Then work to change the laws. Don’t make up facts, and expect everyone to emote with you.
The law is pretty much the same in every state. If someone is sitting on your chest bouncing your skull off the sidewalk, you can use deadly force. I am not aware of a state where that is not permissible. You might get a weapons charge if you don’t have a legal carry permit, but you won’t be charged for the killing of the attacker.
Why are you being such an idiot? What you would “wish” to be is not always the reality. The facts are consistent with Zimmerman’s story. The facts are completely INconsistent with the Martin apologists concocted version of things.
You know what? I am one of two people who deconstructed the Julison narrative at the first giddy-up and who has followed the trail of lies from Day 1. Tomorrow will be the first day in 16 mths when I won’t be living/eating/breathing the minutiae of this case. I came here to try and clear up some misunderstandings and myths, but I defer to your superior knowledge.
With that, I bid you good night.
