Can Anyone Verify These Disturbing Allegations About Trayvon’s Family?

A commenter on the earlier post wrote this:

Here’s something else you don’t know. From the age of 3 until age 15 or 16, Trayvon Martin lived NOT with Sybrina Fulton but with Tracy Martin, a known member of the Crips, and his then-wife Alicia Stanley-Martin, who was mentioned above. Alicia Stanley-Martin in that interview with Anderson Cooper said Trayvon spent 90% of his life in her home being raised with her two daughters from a previous relationship.
When Tracy Martin dumped Alicia for Brandy he sent Trayvon to live with Sybrina — a woman he hardly knew. The two didn’t get along at all. Sybrina kicked Trayvon out two days before he jumped Zimmerman.
Oddly, at that point Tracy was living with his sister because he’d dumped Alicia but hadn’t yet convinced Brandy to let him shack up with her and her son Chad. According to Trayvon’s text messages the plan was for him and Tracy to move in with Brandy soon but there was no definite date.
So Sybrina kicked Trayvon out knowing that Tracy had no home of his own, meaning Trayvon had no home to go to other than his aunt’s house where his father was staying.
Mother-of-the-year award material.
The part that gets me, however, is that Sybrina would let a known member of the Crips to raise her child from age three. I’m sorry but that’s too messed up for words.
You ought to check out Trayvon’s text messages, the released ones anyway. All evidence points to Tracy initiating Trayvon into the Crips, including purchasing illegal guns on the street. Yes, you read that correctly.
The text messages may be found at the website created and ran by Mark O’Mara. Look at the ten text message reports. Oh, and Tracy Martin’s Crip nickname is “Fruit.”

Is this true? The commenter references the “Third Supplemental Discovery” at George Zimmerman Legal Case, and says that all this information has previously been cited by The Last Refuge, a.k.a. The Conservative Treehouse. I find it difficult to believe that anyone — even the most biased liberal reporter at the New York Times — covering this case would look at that and say, “Irrelevant.”

As I’ve explained elsewhere, I didn’t pay much attention to this story when it broke, because in March/April 2012 I was covering the end of the GOP presidential primary campaign. Controversy about a shooting in Florida wasn’t really on my beat. So you’ll forgive me if I’m re-hashing anything everybody already knew. But . . . Trayvon’s father was a member of the Crips? Really? This is “irrelevant”?

Welcome to the New Normal, I guess.

  1. Martin was a thug, or at least a thug in training. As a legal matter, Martin WAS NOT THE VICTIM. That’s what “self defense” means. You’re sounding as stupid as the gun grabbers who listed the deceased Boston Bomber among “victims of gun violence.”

  2. This is why most of America thinks you people are sick and hatefilled. He was a boy. If he had a twin sister and I slept with her, the law would charge me with sleeping with a girl. If Trayvon tried to vote or join the Army, he’d be told he was still a boy. Defining “thug” as a black child in a hoodie is why people are so upset about this.

  3. He was a victim of gun violence. Never heard him described that way, but he was violently killed with a gun (and an SUV). Why does calling something what it is upset you so much?

  4. That tactic won’t work here. You are fully capable of going back and reading for yourself every single time you made erroneous factual assertions.

  5. When you have a spouse or child killed or raped by TM’s soul mates in thuggery, then you will have a right to speak. As one who has experienced this and saw the authorities sweep it under the rug because black on white crime is to be not only hidden, it is not to be investigated, period.

  6. He was below the age of consent in FL. He was not able to join the Army. He was still in high school. He was a child, and being a black male doesn’t make him an adult.

  7. The fullness of evidence was GZ being pummeled by TM and having his head repeatedly bashed on the concrete. TM caused his own death by misadventure. He bit off more than he could chew.

  8. You guys really need to learn to approach issues from more than one standpoint. I’m here to see the conservative viewpoint. You’re all conservatives, you read news on “Conservativetreehouse”. Next I’ll go to some liberal site and read their side, but you really can’t pretend to be outraged at someone else’s opinion because you get your warped facts from a different source than some other guy’s warped facts.

  9. Yes, someone would be dead – George Zimmerman. Trayvon was working on that when he got ventilated. BTW – idiot.

  10. I am no pussy. EVERY time I have been in a violent situation, from Iraq to a neighborhood tavern, I was scared and feared for my life. I used judicial force including deadly force. Until you have walked a mile in a man’s shoes, you cannot judge him. The jury did so and found GZ’s action not only justifiable but just.

  11. Define the difference between killing and murder. Is it only murder when it involves a minority or special interest group? Did I murder Iraqi’s who where assaulting me and I shot them?

  12. I have grandchildren who are of mixed race and grandchildren who are not mixed race. I love them all equally. Do you contend I must treat my mixed race grandchildren differently than those who are not mixed race? Perhaps I should leave my estate to only my mixed race grandchildren because those not of mixed race do not deserve it because of supposed sins of their (white) ancestors? What an asshat!

  13. I have found over the years that real men do not ever set out to kill anyone. The fact that they do means that they exhausted every other means to preserve their own lives (or the lives of innocents or their loved ones) and are not too afraid to exercise the final, fatal option.

  14. “Victim” is a word that carries moral weight. To describe Tamerlan Tsarnaev as a “victim” on the same moral plane as the children of Sandy Hook, which is what was done, takes the moral sensibility of a toad.
If you believe that everybody killed with a gun is, by virtue of being killed with a gun, morally equal, then you are a moral retard. You have done little to make a convincing case otherwise.

  15. If there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s idiots who don’t know how to use the caps lock and shift keys. Bye now.

  16. I realize you are highly upset that someone you don’t know got killed by someone else you don’t know in self-defense and a trial that means nothing to you didn’t go the way you wanted, but could you at least get a fact or 2 in your replies/statements?

  17. “Murderer” and “racist” are pretty awful names to be calling people too you know. Worse than “troll”.
