Project #Groundswell Memo, Number 17: What Conspiracy? Oh, That Conspiracy!

It’s important, when prominent conservatives coordinate messaging, that your project inspire raging paranoid fear on the Left. Everyone whose involvement is not already a matter of public record should be careful neither to confirm nor deny their participation:

“Believing they are losing the messaging war with progressives, a group of prominent conservatives in Washington — including the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and journalists from Breitbart News and the Washington Examiner — has been meeting privately since early this year to concoct talking points, coordinate messaging, and hatch plans for “a 30 front war seeking to fundamentally transform the nation,” according to documents obtained by Mother Jones.
Dubbed Groundswell, this coalition convenes weekly in the offices of Judicial Watch, the conservative legal watchdog group. During these hush-hush sessions and through a Google group, the members of Groundswell — including aides to congressional Republicans — cook up battle plans for their ongoing fights against the Obama administration, congressional Democrats, progressive outfits, and the Republican establishment and “clueless” GOP congressional leaders.

Certainly these “prominent conservatives in Washington” will disavow any claim that I ever attended their “hush-hush sessions” and, with no proof of such attendance, there can be no way to dispel the paranoid fantasies of deranged leftists that we’re all in on the plot.

Of course, we’re all in on it. Am I right?

No prominent conservative should ever deny that they’re part of this shadowy clandestine conspiracy, you see, because if you deny it, then obviously you aren’t really “prominent,” are you?

But a nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse, IYKWIMAITYD.

  1. I just realized that there are women-folk and people of color in our, oops, I mean THE group. Slip of the tongue there, sorry. The question is, are they REALLY women or “fake” women like Sarah Palin? Are they real African American or are they REALLY White African Americans?

  5. Questions, questions, so many questions! Are bloggers and trolls such as, for example, members of Team Kimberlin REALLY part of a diabolical psy-ops effort on the part of . . . THE KOCH BROTHERS?! Is this comment a joke, or am I secretly telling the truth? Who is a fellow traveler and who is a mole for the right? Was this “revelation” a strategic information leak to distract the left from what is really going on? Hmm?

  10. Well, if they are using a Google group, then the Democrats already know EVERYTHING they are up to. Google funnels their stuff directly to the White House and DNC. And then on to the NSA…

    What are they thinking? They need to go back to carrier pigeons and one-time-use cipher pads if they want to keep a secret in America…

    Well, in any case, the evidence that we don’t have would conclusively prove that the absence of evidence is evidence that the conspiracy has gone to extra-ordinary means to hide that non-existent evidence which further proves that powerful people of unlimited means are involved in the conspiracy…

  41. Has anybody read the articles written by Andrew Sullivan questioning whether Anthony Wiener is the father of Huma Abedin’s child? What about Sullivan’s articles divulging Abedin’s fake pregnancy?

    The fact that nobody has read these articles may indicate a conspiracy against women by brainless morons.

    What powerful forces are conspiring here?

  46. Every once in a while I feel like setting up a gmail account to which every day I send an encrypted file that’s always exactly 1 meg, whose unencrypted contents are either a random number generator output, or dissociated press run on that day’s AP feed output.
