Christians Branded ‘Hate Group’ for Opposing LGBT Agenda in Schools

Friday was the national “Day of Silence” promoted by GLSEN, the radical homosexual teachers organization founded in 1990 to promote the gay agenda in public schools. GLSEN has been controversial because the group’s director, Kevin Jennings, was implicated in the infamous 2000 “Fistgate” incident in Massachusetts. Yet it is now opposition to GLSEN that is considered controversial in Colorado:

Jefferson County school board member Julie Williams said late Friday that she was “sincerely sorry” and that she would remove a link on her personal Facebook page that she shared that encouraged families to keep their students home Friday and “away from perverse indoctrination” of the“homosexual-bisexual-transsexual agenda.”
“To be honest with you, I didn’t read the article,” Williams said. “I just saw it and thought I was sharing information with parents.”
The link, like most on Williams’ wall, was posted without comment. It directs Facebook users to a newsletter published by SaveCalifornia.com, but neither overtly endorses nor condemns the group and its message.
Friday is the national “Day of Silence.” It is organized by GLSEN, an organization that supports lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender students and teachers in schools. The aim of the protest is to raise awareness about LGBT bullying. Students who participate in the protest attend school but remain silent. Some put tape over their mouths.
SaveCalifornia.com describes itself as a “frontline pro-family leader standing strong for moral virtues for the common good.” But the Southern Poverty Law Center considers the organization a hate group, akin to the white supremacy political party American Freedom Party and Westboro Baptist Church.

That’s right: The SPLC now considers it “hate” for Christians to oppose gay activism aimed at school children. What do we know about SaveCalifornia.com?

Thanks to generous support from everyday people who care, our Campaign for Children and Families is:
– Leading for parental rights by empowering fathers and mothers
– Fighting for the protection of children’s innocence everywhere
– Challenging liberal lies with God’s timeless moral truths
– Boldly speaking out for your values in the culture war
– Teaching and activating pro-family citizens to stand for what’s right
Founded in 1999 by veteran pro-family leader Randy Thomasson, SaveCalifornia.com is dedicated to defending and representing the values of parents, grandparents and concerned citizens who want what’s best for this generation and future generations.
We’re an articulate voice in the media. We expose what’s wrong or right with our government. We urge lawmakers to respect and support family values. And we empower citizens to speak out for their values.

Does this 501(c)3 organization sound like a “hate group” to you? Well, what about their “Day of Silence” message? Thanks to California Catholic Daily, we have the full text of the group’s April 2 email:

If you have children in K-12 government schools, in California or another state, please keep them home and away from perverse indoctrination on Friday, April 19.
That’s the day of the so-called “Day of Silence,” where sexually confused students and teachers refuse to speak during the entire academic day. They’ll indoctrinate everybody else through handouts and chalkboard writings and videos and other propaganda tools. They’ll tell children to support and embrace the unnatural and unhealthy homosexual-bisexual-transsexual agenda and will say that anyone who’s against it is a “bigot.”
SaveCalifornia.com is leading the West Coast effort to urge parents to remove their children from government schools on Friday, April 19, the nationwide date of the “Day of Silence.”
Yet because the pro-homosexual-bisexual-transsexual “silence” could be permitted anytime April 15-19, SaveCalifornia.com is advising you to contact the school to ask if “silence” will be allowed on any date. No matter what, please keep your children home on April 19, to express your strong disapproval of the pro-perversity state school bureaucracy.
On Friday April 19, 2013 the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network is once again exploiting public schools to promote homosexuality and gender confusion as moral and normative through the political protest called the Day of Silence.
A coalition of pro-family groups is urging parents to keep their children home from school on the “Day of Silence,” if your school is allowing students to refuse to speak in class.

Is it “hate” to say that in 2015? Read it again. Do you suddenly feel inspired to go out and bully homosexuals?

The Speech Police are also the Thought Police. What we are witnessing is an effort to tell people what to think by controlling what they are allowed to say. Whether or not you agree with SaveCalifornia.com, is it incorrect to say that GLSEN’s agenda is “to promote homosexuality and gender confusion as moral and normative”? Are those who consider this to be immoral and abnormal not permitted to express their opposition? Is Romans 1:18-32 now to be forbidden as “hate” speech?

No responsible parent would send their children to American public schools, which have become a menace to our nation’s liberty.

“Truth is great and will prevail if left to herself . . . she is the proper and sufficient antagonist to error, and has nothing to fear from the conflict, unless by human interposition disarmed of her natural weapons, free argument and debate, errors ceasing to be dangerous when it is permitted freely to contradict them.”
— Thomas Jefferson, Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom, 1786

Public schools are Ignorance Factories, operated by corrupt government bureaucrats who cannot be trusted to teach children facts or useful skills. The K-12 Implosion approaches, as does the Apocalypse.

  1. Nope.

Let’s see you bash and attack them the way that you have Christians instead of spinning and making excuses first.

Of course you won’t, because you’re an Alinsky coward. After all, if you actually dared to criticize gay bigots like Signorile and Savage, they would bully you and tell you to kill yourself, and you can’t take that because you’re mentally unstable.

  2. Actually, gay hero and leader Harry Hay was quite vehement that it didn’t hurt children at all.

    http://www.nambla.org/hayonmanboylove.html

Indeed, the ILGA, which represents all gay and lesbian organizations globally, states quite clearly that it “supports the right of every individual, regardless of age, to explore and develop her or his sexuality”

    http://www.qrd.org/qrd/orgs/NAMBLA/nambla.replies.to.ilga.secretariat

And of course, Barack Obama and the Human Rights Campaign fully support and endorse pedophiles as their leaders and founders.

    http://www.advocate.com/crime/2014/11/23/watch-obama-friend-hrc-founder-terry-bean-arrested-sex-crimes-charges

So again, what exactly is your grounds for “morality”, when you make it clear that you and GLSEN fully endorse and support the exploitation of children?

  3. Do you at least see that you are being quite vicious toward me? Can you at least admit that, even if you think I’m a horrible gay bigot making the same vicious attacks against you, that you are doing the same to me?

I think I’ve been reasonable. I haven’t said that all Christians are pedophiles who want people to commit suicide (like you have claimed of gay people). I haven’t called you a bigot (like you have called me). I haven’t claimed you are personally responsible for every reprehensible things any Christian has ever done (like you have done to me).

I have tried to lay out my case, which I’m allowed to do. I have tried to be specific about speaking to the conservative Christians who are present, and those that think alike (without lumping all Christians in just by virtue of being Christian).

You came here to disagree. That’s fine. You jumped in with personal attacks, not real arguments. You came in name-calling instead of respecting me as a person with idea different from your own. You came in twisting the narrative to your own benefit, making me out to be a “screaming, crying, anti-Christian gay bigot,” rather than making a well-reasoned argument.

I would at least like you to admit, even if you believe I was the first one guilty of it and it’s nothing more than I deserve, that you are being vicious and angry toward me.

I already know you can’t and won’t do that, but I would like to hope nonetheless.

Since you have proven discussion with you is impossible and any real argument will be peppered with insults and rage, I’ll just say goodbye.

  4. Ah yes, the old Alinsky argument of trying to turn the fact that someone else has morals and a conscience against them.

Do you know why it fails, Andrew?

Because I’m aware that you have zero, zip, zilch, NO problem with namecalling and bullying.

    http://www.buzzfeed.com/rosiegray/village-voice-writer-goproud-are-like-jewish-naz#.so59kp3zy

And I’m aware you have zero, zip, zilch, NO problem with telling gay people to kill themselves.

    http://www.gaypatriot.net/2012/11/01/gay-left-wing-radio-host-tells-gay-romney-supporter-to-commit-suicide-says-he-should-not-be-allowed-to-vote/

And I’m also aware that you have zero, zip, zilch, NO problem with calling for the murder of people because of their political affiliation.

    http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2012/04/29/i-wish-republicans-were-all-fking-dead-dan-savages-history-of-bizarre-rhetoric-ties-to-the-obama-white-house/

That ruins the effect. You can sit here and finger wag all you want, but I and everyone else know that if I were a liberal gay bigot namecalling, telling people to kill themselves, and calling for death for all my political opponents, you would be clapping and cheering along.

And you’d be blaming Christians for making me say it to boot.

That’s what you and yours really don’t get. We’re aware that you have NO intention of ever following the rules you demand that we follow. Your statements are solely to manipulate us and force us to allow you to harm us. You are trying to turn our own morality against us and use it to destroy us. You will say or do anything to hurt others.

Classic Alinsky. And you defeat it by calling it out. You are a bully, Andrew, and bullies are cowards who go whining just like you did when people punch back.

  5. This is Isaiah 5:20 writ large, “woe unto you that call good evil and evil good, that put darkness for light and light for darkness, that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter”
As darkness overtakes the West, filthy degenerates like Kevin Jennings rise to prominence. Their season is a short one.

  6. “clearly God isn’t real”
    -signed James
“clearly James is a sock puppet for the devil”
    -signed God

  7. Dude, you blow so much smoke, you could cure a ham.

The fact is that the majority of people don’t give a fig what homosexuals do in the privacy of their bedrooms.

The problem is that gays have to bring their sexual proclivities out into the public sphere and denigrate anyone who doesn’t celebrate their deviant behavior.

What it boils down to is: Keep your head down, don’t make waves and no one will give a rat’s ass if you like it up the poop chute!

  8. The ones stealing the dignity from gays are the ones that celebrate an empty joyless lifestyle of depravity

  9. Being gay IS a choice, just like being an alcoholic is a choice, being a drug user is a choice, being a fornicator is a choice, being a liar is a choice, being a thief is a choice, and so on.

Some people may be born with a propensity towards these things, but that doesn’t mean that they have no choice. In fact, all of these things – which are examples of deviant behavior – can be successfully treated.

The problem is that radical gays enjoy their deviant behavior so much that they don’t want to stop. In an attempt to normalize their deviancy, they like to teach impressionable children from a young age that abnormal behavior is perfectly fine and acceptable. And by becoming overrepresented in various media, are trying to convince society at large that not only should their bad behavior be accepted, but that are somehow entitled to special treatment because of it.

You know who is bullied far more in schools than gays? Kids who carry Bibles. Where’s your day of silence for them?

In fact, where is your day of silence for these bullied groups?

    Fat kids
    Nerdy kids
Kids not in the dominent ethnic group
    Kids with unusual noses
    Kids with Obama ears
    Kids with unusual lips
    Introverted kids
    Clumsy kids
    Kids in band
    Kids who read a lot
    Kids who are abused
    Poor kids
    Kids who dress differently
    Kids who help the teacher
Kids who tell on other kids
Kids who have a sibling in these groups
    Kids in unusual religions
    Kids who bust the curve
    Kids who are noticably polite
    Vegetarian kids
    Kids with an outspoken parent
    New kids
    Kids who don’t defend themselves

Need I go on? Vastly more heterosexual kids are bullied than homosexual kids. So if you insist on an idiotic and time wasting day of silence, let’s see you spearhead one for ALL bullied kids, huh? Let’s see you also spearhead these activities:

    Heterosexual Pride Parade
    Christian Pride Parade
    White History Month
    European History Month
    Abstinance Week
    Free Speech Year
    Honesty in Media Month
    Right To Bear Arms Rally

Until you support the right of any group or individual to have an opposing viewpoint, then shut up.

  10. It’s not about money. They actually just don’t care enough about their kids to spend the time homeschooling.

I homeschooled and spent about $200 a year on curriculum, an amount handily made up for by the savings on school clothes. Plus I worked full time. By 10th grade, they were going to college on early admission, and in my state (FL), that was free.

One need only be motivated. Homeschooling is far, far easier – and more effective – than people might think.

  11. I have neither said nor implied any such thing.

Then to whom were you referring? And don’t even try to sidestep this.

True, some conservative Christians are saying that. And it is very damaging, because it is a lie. If there is a way to change from homosexual to heterosexual, please go ahead and lay out the process. I doubt that you can, because it does not exist.

So far the only one saying what constitutes a lie is you.

It is a well known, proven fact a person’s behavior (including sexual) can be modified.

However, if you were to state or imply that applies to all behaviors except homosexuality, I’d say that’s mighty damn convenient. Smells like bullshit to me.

Tell me, if a 13-year-old boy came to you, and said:

“I just don’t feel comfortable holding hands with a boy and kissing him. I don’t want to do this anymore.”

    How would you personally react?

    a) Pat him on the head and say, “It gets better.”

    b) Give him a hug and recommend a good counselor to help him get out of the lifestyle.

  12. Did you notice Andrew refuses to distance himself from Michelangelo, Dan and GLSEN?

    Speaks volumes.

  13. Or, as the trolls over at CNS News put it, “the imaginary spaghetti god in the sky.” When that “imaginary” God gets things time after time, it’s hard to take the imaginary part seriously.

  14. Lev_18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Lev_20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

The sad thing for you is that the Old Testament is authoritative as to what is sin. As for whether God is imaginary or not, that’s a personal problem on your part. God predicted people like yourself, and since God keeps getting it right time after time, the choice between you and the “imaginary” God is pretty much a lost cause for you.

Psa_14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, Romans 1:20-22

Yeah, that “imaginary” God had idiots like you pegged thousands of years ago.

  15. “If a gay kid is bullied in school and goes home to his conservative Christian mother who tells him he is a sinner and going to Hell, and she threatens to disown him and kick him out, withdrawing all support, that would be an example of ‘worse.’”

Ohhhh, nice made up scenario you pulled out of your…um…rectum.

    Here’s a more likely one:

“If a gay kid is bullied in school and goes home to his Muslim mother who tells his Muslim father, who then draws his scimitar and beheads him, that would be an example of ‘worse.'”

Why don’t we ever see examples like this? Why don’t we see gays going to Muslim bakers and caterers and florists and demanding that they participate in the gay wedding? Scared? I’ll bet. So gays choose Christians to persecute and bully because they know they can get away with it.

  16. “…if you were to state or imply that applies to all behaviors except homosexuality…”

I wouldn’t state or imply that because that’s absurd. We don’t know how to change anyone’s sexuality and we know that every method we have tried and continue to try will actively damage a person. “Homosexuality is the only thing we cannot change about a person” is a complete non sequitur. I can’t imagine how you could possibly think that follows from “we don’t know how to change sexualities.”

    “How would you personally react?”

I would ask him to talk to his parents, or if he felt he couldn’t, to find an adult he trusts. How would you parent someone else’s child for them?

If it were my own child, I would tell him that he has plenty of time to figure out his own identity. Not wanting to hold hands with a boy or kiss him is a pretty good sign he’s not even gay. If he was insistent that he knew he was gay but didn’t “feel comfortable” with being gay, I would try to find out why, exactly. Is it that online commenters are telling him he’s abnormal and needs to be cured? I think that’s a problem for other people to deal with, and not him. I would teach him to love himself, even when someone calls him ugly, or stupid, or, yes, even abnormal for being gay and in need of a cure for something he didn’t choose and can’t change.

I might find him a good counselor if I couldn’t help him myself, but not a counselor that would lie to him and tell him there’s a way for him to be heterosexual. I wouldn’t deceive and damage my child in that way. It would just be false hope, and he would be that much worse for failing to become heterosexual at the end of it, because now he’s not just thinking of himself as an abnormal gay person who needs a cure, but an abnormal gay person who can’t be cured. I wouldn’t do that to my child.

  17. Plus the hundreds of fulfilled prophecies that included names, times, locations and esoteric details. He’s pretty smart for someone who is “imaginary”. It’s almost like He’s…I don’t know…omniscient and omnipresent or something.

  18. My kids didn’t go to their local public school on Friday, or any day since January of 2014 when I saw clearly the damage being done to them (thanks, Common Core!) and got them the hell out of there. The Lil’ Resisters are much happier as homeschooled children, and they are safer as well. Some seriously messed up stuff is going on in elementary schools these days.

  19. Not going to happen. There will be awakening during the Tribulation period, but that’s not revival as such. Based on what I see in this country now, God’s judgment has already been set and is in motion. Rule of law is no more, and the governing consensus that existed since the 30s has evaporated as well. Lawlessness, and the accompanying chaos is increasing as evil consolidates and stands up.

All is happening as God prophesied in scripture.

  20. Funny how the SJWs actually work. You must be of the correct politics to call for non-censorship, but you must censor the people with the incorrect politics. It’s going to get interesting.

  21. Good for you! I was a homeschooler as well. What’s shocking is how fast your little ones are going to learn, which serves to illustrate how much they are held back in public (and even private) school. In classrooms, it’s all about the lowest common denominator.

  22. I ackshully typed it as a rhetorical question at first, then re-phrased it as a simple declaration.

Asking the deluded a question is usually not productive.

  23. That is not a made up scenario. It literally happens. And worse. Even today, in the US. I’m not sure what your Muslim example is supposed to prove… I guess you’re just proving my point that not all bullying is equal because the consequences can be much worse for some people—gay people in particular. Well, okay… you’ve made my point. I agree I’m right: Not all bullying is equal.

“Why don’t we ever see examples like this? Why don’t we see gays going to Muslim bakers and caterers and florists and demanding that they participate in the gay wedding?”

While there are examples of predatory Christians going to gay-friendly businesses to make disingenuous, insincere requests for customized service not normally offered in order to make a rhetorical point, there are NO cases (that I have ever heard of) where a gay person went to a Christian business for the purpose of forcing them to provide services they didn’t normally offer to anyone.

Yes, gay people go into businesses and ask to pay full price for the advertised services. Some gay people have been denied for the expressed reason that they are gay, and in places where law or legal precedent prohibit denying service based on sexual orientation. In those cases, where the owner of a public accommodation broke the law by denying service to a gay person for being gay, the judges ruled on the side of the gay plaintiffs.

We don’t see gay people going into Muslim-owned bakeries “demanding that they participate in the gay wedding” because gay people have never done such a thing to anyone, Muslim, Christian, or otherwise. They ask for the services that are offered, are denied on illegal grounds, and then they pursue justified legal action.

I wouldn’t personally be trying to make such a case, as I think the whole thing is ridiculous—why would you sue someone to make a cake for you?—but I think those that have actually decided to go through with it are justified. You shouldn’t be allowed to deny black people service at a lunch counter just because they’re black, and you shouldn’t be allowed to deny service to gay people just because they’re gay. We know this doesn’t work. We have numerous examples through history and across the globe. Separate-but-equal doesn’t work.

  24. I ask again: To whom were you referring when you said, “Actually, it’s the treating of gay people as diseased, inhuman monsters?” Who specifically is doing that?

We don’t know how to change anyone’s sexuality and we know that every method we have tried and continue to try will actively damage a person.

Sexual behavior, like any other behavior, can be changed and modified. Just because you say otherwise does not make it so. It only shows you to be completely full of shit.

If he was insistent that he knew he was gay but didn’t “feel comfortable” with being gay, I would try to find out why, exactly. Is it that online commenters are telling him he’s abnormal and needs to be cured? I think that’s a problem for other people to deal with, and not him.

So, in other words, you would tell that boy if he is unhappy, it is because others made him so.

I might find him a good counselor if I couldn’t help him myself, but not a counselor that would lie to him and tell him there’s a way for him to be heterosexual.

Translated: You have no interest in helping a teenage boy who has stated he does not want to be a homosexual anymore.

And you wonder why I have used the phrase, “selfish bastard?”

    You, sir, are Exhibit A.

  25. Liberal Around Town:

Breakfast: I notice that you covered the brown cinnamon on this pastry with white icing, hater.

School: The Federalist Papers? Weren’t those written by white guys trying to forcibly establish republican rule on Native American victims? You need to check your white privilege, professor.

Lunch: You refuse to serve me a BLT at your deli? You’ll be hearing from my ACLU lawyer, you Palestinian hating Zionist.

Work: Oh, there’s an error on the report I gave you? Are you singling me out, white patriarchal corporate shill?

Shopping: You think I look good in this shade of blue, do you? Why didn’t you show me the pink shirt, gay bashing homophobe?

Dinner: Oh, you think the pork tenderloin is good tonight? Funny that you didn’t recommend the glutan-free vegan tofu patty, animal hater. Do you serve snail darters here, too?

TV: Hey, it’s that new show about the transexual lesbian Supreme Court judge married to the gender queer former tattoo artist turned pre-school teacher, and their adopted mixed race sexually questioning kids! And it’s the one where the right wing evangelical extremist neighbor kidnaps the half-Eskimo, half-Puerto Rican son and tries to rape him, but then the son gets away and calls the police, who kill the guy with a flash-bang after it turns out that the neighbor is a former pastor who bullied the gay lead detective 30 years ago by falsely telling him that his homosexuality could be cured, but then the whole church turned out to be Satan worshippers who wanted to sacrifice him, but he got away in time. I heard that one is so realistic, it’s scary!

  26. “Sexual behavior, like any other behavior, can be changed and modified. Just because you say otherwise does not make it so. It only shows you to be completely full of shit.”

Sexual orientation, as evidenced by growing scientific data, cannot be changed from gay to straight. Just because you say otherwise does not make it so.

“you would tell that boy if he is unhappy, it is because others made him so.”

Yes, that is what I would tell him if I thought it was so. There is nothing about being gay that would make one intrinsically unhappy. The horrible things others might do or say to you because of being gay certainly could make you very unhappy. Are you arguing it is impossible for others to make you unhappy, or…?

“You have no interest in helping a teenage boy who has stated he does not want to be a homosexual anymore.”

I have no interest in telling him something is possible when it’s not. As I said, I would try to help him. Why is the only way to help him changing from gay to straight? Why is being both happy and gay so impossible?

  27. “That is not a made up scenario. It literally happens.”

    You’re literally full of crap.

“We don’t see gay people going into Muslim-owned bakeries “demanding that they participate in the gay wedding” because gay people have never done such a thing to anyone, Muslim, Christian, or otherwise. They ask for the services that are offered, are denied on illegal grounds, and then they pursue justified legal action.

Please link to, or provide proof of one single case where a gay person requested gay wedding services from a Muslim, for openers. Then show that the Muslim cheerfully agreed, or better yet, show that the gay couple reported the Muslim to the authorities and/or sued him. You can’t, because it never happens. Gays choose to bully Christians because they can get away with it. The same way as they choose a gay lifestyle, then deliberately antagonize peaceful people who have legitimate religious objections to participating in their deviant lifestyle choice.

Black people do not choose to be black. They are genetically black. Gays choose to be gay, they are not genetically gay. Stop trying to equate abnormal sexual practices with a legitimate civil rights movement.

Gay people could go to any of the other 99% of non-Christian or liberal Christian (that is, apostate) service providers in any town, and easily find someone talented who is happy to provide services. So we know this DOES work. But instead, they seek out Christians specifically for persecution, which is the hallmark of a true asshole.

You’d think that people who are so severely bullied, as you claim, would be more sensitive about not bullying others. But no. Because it’s not about bullying. It never was. It’s about silencing Christians.

  28. “That is not a made up scenario. It literally happens.”

    “You’re literally full of crap.”

I stopped reading. If you truly believe that no parent has ever rejected their gay child, you are either completely ignorant of reality and I won’t be the one to google it for you, OR you’re just feigning complete ignorance of reality to try to win rhetorical points. Either way, I don’t have the patience for something so childish. I will just suggest you not accuse other people of being “full of crap” until after you’ve at least made a brief effort to confirm the facts.
