New York Nazis? I Hate New York Nazis!

A famous line from The Blues Brothers came to mind when I read a story about the Perkowski family of Long Island:

When the Perkowski family moved into an abandoned home on a quiet Long Island street, their elderly neighbor’s son repeatedly warned them, “The cops are coming. The cops are coming.”
And at sunrise Thursday, a SWAT team finally came.
“I’m lying in bed and I hear ‘Go, go, go,” Larry Bilello told The Daily Beast. . . .
Bilello got a first-hand look at the takedown of a pair of Long Island brothers, when Suffolk County police executing a search warrant discovered an arsenal of assault rifles, bomb-making manuals, and neo-Nazi propaganda inside the rundown Mt. Sinai home.
The elder sibling, Edward Perkowski, faces 25 years in prison for charges that includes six counts of weapons and possession of a controlled substance and marijuana possession.
He was held on $200,000 bond.
His brother, Sean, was cuffed on a bench warrant for an unanswered public urination violation, authorities said. He was witnessed Friday returning to his sealed-off home to recover belongings after being fined $50.
Scores of cops folded in to surround the Perkowski’s hideout. And the display of force made Bilello beam. “I was happy,” the 52-year-old contractor said of the moment Edward Dale Jr. and Sean were led out of the home in bracelets. “I’ve been watching them for years.” . . .
At a press conference, police shared disturbing photographs taken from inside the neo-Nazi lair.
The brothers allegedly had their hands on a .40-caliber Glock, six assault rifles, four rifles, 25 high-capacity magazines, a shotgun and stun gun. Cops also found marijuana and hallucinogenic mushrooms, 14 knives, more than 3,000 rounds of ammunition, and $42,940 in cash.
Investigators also discovered a racist manifesto inside a leather-bound binder, along with other Nazi propaganda, CBS reported.
“Today’s search warrant might have prevented a deadly, violent incident like we recently saw in Orlando,” said Tim Sini, commissioner of the Suffolk County Police Department.

 

“To think that this,” Sini added, while gesturing to a photo of Perkowski loot that included a swastika flag and framed portrait of Hitler, “was in the town of Brookhaven was extremely disturbing.” . . .
A review of Edward Perkowski Jr.’s Facebook profile—under the pseudonym Dale Reinecke—reveals hate-filled and sexist rants in between snaps of his beloved golden retriever. (Perkowski goes by “Dale,” his middle name, or “DJ,” short for Dale Jr., neighbors told The Daily Beast.)
On Facebook he’s known as “Übermensch.” . . .
Meanwhile, he also appears to back Donald Trump. In May, Perkowski posted a photo of the GOP presidential contender with the words, “Make America White Again!” His father, Edward Perkowski Sr., responded emphatically with, “BUILD THE WALL.” . . .

Something weird about this: They’re Polish. Hitler hated the Poles. Hitler hated America. Why would Polish-Americans be Nazis?

Also, Hitler lost. Hitler was a loser. Nazis are losers. Don’t be a loser.

    Oh yeah. This article has been written by genuinely superior models of integrity and honour.

  3. Hitler didn’t hate the Poles. He had territorial and political reasons to invade Poland (for instance, the restoration of historically Prussian territory), but not specifically racial ones.

    The Katyn massacre flipped a lot of Poles to Germany’s side.

  10. I know a lot of fellas with 3,000 rounds of ammo. It’s nothing. I know a few who claim to have amassed 12,000 rounds. It’s not a big deal, I guess, until SWAT comes crashing into your residence.

  12. When I was working overseas, home on leave I’d check online for decent deals on bulk ammo. If I found, say, a thousand rounds of MILSURP 5.56 for around four hundred bucks I’d buy some.

    So a few years ago I was stacking another can beneath the stairs and wondered how much did I have… a quick count revealed over 14,000 rounds.

    Oh crap. I’m on some DHS watch list for sure.

  13. The father was the one who posted the message “BUILD THE WALL.” not the son. So this statement, “…Meanwhile, he also appears to back Donald Trump…” is a misleading statement.

  14. The lesson I’m taking away from this is that the way to prevent weapons from being used in mass murders is to take them from Muslims, and give them to neo-Nazis who won’t actually use them.

  18. Hitler considered Poles to be mostly slavs and thus worth only as slave labor. They were allowed to live provided they were assisting the Reich. So some Poles tried to appease the Germans given the alternative were the Russians.

  23. Nothing on the table appears illegal. One would think if the weapons violated federal law, i.e. were full auto, the authorities would have trumpeted that fact. Perhaps the elder owner was a convicted felon and thereby precluded from firearms ownership, but I didn’t see it mentioned. The key point is that the brother was released after paying fifty bucks on a public peeing charge. If there had been a ton of illegal stuff, he’d still be sitting in the klink.

Not only did the communists murder more people than Hitler – even while he was alive – but without Stalin there would have been no Hitler.   25. Apparently, they were squatting in the house and doing illegal business, operating from the house, but some of the transactions were out in the open. If even one of those transactions was observed and was possibly illegal, that’s probable cause, I think.

    I suppose I should mention that I live in Mount Sinai, in Suffolk County, New York, though I have never encountered the Perkowskis. And while I do not advocate the disenfranchisement of persons of other races, I enthusiastically endorse the concept of White Pride. Sauce for the Negro goose is sauce for the Caucasian gander, is it not?

    Ironically, the Soviets did the same thing in their half of conquered Poland.

    That doesn’t mean Poles were vicious anti-Semites and their government was quite fascist as well.

    Most Poles knew nothing of Katyn until the Germans invaded the east but few ethnic Poles were pro-German. Few were pro-Soviet either for that matter.
