With apologies to Springsteen, and admiration for his lyrical density, here is some love for Eric Holder:

Hippies Yippies Drippies and pinheads named Zippy with a Commie zampolit
In the dumps with these chumps as the environmentalist pumps his head all full of ‘it
With the border in disorder, due to Eric Holder, once again he’s Congress-bound
Where Louie Gohmert communicated butt-hurt as his integrity crashed to the ground
And for Trey Gowdy the sky was very cloudy due to prosecutorial discretion
Which for Eric was no fun, as his head gets so little sun, lodged in its position
And now young Scott with a bracelet for his 10-shot tried to excercise his rights
And some southpaw scofflaw shot him point-blank in the jaw–injustice that Holder delights

Eric was blinded by delight
He cut up like a schmuck, another goner on the right
Blinded by delight
He got down but he never got tight, he’ll get a pardon, alright

The bit about Scott is a hypothetical, built on the notion that these pissant laws only harming people who follow them, and strangely affecting the scofflaws not at all.

That is one long set of lyrics, though, and I wasn’t going to get much more than this done anytime soon.

Our country cannot be rid of this Holder cretin quickly enough. What a poster child for everything good people despise about political appointees.

HuffPo Women: Advice for Losers

Am I the only person who reads the Huffington Post’s “Women” category? Because I’ve got a feeling that if any feminists paid attention to it, they’d be outraged at this pink-collar ghetto of insipid journalistic dreck. Some recent HuffPo Women headlines:

8 Things America Gets Wrong About Sex — Barnard College alumna Amanda Duberman says Americans are not having sex “as freely, safely and enjoyably as other parts of the world.” So, apparently, folks in Bolivia, Belgium and Botswana have much better sex than us — or at least better sex than Barnard College girls have.
‘Love Hormone’ Oxytocin May Intensify Orgasms — Dyslexics beware! Oxytocin is not the same as Oxycontin, which won’t do anything for your orgasms, and will only “intensify” your lethargy, slurred speech and impaired coordination.
I Fell in Love With a Man Who Refused to Text Me — She loves the Luddite guy with a “cute Australian accent” she married 12 years ago. He probably never dated any Barnard College girls.
The Problem With ‘Waiting For Marriage’ — Mandy Velez was a virgin attending the University of Pittsburgh until she “attended a sex-positive event on campus” featuring “a fun lesbian speaker.” Somehow, this event convinced her to have sex with her boyfriend. They “eventually broke up,” but now she’s been living with another boyfriend for two years, which means . . .? I dunno. There’s no obvious point. Just one of those silly “Vagina! Empowerment!” pseudo-feminist sex columns that get published routinely at HuffPo Women. Velez calls herself “a straight, cisgendered, reasonably privileged woman” and also uses the magic feminist phrase “sexual autonomy.”
Shedding Light on the Myths About Women Who Have a Lot of Sex — Marrie Lobel is “irritated” by “persistent half-truths and complete fabrications hyped as fact. It’s time to expose reality by shattering outdated perceptions of women who have a lot of sex.” None of the “myths” Lobel attacks involve Barnard College girls or sex-positive events with “fun lesbian” speakers. However, she does use the magic feminist phrase “patriarchal dogma.”

Anyway, that gives you an idea of what Huffington Post editors think women want to read. If following their advice doesn’t lead you to happiness, you can always check out “Huffington Post Divorce.”

If @TaraDublinRocks Didn’t Exist, Would @AmPowerBlog Have to Invent Her?

My friend Donald Douglas may not be the most right-wing professor in California, but he’d certainly be in contention for the prize. In fact, I’m reasonably sure that a majority of university administrators in California would outlaw Professor Douglas’s American Power blog as a “hate crime,” if they could. (“Damn that First Amendment!”)

After Professor Douglas called out the “Tolerance Gestapo” — and some poor fool’s attempt to play ball with the the Gay Mafia shakedown — he found himself in a bizarre Twitter battle with somebody named Tara Dublin. She started out by claiming that Donald was trying to “bait” her, and next thing you know, she went off on a rant that is a classic example of the Last Word Syndrome typical of liberals who presume themselves to be our intellectual and moral superiors.

. @AmPowerBlog She wasn't just thinking, she PUBLISHED IT ONLINE FOR ALL TO SEE. Can you not make that distinction?

Barrett Brown Cops a Plea

September 2012: Barrett Brown vows to ‘destroy’ an FBI agent

More than a year and a half since the paranoid YouTube meltdown that got him arrested on charges of threatening an FBI agent, former Anonymous spokesman Barrett Brown has signed a plea bargain agreement with federal prosecutors on hacking charges:

Barrett Brown, whose case became a cause célèbre after he was charged with crimes related to the Stratfor hack, has agreed to a plea deal with prosecutors, according to court filings.
Prosecutors filed a motion this week in a Texas court to seal the plea agreement, which the court granted.
Brown’s attorney, Ahmed Ghappour, won’t discuss the details, due to a court-ordered gag, but another document filed by the government this week (.pdf) hints at the nature of the deal. . . .
Brown is scheduled to be re-arraigned, on the charges on the superceding document, on April 29 in Texas.
Brown is also facing charges related to threats he allegedly made against an FBI agent. It’s unclear if the plea agreement will cover that indictment as well. If it does, and the two cases are combined, Brown’s maximum statutory sentence would likely be five years.

The “threats he allegedly made”? Are you freaking kidding me? Go watch that video again. There is no “allegedly” about it.

Of course, as I said at the time, that video was also “13 minutes of absolute 100% bugfucking nuts.” The problem for a narcissist like Barrett is that his pose as an “investigative reporter” and a First Amendment martyr prevents him from admitting the fundamental truth: He was an amateur chasing a hero fantasy, as if it were all a video game or an action-adventure spy thriller movie.

He got in over his head, couldn’t cope with the stress, flipped out and became “The Kook Who Knew Too Much.”
Striking a heroic pose for his (equally deranged) anarchist admirers, however, Barrett can never admit this. All you have to do is read the Twitter reactions to the news of the plea deal to see this: The Radical Hero of the People’s Glorious Revolution cannot be seen as cooperating with the government. He must always Fight the Power, and some members of the anarchist kook mob simply can’t understand why a guy who was potentially facing 50 years in federal prison would cop a plea to reduced charges.

Barrett Brown did the smart thing by taking the plea deal, and so now maybe he’ll be out on the street before he’s 40.
