World’s Youngest Blogger: Doggone Right, This Blog Works!

There has been some recent wincing about over the registration of theothermccain.com. The vig was paid on time, I am informed. The Domain Name Servers (DNS) are apparently taking their own sweet time about propagating the update, so that theothermccain.com in your web browser becomes http://86.75.3.09 for your browser’s sake.
I’m a teenager, now at thirteen months, but some things are admittedly beyond my powers. I can recommend Huggies, for the terminally incontinent. Other than that, one must be patient; DNS moves in mysterious, slow, bureaucratic ways.
Democrat Transition Into Communist Party Continues Apace

Let me caveat this video by saying, as when Jay Leno does “Jay Walking”, you aren’t sure how representative this sample is. That is, if you go shoot an hour of video, you’re going to take the most out-to-lunch two minutes for your YouTube summary. Let us not be too quick to generalize from this steaming mess:
As a veteran, I understood that my oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States, and fall under the UCMJ, as a voluntary abridgment of my liberty in the name of defending that liberty, to which I’d eventually return, God willing. Everybody wants to be the egg yolk, but somebody’s got to be the shell. So you take your turn. Voluntarily.
While falling under the UCMJ, one understands on is, in fact, government property. You do ‘belong to the government’, and that can mean paying an ultimate price, or dropping this or that portion of one’s self. Personally, I never suffered much more than inconvenience. But for the sake of those who sacrificed way above my level, I’ve got to shout out that these Democrats are one sorry, jacked-up, unworthy lot. While supporting their Constitutional right to be a bunch of potted plants if they want to, these sad little proto-Commies and Marxists have got to be separated from all levers of power, lest their degenerate thinking spread.
That is all.

Durbin, trying to downplay the recently God-less Democrat platform:
“I’m just telling you, you are harping on a trifle,” Durbin said, adding that the Democratic Party platform was “the most unread document in the history of American politics.”
I’ll bet a soda that, unless Durbin is personally sponsoring legislation, he reads, roughly none of what passes through the Senate.

DNC Charlotte: Warming Up
Posted on | September 5, 2012 | 27 Comments
Arriving at the Democratic National Convention, Sept. 5, 2012
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina
Ali Akbar and I drove all night to get here, and the worst part of the drive was passing through the mountains on I-77 at 4 a.m. when the fog was so thick you couldn’t see 10 feet in front of the car. We pulled into a garage in downtown Charlotte at 7 a.m. and had to wait three hours until the media credentials office opened.
It is Ali’s impression that everything here at the DNC is smaller than at the RNC. He particularly noticed open space in the corridors of the arena that, at the Republican convention, would have been rented to vendors. His Tweets:
Less attendance, less media, less vendors, less food, smaller store, less security, less everything. #dnc2012
— Ali A. Akbar (@ali) September 5, 2012
#DNC2012 to #gop2012 : Radio row? Smaller. Media filing center? Smaller. Security? Smaller. Delegates on the floor at noon? None.
— Ali A. Akbar (@ali) September 5, 2012
Of course, Ali is not a Neutral Objective Journalist like me, so it’s possible that he is prejudiced, but indeed we seem to be a long way from the Hope-mania that pervaded Denver in 2008. As soon as we walked into the Time Warner Arena today, I scored my first interview:
Here’s the video of Joe Trippi:
A little more news: President Obama will do a conference call with the 40,000 or so ticket-holders who got stiffed because they moved his Thursday speech has been moved indoors. Also, the Democratic National Convention is one of the few places on the planet where anybody recognizes MSNBC anchors.

DNC Charlotte: Obama’s Thursday Apotheosis Gets Rained Out
Posted on | September 5, 2012 | 18 Comments
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina
While I was waiting to pick up my media credentials this morning, the official word came that Thursday’s final night of the convention will be moved indoor due to a severe weather forecast. CNN reports:
After days of bad weather, President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign and Democratic National Convention organizers have decided to change the venue of the president’s acceptance speech Thursday in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Instead of holding the final night at the Bank of America stadium as planned, the event will move indoors to the Time Warner Cable arena, where the first two days of the convention have taken place.
This means 21,000 seats inside the arena instead of 65,000 seats in the stadium and some Republicans on Twitter are suggesting the real reason for the move was that Democrats were afraid of having empty seats at the stadium. But even if the weather explanation is legit, it’s still kind of embarrassing for Obama, as Rocco Cavallo said on Twitter: “So the guy who slowed the rise of the oceans can’t stop the rain?”

The Campaign for American Values is way off here:
Obama totally values the votes of the alternative lifestyles crowd. Too bad those lifestyles don’t tend to beget more voters. But if the North American Man/Unicorn Love Association had some votes, then we can be sure Obama would get behind their efforts, which is his favorite position from which to lead.

There aren’t many more powerful examples of how jacked up the Democrat party is than Ted Kennedy.
Fact: Ted Kennedy left a woman to die in his car. #waronwomen #caring #fact
— Katie Pavlich (@KatiePavlich) September 5, 2012
My one very close Democrat friend said of Ted: “He spoke after me once at a conference years ago. What a nice man.” Now, this friend of mine is older, so out of respect for the elderly, I don’t go thrashing her with pesky facts. When mentioned something about Mary Jo Kopechne maybe not agreeing with the assertion that “Das Boot” Kennedy wasn’t a nice guy, (I think this was before his Commie flirtations were public) she gave me a blank stare. I guess MJK is an unperson on the Left.
Perhaps, as the Left’s inability to change the conversation gives way to an endless flood of facts, these United States can enjoy a renaissance of history, and purge itself of the Lefty crapflooding that has gone on for too long.
Update: more at American Glob.
Update II: Is Daily Pundit a Philip K. Dick head? “The biggest disadvantage the left has in relation to objectivists like me is that when they stop believing in reality, it doesn’t go away.”
