Senator Coburn’s ‘Debt Elimination Ordnance (DOE)’ Adventure

Now and then it’s healthy to step outside of Obama’s ‘Real World’. To breath some fresh air. To ponder existence beyond the orbit of the Obamas, Kimberlins, and #Occupy hippies. The Left’s controlling 1% makes for a long, strange, dangerous trip.
One of the handful of political leaders worth two hoots today is Senataor Tom Coburn. Watch this interview on what is THE issue of the election:
The Obama Administration is fundamentally incapable of facing the budget reality. While you can attempt a mellow pose, and say that the problems did not begin on Obama’s watch, you’d better be honest and admit that Obama has done frack-all to offer substantial leadership in any other direction.
Even the much-derided George W. Bush at least tried to do something, anything, to privatize Social Security. Sad. The post title, by the wasy, tries to play on ‘Debt Bomb’ and ‘Explosive Ordnance DisposalDemolition* (EOD)’.

Kimberlin v. Walker Hearing Scheduled: 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in Rockville, Maryland
Posted on | May 26, 2012 | 46 Comments
When terrorist Brett Kimberlin was convicted of multiple felonies in 1981,
he could have been sentenced to 230 years in federal prison.
Convicted terrorist Brett Kimberlin’s failed attempt to silence bloggers who tell the truth about Kimberlin’s criminality will be the subject of a court hearing Tuesday morning in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Kimberlin, who in 1981 was sentenced to 50 years in federal prison for his Indiana bombing spree and other crimes, has requested a “peace order” against Virginia attorney Aaron Walker, who says Kimberlin tried to “frame” him on an assault charge earlier this year. The final hearing on Kimberlin’s peace order request — which Walker has described as “frivolous” — is scheduled for Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in Montgomery County District Court (191 E. Jefferson St., Rockville, Md. 20850), according to the court’s official Web site.
Walker, who has blogged under the pseudonym “Aaron Worthing,” gained unexpected national fame as a result of Kimberlin’s ongoing campaign of harassment and intimidation against Walker and his fellow citizen-journalists, including Seth Allen, Breitbart.com contributor Mandy “Liberty Chick” Nagy, Los Angeles deputy district attorney Patrick “Patterico” Frey and even the award-winning conservative blogger known only by his online pseudonym Ace of Spades.
Kimberlin’s misguided effort to suppress the truth about his violent criminal past — including the 1978 terrorist bombing that brutally maimed Vietnam veteran Carl DeLong — backfired disastrously.
On Thursday, May 17, Walker published a 28,000-word account of his experience being targeted by Kimberlin, which soon caught the attention of leading figures in online New Media, including University of Tennessee law professor Glenn Reynolds, who writes the popular Instapundit blog, and bestselling author Michelle Malkin, who warned her readers, “Please remember: Kimberlin is a radical, violent, lying, dangerous felon.”
Reacting to breaking news of Kimberlin’s escalating pattern of harassment, blogger Lee Stranahan declared that Friday, May 25, would be “Everybody Blog Brett Kimberlin Day,” a project that produced scores of posts about the man whom popular podcaster Jimmie Bise Jr. has dubbed “Lying Felon Brett Kimberlin.” As a result of this New Media publicity, both Frey and Walker were interviewed Friday on Glenn Beck’s nationally syndicated radio program.
Kimberlin began his criminal career as an adolescent drug pusher, and was convicted of perjury before he graduated high school. While serving time in federal prison for his numerous crimes, he made headlines in 1988 by claiming (without any substantiation) to have sold marijuana to Dan Quayle. Kimberlin has been described as a “top-flight con man,” in a Publisher’s Weekly review of the 1996 book by award-winning journalist Mark Singer, Citizen K: The Deeply Weird American Journey of Brett Kimberlin. His sole known source of legal income now is two 501(c) tax-exempt non-profit organizations, includng one funded in part by the Barbara Streisand Foundation.
The National Bloggers Club has created KimberlinFiles.org to help call attention to the case and, as the non-profit goup’s president Ali Akbar says, to enable “supporters to make financial donations to a relief fund as a show of support.”

If Kimberlin’s outfits exist to harass and intimidate people, I would say such a charity is contrary to the concept of “charity.” Certainly the US tax code shouldn’t privilege such operations with tax-exempt status.
What is Kimberlin actually doing with this money?

The National Bloggers Club has been a valuable ally in supporting and defending bloggers targeted by harassment and intimidation. Today is “Everybody Blog Brett Kimberlin Day.” I join with National Bloggers Club president Ali Akbar in sincerely requesting that readers concerned about defending First Amendment rights online visit the club’s special site, KimberlinFiles.org, and please give generously. Fellow bloggers can help by including the image and link in their coverage of the Kimberlin case.

Obama’s ‘Real World’ Located In Whole Foods Parking Lot

The Obamaturism of the Day quotes the Denver Post:
President Barack Obama, who has spent almost all of his career and adult life in academia, law firms, and government, begins his criticism of Mitt Romney by declaring, “those of us who have spent time in the real world . . .”
Via Gerard, the location of Obama’s ‘real world’ has been pinpointed to a Whole Foods parking lot:

Something about the grocery store fans the flames of my low humor.
On one of the frozen aisles, my long-suffering wife peered at the signs above the doors and inquired “What are ‘novelties’?”
I replied in my The Californians voice that outs me for an unabashed idiot: “That’s when you shred a book and run hot water through it. You know: novel teas?”
I was rewarded with one of her pained expressions.
On the frozen vegetable aisle, I suddenly got very specific about where to park the cart. Click for a larger view and the reference:

Wake Up Meghan McCain, I Think I’ve Got Something To Say To You

We’ll let the Rod Stewart reference die at the title, but really, Meghan:
The moderate Republicans, like you and the notorious Brooks, are precisely the reason that Constitutional conservativism has taken so long to re-assert itself. You see, Maggie, you can’t make peace with what is wrong in the name of ‘moderation’. In medical terms, that’s like saying “Tumors are cells, too.”
While it is strictly true that cancers are made of cells, those cells are fundamentally wrong, and dangerous to survival.
So, if you lack the judgement to discern the wise from the foolish maybe you should consider silence, Maggie.

Stacy McCain, The World’s Most Interesting Blogger, is really where this blog gets all its journalistic heft. Which is where I come off with posts like the one last night. Dianna Deeley asks some interesting questions in the comments:
By the way — I finally realized how JTMP has been skating by. In their boiler plate “about us” section, in paragraph two, they write: “Nationally known entertainment attorney Jeff Cohen and other computer savvy activists”.
If the Jeff Cohen is the lawyer who signs as executive director, he’s not a nationally known entertainment lawyer.
There is, indeed, a very famous entertainment lawyer named Jeff Cohen, but it’s not the same guy. I’m wondering about this.
Oh, and has anyone — anyone at all — found a “famous musician” or “famous band” associated with this outfit? I haven’t.
Which leads one to The Naked Gun for an answer, as Frank Drebbin muses:
I’d known her for years. We used to go to all the police functions together. Ah, how I loved her, but she had her music. I think she had her music. She’d hang out with the Chicago Male Chorus and Symphony. I don’t recall her playing an instrument or being able to carry a tune. Yet she was on the road 300 days of the year. In fact, I bought her a harp for Christmas. She asked me what it was.
If you don’t have heft, go for ‘heh’, I always say, as of now.
