A Hate Crime in Tennessee

Posted on | June 5, 2019 | 2 Comments

Bailey Cantrell is a lesbian.

L-E-S-B-I-A-N

In case you don’t know what that word means, it is a synonym for “no.” If you are a guy trying to pick up girls, and a girl tells you she is a lesbian, that is the most emphatic “no” possible, as I have explained previously.

Common courtesy — the basis of civilized society — requires that men must accept romantic rejection with gracious equanimity. If a man attempts to engage a woman’s interest and she indicates by word or gesture that she does not reciprocate his feelings, he should apologize for his presumption and move along. She owes him no explanation, and it is rude for him to ask for an explanation or otherwise to make himself a nuisance by his continued unwanted presence. When a woman tells a man “no,” what she wants is for him to go away and leave her alone.

We need not justify such courtesy as a matter of chivalrous deference, when it can be better understood as a matter of male self-interest. A man who persists in a romantic pursuit that is hopeless is wasting his time and impairing his reputation. Such behavior — pestering a girl with unwanted attention — is evidence of poor judgment. Only a fool would need to be told “no” more than once. Guys, understand this: Women talk. When word gets around that you have made a nuisance of yourself by bothering a girl who has made clear her lack of interest, you will soon find that you are persona non grata with all her friends, completely ostracized.

If a man has any sense of his own personal dignity, of course, he will naturally feel insulted by her rejection. By approaching her and expressing his interest, he was acting on the belief that he was a worthy suitor, and that she would be grateful for his attention to her. By rejecting him, not only does she implicitly pronounce him unworthy — inferior, and therefore undesirable as a romantic companion — but she also exposes him as a fool, for he had so overestimated himself as to imagine she would welcome his attention. It takes tremendous psychological strength for a man to cope with this kind of insult, but without such mental toughness, it would be impossible for him ever to approach any woman, because there is always the risk of rejection. After some years of experience, I think most men reach the same resolve that I long ago made about such matters: She will never get a second chance to tell me “no.”

Sweetheart, I may be stupid, but I’m not too dumb to take a hint. If a woman told me “no” once, she could be sure I wouldn’t ask twice. It is the height of arrogance for a woman to expect a man to continue the pursuit after she’s turned him down once, as if she were the only woman in the world and he had no other options. Sometimes, I’d encounter a woman who thought she could play games like this, expecting me to keep chasing her after she said “no,” and such women seemed to have their feelings hurt when I refused to play along. If you want to play games, go play somewhere else, but you can’t play with me — that was my attitude back in the day, at any rate, but I digress . . .

Bailey Cantrell is a lesbian, as I say, and last year she had the misfortune of meeting a fool who didn’t know how to take “no” for an answer:

According to a report from Metro Nashville Police, a man approached Cantrell while she was on the phone and asked for her phone number. Cantrell rebuffed his advances twice. The third time, she told the man she would not be interested in exchanging numbers because she identifies as a lesbian.
That’s when the man launched himself onto the hood of her car, kicked in her windshield and proceeded to drag her to the ground.
“I said I’m gay, so I’m just not interested, and that triggered him,” Cantrell said. “I do believe it was a hate crime.”
Police responded to the gas station, located at 2804 West End Avenue, shortly after the incident occurred at 12:30 a.m. on July 28. Two officers took the report, but were not able to locate the subject.
Witnesses on the scene said the man is new to the Nashville area and stays at the Rescue Mission.

Bailey Cantrell’s story was featured on Inside Edition:

“This man approached me and was asking for my phone number and, you know, calling me all these names,” Cantrell told WTVF-TV. . . .
Surveillance video from the gas station captured the man jumping onto the hood of Cantrell’s car and stomping in her windshield.
Cantrell put her car into reverse, but the man followed, continuing to attack her vehicle.
She said she tried to drive away, but couldn’t see where she was driving because of the damage.
“The only thing I was thinking while that was going on was that he might have a weapon; he might have a knife, he might have a gun, I don’t know,” Cantrell said.
Eventually, she panicked and got out of her car.
“I only reversed to knock him over, make him fall, but that didn’t work so when I got out I was getting out to grab my phone and call 911,” she said. “Also there was glass in my eye from where all that glass had hit us and I felt like I just needed to get out of the car.”
That’s when the man focused his rage on her.
Surveillance footage showed the suspect rushing toward Cantrell, grabbing her and dragging her away from the car. Cantrell managed to free herself from his grasp and the police were eventually called.
Cantrell lived minutes away from the gas station, but has chosen to move back into her parents’ home in Hendersonville, where she feels safer.
Nashville Metro Police are reportedly investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made. Cantrell said she hopes he’s caught soon.
“Since he did this and got away with it, he doesn’t have any repercussions,” she said. “He’s going to think, ‘Oh, if this girl rejected me, I can just do this to her and it’s going to be totally fine. I didn’t get caught last time.'”

Now, as Ms. Cantrell has called this a “hate crime,” why didn’t Nashville police make the investigation a top priority? Watch the video and see if you can’t guess why they never caught the perp:

Probably not a Trump voter, if you catch my drift. Just another case of violence against women that feminists won’t notice, for some reason.

Sociology Professor Who Quoted ‘Red Pill’ Sites Forced Out of Canadian University

Posted on | June 5, 2019 | 2 Comments

In 2011, University of New Brunswick sociology professor Ricardo Duchesne published The Uniqueness of Western Civilization, a critique of multiculturalism. In 2017, Professor Duchesne published Faustian Man in a Multicultural Age:

At this pivotal moment in recent Western history, Richard Duchesne tackles what may be the most crucial question for people of European descent: ‘What makes us unique?’
Casting aside the dominant cultural Marxist narratives and dismissing the popular media attacks on concepts of ‘whiteness’, Duchesne draws on a range of historical examples, sources and philosophies to examine the origins of European man, his achievements, and the nature of the Faustian spirit that has driven his innovation and creativity.

Last month, Huffington Post published an article detailing how Professor Duchesne was “peddling white supremacist views while the university’s leadership is unable or unwilling to intervene.” As a result, Professor Duchesne has now been forced into retirement:

A University of New Brunswick professor accused of being a white supremacist and denounced by more than 100 colleagues for his views on immigration is taking early retirement, the university announced on Tuesday.
Prof. Ricardo Duchesne provided his notice “to focus on his own pursuits as an independent scholar,” vice-president Petra Hauf said in a statement.
“We respectfully accept his decision and thank him for his 24 years of service.” . . .
Duchesne, who teaches sociology at the Saint John campus, has appeared on far-right podcasts and YouTube channels. He has also written about what he calls the “relentless occupation of the West by hordes of Muslims and Africans,” and asserts that “only out of the coming chaos and violence will strong White men rise to resurrect the West.”
He says he’s looking forward to retiring at the end of the month and pursuing independent studies.
He plans to write about “why European civilization was far more creative than all the other civilizations combined” and “why all European-created nations are being forced to diversify themselves through mass immigration,” he said in an emailed statement.
He will also address “why the mainstream media never allows any critical thinking about the mandated ideology of diversity,” he said.

Googling some of the phrases attributed to Professor Duchesne, I found a March 2017 article, “There Is Nothing the Alt Right Can Do about the Effeminacy of White Men,” a historically informed analysis of cultural decadence. Professor Duchesne cites such sources as Plutarch, Polybius, Sallust and Livy on the similar trend of decadence in ancient Rome. Interestingly, Professor Duchesne also cites “red pill” sites Chateau Heartiste and Return of Kings. He does this to refute their claim that feminism is to blame for the decline of the West, concluding instead that this decline is a consequence of historical forces:

The expectation recently articulated in a Counter-Currents article that reading about Rome’s glories can teach current White men to regain their valor and heroism is pure wishful thinking. White men today will never build up their “resolve as great as that of the Romans” by reading about the Romans. The Romans built their character, before and during the time of Cato the Elder, by living at a point in the historical cycle when anarchy and savagery demanded hardness, by working extremely hard as farmers, by living in a very patriarchal culture that had harsh laws and expectations, and by undergoing intense military training and warfare. The Rome of Cato was a civilization at its peak; the West today is senile and childless, its families in decline, preoccupied with appearances, and overall too lazy and comfortable.
Decline is irreversible. The relentless occupation of the West by hordes of Muslims and Africans is an expression of White male decadence and effeminacy. Only out of the coming chaos and violence will strong White men rise to resurrect the West.

Well, these startling assertions would make an interesting topic of debate, if only Professor Duchesne’s critics were willing to debate him, but instead they have sought to silence him, to terminate his employment and ostracize him as persona non grata. How odd is it that disciples of Marx and Lenin — advocates of revolutionary socialism — are tolerated in academia, but a professor who makes reference to Plutarch and Livy is condemned as a Thought Criminal? The point is not whether one agrees with Professor Duchesne’s racial beliefs or his bleak assessment of future prospects, but instead whether these beliefs can be the subject of open discussion and debate. There is a totalitarian tendency in academia that now seeks to silence certain perspectives by labeling them “hate speech,” and it’s never the Marxist-Leninist revolutionaries who are silenced.

NYC Schools Face Lawsuit Charging Discrimination Against Whites

Posted on | June 5, 2019 | 1 Comment

The New York Post reports:

Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza’s crusade against “toxic” whiteness at the city Department of Education created an “Us vs. Them’’ culture that saw three longtime officials demoted in favor of less-qualified persons of color, a blockbuster $90 million lawsuit claims.
“If you draw a paycheck from DOE … get on board with my equity platform or leave,” Carranza thundered to employees assembled in the rotunda of the agency’s Lower Manhattan headquarters last June, according to the suit, filed [May 28] in state supreme court.
That “totalitarian threat” was just the most direct example of Carranza’s push to overhaul the leadership at the top and attitude throughout the DOE since he took the helm last year, claims the suit, levied against the department and Carranza by the trio of demoted white female executives.
“Under Carranza’s leadership, DOE has swiftly and irrevocably silenced, sidelined and punished plaintiffs and other Caucasian female DOE employees on the basis of their race, gender and unwillingness to accept their other colleagues’ hateful stereotypes about them,” wrote the group’s lawyer, Davida S. Perry, in the filing.
Plaintiff Lois Herrera, who started at the DOE in 1986 as a guidance counselor and worked her way up to lead its Office of Safety and Youth Development, claims in the suit that she saw a sea change almost immediately after Mayor Bill de Blasio appointed Carranza in April 2018.
A month later, LaShawn Robinson, then the executive director of the DOE’s Office of Equity and Access, purportedly told white attendees of a training seminar that they “had to take a step back and yield to colleagues of color” and “recognize that values of white culture are supremacist,” Herrera heard from a fellow administrator, according to the suit.
And that June, Carranza delivered his stay-or-go edict to address a flurry of recent staffing changes among department brass — including Robinson’s promotion to deputy chancellor of School Climate and Wellness.
At another scheduled event, in August, Herrera saw Robinson’s alleged attitude for herself.
“If you’ve been with the DOE for more than 20 years, you are responsible for the problem,” Robinson, who is black, allegedly said.
Robinson is not named as a defendant in the suit.
Despite being Harvard-educated and having been recognized as recently as 2017 for contributing to the “safest year on record” in city schools, Herrera was abruptly stripped of her title and demoted three levels “to essentially the bottom of the … group she formerly led,” the suit says.
Without so much as a formal search or interview process, Herrera was replaced by an African American man, Mark Rampersant, despite him being “demonstrably less qualified,” the suit claims. . . .

Two other plaintiffs in the lawsuit — Jaye Murray and Laura Feijoo — say they were similarly demoted in favor of black employees. Gosh, it’s almost as if “diversity” is code for Hating Whitey, or something.

‘Florida Woman’ Strikes Again

Posted on | June 4, 2019 | Comments Off on ‘Florida Woman’ Strikes Again

Everyone knows that when you see “Florida Man” in a headline, the story’s going to be crazy, but “Florida Woman” is not to be ignored:

Escambia County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) has arrested 25-year-old Keriah Renea Giomi for aggravated battery after a report says she attempted to stab a man in the stomach with a hunting style knife.
According to the report, ECSO was called out to 300 block of Wenger Avenue on Sunday regarding an armed disturbance.
When deputies arrived on the scene the report says, they found blood droplets on the concrete driveway and observed the front porch to be wet.
A deputy stated in the report, Giomi met him at the door and made a spontaneous statement that was redacted from the report. ECSO says Giomi continued to repeat the phrase and later placed in handcuffs.
The sheriff’s office says in the report, they were notified that a stabbing victim had checked into Sacred Heart Hospital and told them while he was in the bathroom on Wenger Avenue, he heard a woman screaming and went to see what the problem was.
The victim told ECSO when he left the bathroom, Giomi standing there naked holding a hunting style knife with a hook on the end and yelled, “Jehovah” and attempted to stab him in the stomach, says the report.
The victim stated in the report, he tried to grab the knife to stop her and received cuts on his hands.
ECSO says the man told him in the report, he pushed Giomi away in an attempt to run out of the door but she ran to the front door locked it and trapped him inside the house.
The arrest report says, the victim as he ran around the house to try to escape Giomi she cut him across the back multiple times.
The victim told deputies he managed to push Giomi into a room lock her in and was able to get out of the house, says the report.
The report revealed, witnesses stated in the report they saw a woman running around naked outside chasing a black male with no shirt on.

Escambia County is the Pensacola area, incidentally, and it’s perhaps unfair to blame Florida for this woman’s bizarre behavior, because the only Keriah Renae Giomi I can find online is from Lake Havasu City, Arizona. How she ended up in Florida, running around naked with a knife chasing a black man and yelling, “Jehovah,” I don’t know.

Man Who Threw Child Off Mall Balcony Sentenced to 19 Years in Prison

Posted on | June 4, 2019 | Comments Off on Man Who Threw Child Off Mall Balcony Sentenced to 19 Years in Prison

A frightening crime:

The man who threw a 5-year-old boy over the Mall of America’s third-floor balcony in April was given a 19-year prison sentence Monday.
Emmanuel Aranda, 24, pleaded guilty in May for attempted murder. The 40-foot fall left Landen with head trauma and broken bones.
Landen and his parents did not appear in court Monday, but offered statements read in court by prosecutor Cheri Townsend, NBC News reported.
“Your act was evil and selfish,” the boy’s father said in his statement. “You chose to listen to the worst parts of yourself that day. That is where your impact on us stops. You will take nothing more from us.”
Aranda told investigators he was “looking for somebody to kill” on April 12 and was looking to kill another person at the mall, according to The Associated Press. He chose Landen when the previous plan did not “work out.”
“God will judge you someday and I have peace with that,” his mother’s statement said, NBC reported.

By the way, some people have falsely claimed that Aranda is a Somali Muslim immigrant, but in fact he was born in Chicago. There is a large Somali population in Minneapolis, but he’s not part of it.

‘Incel’ Gets Five Years in Prison

Posted on | June 4, 2019 | Comments Off on ‘Incel’ Gets Five Years in Prison

In January 2018, Christopher Wayne Cleary of Denver posted a disturbing message to his Facebook page:

“All I wanted was a girlfriend, not 1000 not a bunch of hoes not money none of that. All I wanted was to be loved, yet no one cares about me I’m 27 years old and I’ve never had a girlfriend before and I’m still a virgin, this is why I’m planning on shooting up a public place soon and being the next mass shooter cause I’m ready to die and all the girls the turned me down is going to make it right by killing as many girls as I see.”

Cleary already had an extensive history of cyberstalking. His Facebook threat was reminiscent of “incel” (involuntary celibate) killer Elliot Rodger. Last month, Cleary was sentenced to prison:

A man who posted a Facebook message threatening to kill “as many girls as I see” in retaliation for years of romantic rejection was sentenced [May 23] to up to five years in prison.
Judge Christine Johnson’s decision to keep Christopher W. Cleary, 27, of Denver, behind bars in Utah went against a recommendation from Cleary’s attorney and prosecutors to sentence him to probation so he could be returned to Colorado to serve prison time there for probation violations.
Johnson said the incident clearly warranted prison time and that she didn’t feel comfortable relying on Colorado to keep Cleary locked up. She said Utah’s board of pardons can decide if Cleary should be transferred to Colorado.
Cleary’s Facebook threat came hours before women marched through many U.S. cities in January, stoking fears of another deadly rampage by a man blaming women for his problems. Cleary called himself a virgin who never had a girlfriend. When police tracked his cellphone and arrested him at a McDonald’s restaurant in Provo, Utah, Cleary said he had been upset and wasn’t thinking clearly.
Cleary spoke only briefly at the sentencing, saying quietly, “I’m just sorry for what happened.”
His actions fit a pattern of behavior for a troubled man with a history of terrorizing women he met over the internet. At least eight people since 2012 have contacted authorities to accuse Cleary of stalking or harassing them, according to an Associated Press review of police and court records.
His attorney, Dustin Parmley, said Cleary was ashamed of his actions and has long had issues controlling his impulses to say inappropriate things. He said Cleary had a troubled childhood and was diagnosed with mental health issues at age 10, though he didn’t elaborate. Parmley said Cleary bounced between group homes and mental health hospitals during his childhood. . . .
Among the complaints against Cleary in Colorado were reports that he threatened to bomb a grocery store in 2013 after an employee refused to cash his check; that he threatened to slit the throat of a Denver city employee after his car was towed; and that he threatened a mass shooting at a mental health facility during a 2016 phone call.
Cleary was on probation for a marijuana conviction when, in 2016, he was charged with stalking two 18-year-old women he met online. He was on probation and in mental health court for the stalking cases when he was charged in 2017 with stalking and harassing a third woman who was Cleary’s caseworker. Last year, judges in Jefferson County, Colorado, sentenced him to probation in all three stalking cases.
Cleary also has a warrant for his arrest in Denver, where a 17-year-old told police in 2015 that he sent her a string of threatening text messages, including: “I own multiple guns I can have u dead in a second.”

Cleary never actually committed any acts of violence, but apparently enjoyed frightening people with threats of violence. There was a time in our history where someone like Cleary would have either been permanently locked up in a lunatic asylum or, perhaps, shot dead by the father of one of the girls he threatened. The fact that Colorado was willing to turn him loose on probation . . . Oh, crap. He’s like Deb Frisch!
