    Politico and other sources are reporting that the Washington Post newspaper division saw their 1st quarter earnings drop a whopping 85%, down to under $5 million, against a 2012 which wasn’t exactly a good year for them. Unless this trend is swiftly and dramatically reversed (HEH), the portent is for massive layoffs.

    I’ve been thinking about the poor WaPo “journolists,” scratching for crumbs in the DC snow and slush – some of them the sole support of their mothers. I’ve been thinking I might do something for them this Christmas. On second thought . . .
