Antifa Trash Fire Roundup

Bad causes attract bad people, and the so-called “anti-fascist” mobs in cities like Portland are not composed of our Best and Brightest. There is abundant evidence that their average IQ is below room temperature. Gateway Pundit calls attention to a typical example of Portland’s Antifa mob, Edward Thomas Schinzing, 32, who is now facing federal arson charges “accused of setting and spreading fire May 29 inside the Justice Center at the start of two months of protests in Portland.” How did the feds apprehend this criminal genius? Well, they were helped by the fact that (a) Schinzing was shirtless during the “mostly peaceful” protest, and (b) he has his rather distinctive surname tattooed on his back:

Investigators say Schinzing was among several hundred people who gathered at North Portland’s Peninsula Park earlier in the evening on May 29 and then walked to the Justice Center.
Photo and video images captured Schinzing at the front of the crowd, crossing the Burnside Bridge, about 10:35 pm., his shirt off and his name vivid on his upper back, according to court records.
By 10:59 p.m., several people broke windows near the northwest corner of the Justice Center and climbed inside. . . .

(Note that the “mostly peaceful” phase of the protest lasted barely 20 minutes before the mob started smashing windows.)

Three civilian county employees were working in the Multnomah County Sheriff’s corrections records office at the time and “fled for safety as the windows were broken,” according to Cynthia M. Chang, a fire investigator with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
About 30 people entered the office through the broken windows, spray-painting it, damaging computer equipment and furniture and starting fires, according to Chang. . . .
Schinzing’s name across his back is clearly seen in photos of him shirtless at the protest and inside the Justice Center office that was damaged, her affidavit says. . . .
He was on probation for a domestic violence assault at the time the fire was set in the Justice Center.
Schinzing was sentenced April 16 to five years of probation after he was found guilty of third-degree assault and attempted fourth-degree assault, admitting he had punched his girlfriend in the face with a closed fist in front of her 8-year-old son in a Northeast Portland apartment in late February.
According to Multnomah County court records, Schinzing reported being homeless for the past two years. He has seven prior misdemeanor and two felony convictions.

Oh, these idealistic youth are the conscience of the nation! Punch your girlfriend in the face, then smash windows and set fires in the name of “social justice,” and you’ll be a hero to Nancy Pelosi, who denounces federal law enforcement agents as “storm troopers.” And of course, feminists like Jessica Valenti won’t say a word about this creep’s violence against women (an issue feminists only pretend to care about as a way to attack Republicans). Valenti and other feminists like her are mere partisans, dishonest about the “progressive” coalition to which they swear allegiance. The only way Democrats win elections is by appealing to the worst instincts of the worst people in the country.

Consider, for example, 23-year-old Samuel Young of Aurora, Colorado, who decided he needed to bring a pistol to a “peaceful protest” that was obstructing an interstate highway:

An arrest affidavit obtained by FOX31 and Channel 2 on Tuesday includes witness accounts recalling the shooting that left two people injured during a protest in Aurora on Saturday.
Samuel Young, 23, faces four counts of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of first-degree assault. He’s accused of shooting at a Jeep Wrangler that drove through the protest after demonstrators blocked both directions of Interstate 225 near East Sixth Avenue.
Two protesters were wounded in the shooting: 21-year-old Joseph Quinton Sagrillo and 25-year-old Creyton Loud.
Sagrillo was shot in the leg; Loud was shot near his temple. Both survived.
The Jeep’s two occupants were not injured. According to the affidavit, the Jeep was driven by 27-year-old Kyle Faulkison. Its passenger was 27-year-old Gregory Goodenough.
The affidavit includes a number of witness accounts.
One man who was standing near Sagrillo told detectives that news helicopter footage shows both men in the median of I-225 about 50 to 100 yards north of the main group of protesters.
Another witness — Raichle Farrelly — told investigators she was standing next to the man who shot at the Jeep, and that he used an “old-school Wild West gun,” the affidavit states.
“The blood drained from his face, he turned totally pale,” Farrelly said in an interview with FOX31 and Channel 2. “His eyes got really big. He started to tremble.”
She says she helped him unload the rest of his gun, fearing he could hurt himself or someone else.
“So I said to the young man, who I now know is Samuel Young, ‘I think you need to get rid of your bullets,’” Farrelly says. “‘Can you empty your chamber and just get rid of your bullets over the edge here,?’ ‘Cause I was worried he would now, realizing what he had done, either inflict harm on himself, or someone would take the gun off him and shoot him.” . . .
According to the affidavit, a third witness said the suspect was not in danger of being struck by the Jeep.

Here’s a question: What were these people in Aurora so riled up about that they considered it necessary to block traffic on I-225? In case you didn’t realize it, such “protests” are illegal. Federal law prohibits pedestrians from interstate highways. So this Antifa punk with the “old-school Wild West gun” tried to murder the occupants of the Jeep, who were doing what the highway was made for — i.e., high-speed vehicular traffic — but because of his poor marksmanship, Young only succeeded in wounding two of his fellow “peaceful protesters.”

But what were they protesting about? Turns out, it was the death of Elijah McClain, who died when an EMT accidentally gave him an overdose of ketamine after McClain got into what was described as an “altercation” with Aurora police. The circumstances that led to McClain’s death involve a seemingly over-aggressive police response to a 911 call, but this didn’t happen last week or last month. No, it happened in August 2019, nearly a year ago. The county district attorney said it was doubtful that any criminal prosecution was possible, under the circumstances, but the outcry over McClain’s death was such that Aurora officials ordered an independent investigation. While waiting for that investigation to conclude, why was it necessary to hold a “protest,” illegally obstructing traffic on an interstate highway? The answer is, it was not necessary at all. The vile scum of Antifa were just looking for an excuse to riot.

The Usual Suspects

There is no problem in the world that cannot be blamed on racism, and therefore we know how to solve all the world’s problems:

  1. Tear down statues of Christopher Columbus;
  2. Loot the local Walgreen’s during a “mostly peaceful” protest;
  3. Hold a CNN Town Hall with Greta Thunberg;
    and
  4. Vote Democrat.

Perhaps you might criticize this solution as illogical, but that’s because you’re a racist and logic is a tool of white supremacy.

Anyone expecting facts and logic from the #BlackLivesMatter movement is doomed to be disappointed. What the movement is about — other than making the organizers rich from corporate contributions — is promoting a political narrative to help elect Democrats by appealing to raw emotion. On the one hand, affluent bien-pensant white women are able to assauge their sense of personal guilt by masochistic rituals of self-denunciation. On the other hand, black people are encouraged to vent their frustration, resentment and rage through “mostly peaceful” protests and (of course) voting for Democrats. As I’ve said before, these “protests” are actually Joe Biden campaign rallies, because outside the context of election-year politics, we wouldn’t be having all these suburban punk anarchists running wild in Portland and Seattle (which are, by the way, two of the whitest major cities in the United States). Because the media are so dedicated to the partisan project of preventing President Trump’s re-election, the public is being bombarded with atrocity propaganda, intended to “energize” Democrat voters by portraying black people as victims of “systemic racism.” If we do not push back against this propaganda, our silence implies that we agree with the Democratic Party’s message: White people are evil. Police are racist murderers.

And thus there is a need to talk about overlooked facts:

Racism did not kill Breonna Taylor. She did not die from prejudice or discrimination. Her death was not caused by Confederate monuments or statues of Christopher Columbus, nor could her death have been prevented by social-media hashtags. If you don’t know who Breonna Taylor was, the short version of the story is that the 26-year-old was shot to death March 13 by police in Louisville, Kentucky, during a drug raid. The long version of the story is rather more complicated, but Taylor’s death has been reduced to a slogan (“Justice for Breonna”) by the #BlackLivesMatter (BLM) protest movement.
Like so many other police shootings seized upon by this movement, BLM activists are interested in promoting a political narrative that ignores specific details of Taylor’s death. Most of the movement’s supporters have probably never looked past the slogan-sized condensed version of the story — an unarmed black woman killed in her own home by white cops — to ask whether racism had anything to do with her death. Certainly the national media have not sought to determine whether the facts of this cause célèbre support the BLM movement’s mythology of “systemic racism” as the one-size-fits-all explanation for police shootings. Fear of being targeted by “cancel culture” plays a role in silencing all criticism of the movement, and therefore no one (no, not even Tucker Carlson) has questioned the BLM narrative of Breonna Taylor’s death. . . .

Arson, Shooting in ‘Mostly Peaceful’ Protests Against Police Brutality

Don’t call them “riots.” They’re Joe Biden campaign rallies:

A Black Lives Matter protester has been shot dead during a march in Austin, as a youth detention center and police precinct have been torched in Seattle and demonstrators gather again in Portland amid stand-offs with Donald Trump’s federal agents.
One protester was shot and killed when gunshots were fired during a protest in downtown Austin, Texas, Saturday night.
Shocking footage showed people marching along the street holding banners demanding an end to police brutality and racism when loud shots rang out.
This comes as protests gathered steam across several US cities Saturday, two months on from the Memorial Day ‘murder’ of George Floyd and in a show of solidarity for Portland where demonstrators and federal agents have clashed ever since Trump sent federal troops in.
The president has so far deployed federal agents to Portland, Seattle and Chicago.
The streets of Seattle turned violent Saturday when protesters set fire to a youth detention center and a police precinct, leading cops to declare protests had turned into ‘riots’ that afternoon.
Portland geared up for its 59th night of unrest Saturday with swathes of demonstrators marching from the federal building to the Portland Marriott where they believe federal officers are staying, in the wake of a violent night Friday that ended with at least one person stabbed. . . .
Austin police confirmed that an adult male was shot and killed near an intersection in the city’s downtown around 9:52 p.m. during the protest Saturday night.
Social media footage shows demonstrators marching through the streets shouting ‘black lives’ and waving banners reading ‘BLM’ before several shots are fired. . . .
Initial reports indicate the victim was carrying a rifle and approached the suspect’s vehicle, who then opened fire fatally shooting the man. . . .
In Seattle, violence flared long before nightfall when people went on a rampage, torching buildings in the city, while a Wall of Moms and Vets took to the streets vowing to protect demonstrators from law enforcement.
Around 2,000 people descended on the city as protests that had tempered following the dismantling of the CHOP zone earlier this month inflamed once more, after Trump said he was sending in federal troops as part of his sweeping law and order takeover in cities across the nation.
Seattle police declared the protest in Seattle a ‘riot’ just before 4:30 p.m. local time Saturday afternoon as people vandalized the East Police Precinct, set a small fire and an explosive was let off inside the building. . . .
The construction site of the new King County Juvenile Detention Facility was also engulfed in flames after a group marched on the building demanding it be closed before setting fire to the area.
Firefighters fought to tackle the raging flames billowing out of the construction area at 12th Avenue and Jefferson Street.

 

This collection of rancid human debris is the Democratic Party “base.” These are Joe Biden’s core constituents. The question is, why would anyone want to surrender America to such vile scum?




 

Crazy People Are Dangerous

Sydney Parham went viral this week when a video showed her (allegedly, I hasten to add) pouring gasoline into a Jeep and setting it on fire. Oops!

 

She done blowed herself up, as folks would say down home, but perhaps I had better not invoke folks down home, because some of them have been known to use language that might be considered offensive. Meanwhile, police have arrested the (alleged) arsonist:

Authorities arrested a 26-year-old Fraser woman this week on an arson charge related to a Harrison Township vehicle fire, according to a statement from the Macomb County Sheriff Department.
Sydney Parham was arraigned Friday on a charge of third-degree arson after video allegedly showed her dumping gasoline inside a black Jeep at San Remo Apartments and setting it on fire.
The blaze occurred Wednesday in the parking lot of the apartment complex.
Deputies were dispatched about 8 a.m. Wednesday to the San Remo Villa Apartments near Union Lake Road on reports of a vehicle fire and found a black Jeep fully engulfed, investigators said in a statement. Township firefighters responded and extinguished the blaze.
In a video taken at the scene and posted to YouTube, a person is shown dumping gasoline in the back of the Jeep prior to leaning forward to throw a lit match into the vehicle. The explosion threw the individual back into a nearby vehicle.
Witnesses at the scene told responding firefighters and deputies that the woman in the video was Parham and that she knew the owner of the vehicle, according to the Macomb County Sheriff Department.
Parham was pulled over in Roseville and taken into custody, where she was treated for minor cuts and burns.
Parham was given a $20,000 personal recognizance bond prior to her next hearing Aug. 5.

Many believed the Jeep that Ms. Parham allegedly torched must have belonged to her ex-boyfriend, but the vehicle’s owner denied it:

Avery Stevenson . . . didn’t want to go on camera, but he did say he knows the suspect.
He said she was not his girlfriend. He said he’s not sure what the motive could be.

Is he telling the truth? Like, a woman decides to torch your car and you have no idea what her motive is? Or is it rather the case you don’t want anyone to know you were messing around with a crazy woman?

On the other hand, maybe she’s a complete lunatic, who became obsessed with Avery and burned up his car because he didn’t reciprocate her feelings. Either way, Crazy People Are Dangerous.




 

Chicago Mayor Solves City’s Crime Problem by Removing Columbus Statues

Chicago has been plagued by riots, vandalism, looting and arson — to say nothing of homicide, which has increased more than 30 percent, with 434 people killed so far this year — but Mayor Lori Lightfoot has solved the problem by eliminating the statues that were causing it:

Chicago’s two Christopher Columbus statues were taken down early Friday morning, nearly one week after protests erupted in the city.
Crews were seen taking down the statues in Grant Park and the city’s Little Italy neighborhood during the overnight hours. By 6 a.m., only the pedestal remained in Grant Park, where the statue stood since 1933 after being dedicated during Chicago’s second World Fair.
“The city of Chicago — at Mayor Lightfoot’s direction — has temporarily removed the Christopher Columbus statues in Grant Park and Arrigo Park until further notice,” the mayor’s office said in a statement. “This action was taken after consultation with various stakeholders. It comes in response to demonstrations that became unsafe for both protesters and police, as well as efforts by individuals to independently pull the Grant Park statue down in an extremely dangerous manner. This step is about an effort to protect public safety and to preserve a safe space for an inclusive and democratic public dialogue about our city’s symbols. In addition, our public safety resources must be concentrated where they are most needed throughout the city, and particularly in our South and West Side communities.”
Reports first surfaced on social media Thursday indicating the statue at Grant Park could be taken down as soon as late Thursday night.
Protesters across the county have called for the removal of statues of Columbus, saying that the Italian explorer is responsible for the genocide and exploitation of native peoples in the Americas.
Still, some Italian-Americans in Chicago said they did not support the move.
“Columbus is a symbol of hope who we’ve celebrated for years and maybe we all forgot why we celebrated Christopher Columbus,” Sergio Giangrande, president of the Joint Civic Committee of Italian American said. “To take someone who’s a symbol of hope for us? We are not OK with that.”
Giangrande added, however, that the group understands the safety concerns but hoped for a compromise.
“I can guarantee you that Italian Americans are not happy about this,” he said.
Mayor Lori Lightfoot said Monday that she would announce a process in which the city will take inventory of the various monuments, paintings “and other things that memorialize” Chicago’s past and history.
“In time, our team will determine there are no monuments to African Americans in this city,” Lightfoot said. “There are no monuments to women. There are no monuments that reflect the contributions of people in the city of Chicago who contributed to the greatness of this city.” . . .
Last Friday, chaos erupted as clashes broke out during a protest calling for the Grant Park statue’s removal. There, 49 Chicago police officers and four demonstrators were injured. More than a dozen individuals were also arrested. . . .
In June, the Grant Park statue of Christopher Columbus was spray-painted with the letters “BLM” for Black Lives Matter. The following day, vandals hit a statue of President George Washington in the city’s Washington Park, spray painting the words “slave owner” and “God Bless Amerikkka” on the base and placing a white hood over the monument in reference to the Ku Klux Klan.
The Columbus statues in both Grant Park and the city’s Little Italy neighborhood were also vandalized last month.
Statues of Columbus have also been toppled or vandalized in cities such as Miami; Richmond, Virginia; St. Paul, Minnesota; and Boston, where one was decapitated.

So you see, these statues have caused all the problems in Chicago, which will immediately become a utopian paradise, now that those provocative racist symbols have been banished from public view.

This innovative approach to crime has inspired me to propose my own bold reform. What if we could eliminate racism by banishing from view anything that caused people to believe negative racist stereotypes or to mutter racial epithets? I can think of one such cause of racism.

 

Get this woman’s face off TV, and racism will automatically be reduced.




 

Crazy People Are Dangerous

Shane Green, 58, lives in Portland, Oregon, which for the past eight weeks has been the scene of Antifa/#BlackLivesMatter riots. Do the radical protesters actually want to help black people? Or are they just a bunch of anarchist scum who hate cops? Shane Green needed help, and by “help” of course I mean, confinement in a psychiatric ward:

A man is facing a slew of charges after police say he attacked two people in a Portland laundromat with a handsaw — and it was caught on video.
On the afternoon of July 17, several 911 callers reported a man with a handsaw was assaulting people and breaking car windshields near the 2700 block of NE Weidler Street, the Portland Police Bureau said.
Two of the victims were inside a laundromat. Security video shows the suspect march straight up to a woman inside and swing the saw at her head.

 

Officers found the suspect near the 2100 block of NE Weidler Street. Police said they told him to stop and drop the saw but he refused and told officers he was going to make them shoot him.
The man walked into the middle of traffic, then started moving toward the officers while yelling at them while still holding the saw, police said. After several warnings, police used a less-lethal munition and the man dropped the saw. Officers started talking to him to try and calm him down but several bystanders interrupted by screaming and taunting the officers, the PPB said. This only made the suspect more upset, according to police.
Officers said they kept talking calmly and listening to the man and he was eventually taken safely into custody.
The suspect — 58-year-old Shane Vordelmicha Green — was charged with three counts of second-degree assault, six counts of unlawful use of a weapon, first-degree attempted assault, strangulation, four counts of menacing, two counts of second-degree attempted assault, harassment, second-degree disorderly conduct, interfering with a peace officer and four counts of reckless endangering. He was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center.

When we understand this as attempted suicide-by-cop, we see the connection between Shane Green’s violence and the violence of the lunatics engaged in “mostly peaceful” protests in Portland.

Antifa is not a political movement, it’s a mental-health crisis.

And, as you know, Crazy People Are Dangerous.

Just a Coincidence, I’m Sure

Last week, U.S. District Judge Esther Salas was assigned to preside over a lawsuit brought by Deutsche Bank investors claiming financial fraud related to the bank’s dealings with Jeffrey Epstein. Four days later — Sunday evening — a man dressed as a FedEx delivery man showed up at Salas’s home in New Jersey and shot her son and husband. Her son was killed, but her husband survived. Because I’m not a paranoid conspiracy theorist, I’m going to assume that this crime is merely a random coincidence, absolutely unconnected to Hillary Clinton.

Death of a White Man

Probably no one will mourn the passing of Sean Ruis, who flipped out last week in a Michigan convenience store when the clerk refused him service because he wasn’t wearing a mask. Ruis reacted by stabbing a 77-year-old man, and was subsequently gunned down by a sheriff’s deputy:

For her part, Gov. Whitmer said she was “incredibly sad” about the incident. “I cannot ever pretend that I understand someone who would become murderous over wearing a piece of cloth on your face,” Whitmer told reporters Wednesday. “But what I can say is that violence is never the solution.”
Because the knife-wielding dead man was white, nobody rioted after he was shot to death. No statues were toppled, no stores were looted, no sports teams were renamed. White people getting shot by cops doesn’t interest the national media or arouse the outrage of “social justice” activists, so there were no angry protest mobs chanting outside Gov. Whitmer’s office, blaming her for Sean Ruis’s death.
Crime is only of interest to the national media when such stories can be used to advance the political agenda of the Democratic Party. . . .
