‘Equality,’ Florida-Style: Lesbian Arrested for Attacking Her Husband With Bleach

Lakeisha Regina LeGrand was arrested earlier this month.

History offers many examples of intellectuals dreaming up innovative schemes for “progress” which, as inspiring as they may seem to their advocates in the academic elite, don’t work out so well when applied in real life with real people. Just invoke the magic word “equality” and rational discussion ceases, because how can anyone be against “equality”? We are expected to ignore the fact that never in human history has anything like “equality” actually existed, and attempts to impose “equality” through government force have resulted in disaster in the former Soviet Union, Communist China, Cambodia, and elsewhere.

What did Ivy League professors imagine “equality” would mean in terms of marriage and families? Or what did Justice Anthony Kennedy (Harvard Law, Class of 1961) think would be the consequences of Obergefell?

Let’s take a look at how “equality” is working out in Orlando:

A 31-year-old Orlando woman was arrested Sunday on suspicion of splashing bleach in her husband’s face after they got into an argument about a woman whom she recently began dating.
Lakeisha Regina LeGrand was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery/permanent disfigurement.
According to an Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrest affidavit, LeGrand and her husband have been married for eight years, have four children together and live together in the same home.
Deputies said the couple got into an argument Saturday because LeGrand’s husband does not like the woman whom LeGrand is dating and he does not want the woman around their children. He said LeGrand “recently discovered that she is gay,” and it has caused stress on their relationship. . . .

(She “discovered” she’s gay, like it’s a scientific breakthrough.)

LeGrand’s husband asked her to keep the woman away from their children, and LeGrand took the children and left the home, deputies said. Her husband said he also left and returned home Sunday.
He said the children told him that they were left alone with LeGrand’s girlfriend, and he confronted her when she returned home, the affidavit said. She told him to “go back to where he came from” and he began to yell and throw boxes, deputies said.
LeGrand asked one of her children to get some bleach, but the child refused, so LeGrand grabbed a bottle from a closet, unscrewed the lid and splashed it on her husband’s face, according to the affidavit.

“Equality!” “Progress!” “Social justice!” These fine phrases are so inspiring to the intellectual elite, but what do they mean in real life for ordinary people who didn’t go to Harvard Law School?

#IDW2017 Immigrant Raped Girl From Age 11, Got Her Pregnant at 15, Police Say

The Daily Mail reports:

A man faces deportation after being arrested on charges of raping his girlfriend’s daughter starting when she was 11 and impregnating her at 15.Henry Jose Garcia, 40, of Cocoa Beach, Florida, was charged Monday with two counts of sexual battery by custodian on a victim under and above 12, according to the Brevard County Sheriff.Immigration authorities had been contacted and his status pending. He had been in the country on a work visa for 10 years, according to WKMG . His country of origin is unclear.
He reportedly worked at the Resort on Cocoa Beach hotel and was attempting to get asylum in the US, according to MyNews13.
The victim recently turned 18, and said after discussing it with family members, she said she realized the abuse was wrong and went to police.
She told them the suspect would wait until her mother went to work and, starting when she was 11, force her to have sex twice a week under threat of violence to her family. He would also allegedly buy her things and give her cash to keep quiet.
The abuse ended when she became pregnant at 15 with his child, she alleged. She showed police text messages where he admitted being the father, reported WKMG.

Feminists haven’t mentioned this crime, for some reason . . .

#IDW2017 More Violence Against Women That Feminists Will Probably Ignore

The Miami Herald reports:

For nearly two weeks her boyfriend held her in their apartment against her will, drugged her, raped her, beat her and at one point used pliers to rip her acrylic nails off, she told Miami Beach police.
On Sunday, Evan Xavier Little, 25, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment and sexual battery. He also had a warrant for a probation violation, police said.
The woman showed up at Miami Beach police headquarters Sunday to report the incident, which happened at the end of January, according to the report. She told police she “feared for her safety,” the officer wrote.
She said Little was mad at her because she had left a purse he bought her in an Uber vehicle, and began hitting her with a suitcase and his fists, according to the report.
“The defendant then used pliers and pulled some of her acrylic nails off her,” the officer wrote in the report, adding that she said he struck her legs with a golf club. “The victim attempted to leave the apartment, but the defendant grabbed her by her hair and started to choke her with his hands.”
She also said Little “held a knife to her neck’’ and threatened to harm her if she attempted to leave the apartment, the report said.
For the next two weeks, according to the report, he forced her to stay, drugged her and “had non consensual sex with her.”

Because today is International Women’s Day (#IWD2017 on Twitter), I have been highlighting incidents of violence against women, including Oliver Funes-Machado, who decapitated his own mother, and Neel Salil Mehta, who brutally attacked a teenage girl with a machete. However, feminists have not mentioned these crimes, for some reason.

It’s almost as if there’s a pattern here, or something . . .

FORT LAUDERDALE MASSACRE; UPDATE: 5 Dead, 8 Injured — Police

UPDATE 6:30 p.m. ET: More details on the Fort Lauderdale shooter:

The gunman — wearing a Star Wars T-shirt — was taken into custody and has since been identified as 26-year-old Esteban Santiago.
Santiago flew into the airport from Anchorage, Alaska (with a layover in Minneapolis, St. Paul) on Delta flight 2182, and checked a gun for the flight. . . .
NBC News reports that Santiago had a history of mental problems, but had reportedly been getting treatment.
His most recent address was in Naples, but he lived in Anchorage from 2014 to 2016, where his girlfriend and child continue to live. He is also from New Jersey.
Santiago was a combat engineer in the Army National Guard, and served one year in Iraq before being honorably discharged last year, the Army Criminal Investigation Division confirmed. . . .
Sources also told ABC News that Santiago was contacted by the FBI after an employer back in Alaska raised concerns about certain things he had said. After that meeting, Santiago started getting treatment for his mental health issues. . . .
Court records in that state show he had a minor criminal record for traffic violations. He was also evicted by his landlord for failing to pay rent in February 2015.
Santiago was charged with fourth-degree assault and damage of property in January 2016, stemming from a domestic violence incident.

This is a mentally ill man with a history of petty crime and social problems — a kook, a misfit. There appears to be no political motive, which would mean that everyone who speculated otherwise was wrong.

UPDATE 7:30 p.m.: Did I speak too soon? CBS News:

According to the Associated Press, the Pentagon said he went AWOL several times as a specialist during a stint with the Alaska National Guard and was demoted to private first class. He was given a general discharge, which is different from an honorable discharge.
In November 2016, he walked into an FBI office in Anchorage claiming that he was being forced to fight for ISIS and was sent to a psychiatric hospital, officials revealed.
In 2011 or 2012, he was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations for child porn. Three weapons and a computer were seized, but there was not enough evidence to prosecute, according to law enforcement sources.

OK, (a) even if this guy was just a delusional kook, his delusion involved an Islamic terrorist organization, (b) that this guy had been on the FBI radar for two months, yet was still able to board a flight to Florida, is disturbing, and (c) the child pornography investigation five years ago suggests this guy had red flags all over him. How does someone’s problems bring them to the attention of three separate federal departments — Defense, Justice and Homeland Security — yet they’re still boarding a flight with firearms in their luggage? At least nine people are reported dead after a gunman went on a rampage:

A gunman is in custody after a deadly shooting at the Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport.
Sources tell NBC Miami that nine people have been shot and three people have died. . . .
An airport spokesman said that the center of the incident was in the baggage claim area of Terminal 2.
Former White House press secretary to President George W. Bush, Ari Fleischer, was at the airport at the time and tweeted about the chaos Friday afternoon.
Just after 1pm, he wrote that ‘shots have been fired. Everyone is running’.

UPDATE 3 p.m. ET: According to Fox News, Florida Sen. Bill Nelson says the shooter’s name is Esteban Santiago, whose name was reportedly found on his military ID. No motive is yet known. The official death toll is five. There are now reports of a possible second gunman.

UPDATE 3:20 p.m. ET: NBC Miami affiliate WTVJ-TV reports:

A gunman opened fire at Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood International Airport Friday afternoon, killing at least five people and injuring eight others before being taken into custody, authorities said. More than an hour later, people were seen running across the tarmac and sheltering behind cars while police had their guns drawn.
Law enforcement sources identified the shooter as Esteban Santiago, a 26-year-old man born in New Jersey. Multiple sources told NBC News that he had a military ID on him. . . .
The Broward Sheriff’s Office said they received a call about the shooting around 12:55 p.m. Live video more than an hour after the attack showed people running across the tarmac between terminals while others took cover behind cars – while officials search for another possible shooter. Police were also seen running into a parking garage with guns drawn.
Police officers responded less than a minute after the shooting began, [witness Mark] Lea said. Once the shooter was out of bullets, “he was gunned down by police,” he said. . . .

It is important not to jump to conclusions about the motive for such incidents before we have actual facts we can rely on. When news is breaking, a “wait-and-see” posture is always best, no matter what our suspicions may be. One obvious element of suspicion in this shooting is that we know President-elect Donald Trump has a home in South Florida, and it is therefore possible that this gunman’s act had some political motive. However, we do not have any facts yet to support that speculation, and I mention this one possible theory simply to illustrate how easy it is to make such speculations. If the gunman had been named “Mohamad” or “Abdul,” obviously other theories would be a fair subject of speculation, whereas if his name was “Bubba Wayne” or “Billy Joe,” our guesses might lean another way. Yet we must wait for the facts before we can start claiming to know the why of this incident.

UPDATE 3:48 p.m. ET: Multiple news outlets are quoting a Facebook post by Broward County Commissioner Chip La Marca about the incident:

The shooter was a passenger on a Canadian flight with a checked gun. He claimed his bag and took the gun from baggage and went into the bathroom to load it. Came out shooting people in baggage claim. There were 13 total shot, 5 dead, 8 transported to hospital.

If this account is accurate, then it would appear that the gunman’s attack was premeditated, although evidence that the shooting was planned does not tell us anything about the shooter’s motive.

Did She Have a Tumblr Blog?

Nickole Dykema was arrested Tuesday.

Florida is the Weird News Capital of the World, but sometimes the news from Florida is so weird it seems too weird even for Florida:

A Florida woman has been arrested after police discovered over 3,500 weapons in her mobile home.
Deputies arrived at the Brooksville residence of Nickole Dykema to arrest the woman on outstanding warrants Tuesday night, and found the 47-year-old staring at them through a broken window and cursing while ignoring their requests to come outside.
When one of the officers finally entered her trailer to bring her in, she took a machete and went after the man — missing him by inches.

This led to a five-hour standoff that ended when an officer finally tasered Dykema, leading to the truly weird part of the story:

Police say Nickole Dykema is on probation and shouldn’t have had any weapons in her home. But, investigators discovered more than 3,500 knives, swords and blades, a satanic-like shrine, fake bloody body parts, and that’s just what evidence techs have tallied so far.
It all came from a home on Eldorado Avenue in Brooksville, where neighbors say Dykema has been terrorizing them for months. . . .
“I was just petrified all the time,” says neighbor Dorothy Clagg.
Clagg says living next to Dykema isn’t her idea of a peaceful retirement, it’s been torture. “She had a habit of banging on the inside of her house all the time on the walls, and screaming and hollering,” says Clagg.
Dykema is caught on Paula Deford’s home security cameras slashing screens and slicing up the air conditioner unit. “She cut all the screens on these windows in one incident,” says Deford.
That’s what brought investigators to Dykema’s house on Tuesday night to arrest her. She shouldn’t have a single weapon. She’s on probation after being caught shoplifting at Dollar Tree in December, stealing chef knives with a sword down her pants and dagger around her waist. . . .
But Tuesday night’s discovery even stuns investigators: thousands of weapons hanging from the walls, ceiling fans, and stabbed into a mannequin head.

The Daily Mail reports:

Photos of the home shows that the rooms are all unlit and contained hundreds of of blade weapons along with fake heads, fake severed limbs and fake skeletons – almost all with knives stuck in them.
One room also had a picture of a pentagram hanging on the wall with miniature axes sticking out of it and a skeleton dangling in the center.
There is also a satan-like shrine surrounded by skulls, though the pentagrams above that area do not have a goat inside them as is the copyrighted logo of the Church of Satan.

This raises obvious questions: How did she get so crazy? Was she a Women’s Studies major? A feminist blogger? Did she own cats? Perhaps most importantly, is she registered to vote as a Democrat?

Muslim Youth Leader Ahmed Saleem Arrested in Florida Child Sex Sting

He was “dedicated to empowering Muslim youths,” IYKWIMAITYD:

Detectives from Polk and Lake counties on Tuesday announced the arrest of 101 people in a sex predator sting in which detectives posed as children between the ages of 12 and 14.
Judd said detectives used a vacant house in Clermont and chat forums to pose as a child, a parent or an individual looking for prostitution.
Those arrested included theme park workers at Universal Orlando and SeaWorld, and a Disney World cast member who quit before he was arrested, deputies said.
Also arrested was Ahmed Saleem, founder of Saleem Academy, an organization dedicated to empowering Muslim youths, detectives said. The academy’s website and Facebook page were not available Wednesday.
Saleem traveled to the Clermont home in car that had a license plate that read: “Invest in Children,” according to detectives. . . .
Authorities said he operation was named “Operation: L and P” — for Lake and Polk counties — and lasted from May 18 to 28. . . .
“If we didn’t get you in this operation, you better be sure we will in the next one,” Polk Sheriff Grady Judd said. “We are after you. Leave our children alone.”

Sooper Mexican reports that the Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR) quickly scrubbed Saleem’s profile, which included this:

Ahmad Saleem is an active community organizer in Orlando, Florida. He is responsible for spreading CAIR Florida’s impact and presence in the Orlando community . . . He is the son of Pakistani immigrants. . . .
He graduated with a degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida (UCF). During his time there, he led many initiatives via his leadership of the Muslim Student Association at UCF. . . .
Apart from being the former MSA president at UCF, he was the MSA National service director, a board member of Muslim Youth Project USA . . .
Mr. Saleem is the founder of Saleem Academy, an organization dedicated to empowering Muslim youth globally. Under it, he has conducted his “Inspired by the Quran” and “Muslim Youth Survival Guide” weekend seminars. . . .

“Inspired by the Quran”? Yeah, tell it to the judge, Ahmed.

Millionaire Transsexual Bankrolls PAC for Son’s Florida Democrat Campaign

Martine Rothblatt (left); Gabriel Rothblatt (right).

Next time Democrats claim that Republicans are “the party of the rich” or complain about millionaires using PACs to funnel big money into politics, just mention this weird story about the Democrat candidate for Congress in Florida’s 8th District:

A congressional candidate in Florida is getting a boost from a super political action committee with one donor, which happens to be his dad.
But there’s a twist.
Gabriel Rothblatt’s father, Martine, used to be Martin Rothblatt before undergoing gender reassignment surgery. She — Martine — founded Sirius Satellite Radio and a Maryland-based biotech company that paid her $38 million in compensation last year, according to Forbes. . . .
Records show Martine Rothblatt contributed $225,000 to SpacePAC last quarter. Additionally, SpacePAC’s treasurer is a former federal regulatory lawyer and now influential attorney associated with United Therapeutics Corp., Martine Rothblatt’s pharmaceutical company.
Federal election laws prohibit super PACs from coordinating with candidates, but the close familial ties in this case could easily complicate those restrictions — and already may have. . . .
Rothblatt is endorsed by the Teamsters, a powerful labor union, and the National Organization for Women, a feminist group. The district includes Brevard and Indian River counties, and parts of Orange County.

Now, I’m going to get to Martine Rothblatt’s genuinely weird biography in a minute, but first, here’s a report from local newspaper columnist Russ Lemmon about the “infestation” of campaign signs for Gabriel Rothblatt that covered the 8th District:

As I noted last week, Rothblatt sent me an email in May and he said the signs were put out by SpacePAC, a political action committee that is supporting his campaign. He said election laws prohibit him from having contact with SpacePAC.
I said it was a lame excuse, as he surely knows someone who knows someone who could get the word to SpacePAC.
Which inadvertently set the stage for a humorous email from Curtis Carpenter:
“His excuse that it’s a Political Action Committee that is responsible for their placement might almost be believable except for the fact that his parents founded the PAC!”
Yes, it’s true.
SpacePAC was formed by Bina and Martine Rothblatt, according to the website spacepac.us. (Some interesting trivia from the website: “The Rothblatts created Sirius XM satellite radio in 1990.”)
During our initial email exchange, Gabriel Rothblatt didn’t say a word about his parents’ involvement in SpacePAC. I told him that was a pretty big omission on his part.
“The May conversation was brief and any number of topics could either be considered an omission, or just not relevant to a brief directed response and reserved for a still anticipated in-person conversation,” he said Thursday via email.
Seriously? I’m thinking he should have given disclosure of the SpacePAC relationship a much higher priority.

First, does anyone believe that Gabriel Rothblatt is not “coordinating” with a PAC whose sole contributor is his . . . er, ex-father?

It appears the SpacePAC exists solely as a single-donor money-funnel with the goal of electing Martine Rothblatt’s son to Congress. There’s your grassroots party of the working-class “little guy,” eh?

Now, let’s examine the bizarre biography of Martine (neé Martin) Rothblatt: It’s wrong to call him/her Gabriel Rothblatt’s “mother,” because it appears that after undergoing sex-change surgery in 1994 at age 40, Martin/Martine remained married to his/her wife, who is the mother of their four children, Eli, Sunee, Gabriel, and Jenesis. So I guess that means Martin/Martine is a translesbian.

In 1995, Martine Rothblatt published The Apartheid of Sex: Manifesto on the Freedom of Gender, about which we read:

Rothblatt makes a case for the adoption of a new sexual model that accommodates every shade of gender identity. She reveals that traditional male and female roles are dictated neither by genetics, genitals, nor reproductive biology, but rather by social attitudes that originated in early patriarchal cultures and that have been institutionalized in modern law, and she calls a new acceptance of human sexuality in all its prismatic variety. . . .
Arguing that “the legal division of people into males and females is as wrong as the legal division of people into black and white race,” Rothblatt, an attorney and transsexual, is a proponent of “transgenderism,” which she characterizes as a grass-roots movement whose guiding principle is “that people should be free to change, either temporarily or permanently, the sex type to which they were assigned since infancy.” Using a provocative reinterpretation of historical and legal issues, feminist thinking, and scientific research to defend her belief in continua of sex, gender, and sexual identity, Rothblatt sometimes seems unclear of her intended audience.

Yeah, whatever. And if you think that is weird, try this:

In 2004, Rothblatt launched the Terasem Movement, a transhumanist school of thought focused on promoting joy, diversity, and the prospect of technological immortality via mind uploading and geoethical nanotechnology. Through a charitable foundation, leaders of this school convene publicly accessible symposia, publish explanatory analyses, conduct demonstration projects, issue grants, and encourage public awareness and adherence to Terasem values and goals..

So here’s your Gabriel Rothblatt campaign slogan:

VOTE DEMOCRAT
Elect the Millionaire Weirdo’s Son to Congress!

‘I Got Him in a Bloody Puddle for You’: Father Beats Gay Teen Molesting Son

Raymond Frolander is an 18-year-old homosexual who was molesting an 11-year-old boy when the boy’s father caught him:

A father who walked in on a man allegedly sexually assaulting his 11-year-old son beat the man to a pulp before calling police to say they could come collect him from a ‘bloody puddle’ on his floor.
The 35-year-old man, who has not been identified, told a 911 dispatcher in the early hours of Friday: ‘I just walked in on a grown man molesting [name redacted]. And I got him in a bloody puddle for you right now, officer.’
Police arrived at the Daytona Beach home in Florida to find Raymond Frolander, 18, unconscious. . . .
When the 911 responder asked the father if any weapons were involved, he said: ‘My foot and my fist’.
‘He is nice and knocked out on the floor for you, I dragged him into the living room,’ the father said. ‘Send an ambulance. He is going to need one.’
The dispatcher asked: ‘Is he still unconscious?’ to which the father responds: ‘Yes… I hit hard, sir.’
He said that Frolander was a ‘damn lucky boy that I love my God’.
The father added: ‘He stood up and his pants were around his ankles and nothing else needed to be said. I did whatever I got a right to do except I didn’t kill him.’
The father had left his home around 1 am to pick up some food and when he returned, heard a strange noise coming from the bedroom, police said.
He pushed open the door and allegedly found Frolander with his pants down performing a sex act on the child.
The boy told investigators he had been playing video games with friends but when they left, Frolander took him to a back room and pulled down his pants. He also said Frolander had been abusing him for three years.

This had been going on since Frolander was 15 and the boy was 8 — and nobody in the media will us the word “gay” about this story.

Had it not been for the fact that the father caught Frolander in the act, with his pants around his ankles, the father would have been accused of homophobia if he had said he didn’t want this creepy gay teenager hanging around with his son. You’re also a bigoted homophobe if you notice that accused child pornographer Matthew Graziotti — a Cub Scout leader! — liked little boys:

A South Daytona elementary teacher and former youth pastor accused of possessing thousands of child pornography images — including some he produced — remained jailed Tuesday, while federal agents continue to investigate the case.
Matthew Graziotti, 42, was arrested [July 14] after FBI agents searched his Edgewater home and found the illegal images on his laptop, according to a criminal complaint filed in Orlando federal court. . . .
Agents began investigating Graziotti in May, when an undercover agent using a peer-to-peer file sharing program downloaded about 140 child pornography images and six videos from him. . . .
A forensic examiner found 8,761 images in one of Graziotti’s computer folders, many of which depicted the sexual abuse of boys, court records said.
In a folder titled “personally known,” Graziotti created 41 subfolders titled with different boys’ names.
Investigators found pictures in one of those folders of Graziotti sexually abusing a boy in his living room in 2012, court records said.
In another folder, examiners found a picture of a boy asleep on Graziotti’s couch, and the child’s shorts were removed so he was exposed, court records said. That picture was taken in May.

Notice both of these cases occurred in Florida, where the state chapter of the ACLU and the state’s largest gay-rights organization last year supported lesbian sex offender Kaitlyn Hunt, who molested a 14-year-old girl. “Emerging awareness.” IYKWIMAITYD.
