UPDATE: Suspect in Florida School Shooting Identified as Nicholas Cruz; Death Toll 17 in Broward Massacre

A 19-year-old former student went on a shooting rampage today at a high school in Broward County, Florida. At least one person was killed and more than a dozen others injured.

UPDATE: The suspect, Nicholas Cruz, was a known threat:

The former student suspected of opening fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland may been identified a potential threat to fellow students in the past, according to one teacher.
The 19-year-old ex-student, who has been detained by Broward police, has not been publicly identified as a suspect. But a law-enforcement source identified him as Nicolas Cruz.
“We were told last year that he wasn’t allowed on campus with a backpack on him,” said math teacher Jim Gard, who said Cruz had been in his class last year. “There were problems with him last year threatening students, and I guess he was asked to leave campus.”

 

UPDATE II: Nicholas de Jesus Cruz had posted pictures of himself holding guns and knives on his Instagram account.

UPDATE III: “Everyone predicted it,” one student said in a TV interview. Cruz seems to have been rather notorious:

“I stayed clear of him most of the time,” said one teen, who spoke to WSVN, but didn’t give his name.
“He’s been a troubled kid, and he’s always had a certain amount of issues going on,” the boy explained. “He shot guns because he felt it gave him, I guess, an exhilarating feeling. He showed me [his guns] personally through his phone.”
The alleged shooter == identified as Nikolaus Cruz, 19 — had even “joked” about taking out his schoolmates on several occasions, the student said.
“He played around with the joke multiple times,” the teen said. “You know, he knows the layout of the school. He can actually go ahead and he can pinpoint where all the students would be. He’s been through the drills multiple times.”

The death toll is 17, according to Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel, who said Cruz had been expelled from the school “for disciplinary reasons.” Israel said law enforcement has begun to investigate the suspect’s social media and described it as “very disturbing.”

Police say Jessica Jaye Winkler murdered Rhiannon Layendecker.

Another victory for “marriage equality”:

An Englewood woman shot her wife to death during an argument early Saturday in their home and planned to bury the victim’s body in nearby Charlotte County, according to Sarasota County investigators.
Jessica Jaye Winkler, 48, is being charged with murder and tampering with evidence in the death of 51-year-old Rhiannon Layendecker, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office announced Sunday afternoon.
The investigation began when Winkler called 911 at about 3:58 p.m. Saturday to report that she murdered her wife in their home located at 1429 Overbrook Road in Englewood, the sheriff’s office said.
Arriving deputies found the victim’s body wrapped in a blanket in the bed of her own pickup truck, the sheriff’s office said.
Detectives determined that Winkler murdered Layendecker during an argument in their home in the early morning hours of Saturday.
Winkler then attempted to dispose of Layendecker’s body and other evidence, the sheriff’s office said. . . .
Winkler was arrested on Saturday and remained in custody Sunday without bond at the Sarasota County Jail.

Somewhere, a Woman’s Studies professor is trying to think of a way to blame this act of violence against women on the patriarchy.

Report From Family Fleeing Florida

My daughter is eight months pregnant and lives in South Florida. She, her husband and their dog Max are among the mass exodus fleeing the state ahead of Hurricane Irma, expected to hit somewhere near Miami this weekend. They left Thursday morning and by 10 p.m. had reached the vicinity of Savannah, Georgia. Media reports indicate that many gas stations are already out of fuel, long lines are forming at the stations that still have fuel, and highways are beginning to become jammed as hundreds of thousands of vehicles head north.

Traffic was “slow, but we are moving,” my daughter reported late Thursday from Savannah. “We haven’t had too hard of a time so far. Anyone trying to leave south Florida now will be totally screwed.”

Earlier this week, veteran meteorologist Bryan Norcross predicted “an epic movement of people through the State of Florida.” Simply put, with a storm the size and strength of Irma, there is no safe place to be in Florida. Although the current forecast is that Irma will hit the east coast of the peninsula, it might wobble off that path:

“The west coast of Florida — including the Ft. Myers/Cape Coral/Naples area and Tampa Bay — are spectacularly vulnerable to storm surge. Much more so than the east coast, which still has many threatened areas,” Norcross wrote during a lengthy Facebook post Wednesday morning. “If the storm looks like it could go up the west coast, evacuations are going to be required there, which will create an epic movement of people through the State of Florida.
“If this happens, and you are in an evacuated area, do not dawdle. Do not even think about dawdling. Immediate action will be required,” Norcross wrote.

Think about this: If fuel shortages are already being reported on Thursday — three days before the storm is expected to make landfall — what’s the situation going to be like Friday and Saturday? We’re talking about the possibility of a zombie apocalypse type of situation, with people stranded and desperate to get out of Florida. We can expect reports of looting and carjacking. Then think of the many elderly people in Florida’s hospitals and nursing homes who are too frail to travel.

A worst-case scenario is likely to be very bad indeed.

 

Deranged Feminist Attacks Church, Police, ‘Patriarchy’ in Florida

Barbara J. Phillips was arrested in Gainesville.

A mentally ill homeless woman in Florida is accused of vandalizing a policeman’s patrol car and smearing feces on a church where she left the walls defaced with nonsensical writings against “patriarchy.”

Barbara J. Phillips, 40, was charged with charged with stalking, criminal mischief and damaging church property, the Gainesville Sun reported June 19. An arrest report listed Phillips as homeless and said she “appears to be suffering from some mental health problems”:

On June 13, a Gainesville Police Department officer reported his patrol car had a broken passenger mirror and a flat tire, after nails had been placed around the car overnight. His air-conditioning unit was broken and a welcome post from his yard flung into the street, the report said.
About the same time, St. Andrews Church’s leader and his wife reported two similar acts of vandalism, including their power being turned off and nails — that appeared to match the ones placed near the officer’s car — being placed around one of their cars, according to the Alachua County sheriff’s office.
On June 12, two people arrived at the church at 2715 NW 39th Ave., and found feces in front of its front door and smeared on door handles, what appeared to be glue dripping from keyholes, and a number of windows, all cracked in the bottom left corner. They initially saw a gray Prius, later determined to belong to Phillips, in front of the church, driven away as they arrived.
The air-conditioning unit had been tampered with, and nonsensical writings were made in permanent marker on church pillars and doors, which the report described as “rants” about “patriarchy,” “misogyny and sexism” and “bad spirits toward me.”
Phillips . . . had attended some church gatherings at the home of Rev. Ronald Kuykendall, who leads St. Andrew’s Church, he told police.
Phillips told police she believes the reverend had been “attacking her mind” via “the spirit realm,” the report said.

Florida: The Crazy State

Jessica Lazarra is a Florida resident, and also crazy.

The Baker Act is a Florida law passed in 1971 that specifies the conditions under which a person may be involuntarily committed for psychiatric treatment. If you knew that someone had twice been committed under the Baker Act, what career would you advise them to pursue? Well, keep in mind, this is Florida:

A former behavioral therapist is facing a felony molestation charge following a session with two young girls in Polk County.
Jessica Lazzara, 42, was employed with Big Bear Behavioral Health in Maitland and was sent to a Frostproof home as a trauma therapist for the two victims of sexual abuse, ages 11 and 13 years old. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said Tuesday that Lazzara had been their counselor for several months at the point of the incident.
When Lazzara arrived at the home for a weekly session in April, deputies say the 13-year-old would not get out of bed. Lazarra is accused of pointing a small bow and arrow at the victim, then hitting the girl with the arrow.
The two girls and their mother then went to the backyard and were talking with Lazzara. At some point, deputies say the therapist asked the 11-year-old if she wanted to be spanked. Sheriff Judd said Lazzara then rolled the child over and stuck a lighter between the girl’s legs several times.
According to investigators, Lazzara spray-painted the 11-year-old’s legs with black paint then spray-painted the 27-year-old mother’s crotch area.
“Mom was going along with this at the very beginning, because she thought this was some sort of extreme trust exercise,” Sheriff Grady Judd said.
The group then moved to the front yard, where Sheriff Judd said Lazzara lifted her shirt and bra to expose herself before rubbing herself on victim two.
When Lazzara said she was going to kill everyone and herself, the victims locked themselves in the house and called 911.
“They knew their mental health counselor was in mental health crisis and locked themselves in the house,” Sheriff Judd said.
A responding deputy said Lazzara told him to just shoot her. She was then taken for a mental health evaluatioon.
Lazzara has been charged with lewd molestation, lewd and lascivious conduct, child abuse, battery and indecent exposure. She is being held in the Polk County Jail.
During a news conference on Tuesday, Sheriff Judd had serious questions for Lazzara’s former employer, Big Bear Behavioral Health.
According to the sheriff, Lazzara was arrested in 2006 and 2010, for providing alcohol to a minor and DUI. She was Baker Acted for mental health issues in 2005 and 2016.
Lazzara also told deputies she lost her children during a divorce proceeding because of her mental health issues.
“I don’t know if it’s her conduct that upsets me the most, or the fact that Big Bear put somebody with a history, in a home, counseling by herself. My question is, has Jessica lost it with any other children she’s been counseling? And how many people did Big Bear hire with these same issues?” Sheriff Judd questioned.

Woman Gets 25 Years in Prison for Her Role in Florida Teen Sex-Slavery Case

Marie Johnson was sentenced last week to 25 years in prison for helping her husband keep a teenage orphan as their sex slave for five years.

The victim, apparently a relative, was 13 when her mother died and she was sent to live with Rob and Marie Johnson in Port St. Lucie, Florida:

She was told she had to have sex with the Johnsons to be accepted into their family, according to court records. The victim is now 22 and lives out of state.
Rob Johnson cited Old Testament references to men having multiple wives and he called her his second wife, according to testimony.
She was threatened with foster care, not allowed to use the phone and had to rehearse explanations to give if doctors asked about her sex life. She was home-schooled and not allowed out of the house, according to court records.
She escaped the house when she turned 18.

According to police documents, Marie Johnson pushed the girl against a wall and held her by her throat until the girl agreed to the couple’s sexual demands. The girl said she had to have sex with the couple twice a week. She was told to call Rob “master,” and was beaten when she didn’t follow the couple’s directions or complete her chores. In February, Rob Johnson, 46, was convicted by a jury on 87 counts of sexual battery on a child age 12 or older by a person with familial or custodial authority. Prosecutor Brandon White called it “one of the worst cases of sexual abuse ever to come into this courthouse.” Judge James McCann sentenced Rob Johnson to 87 consecutive life terms in prison.

According to testimony, Marie Johnson took the girl shopping at Wal-Mart to purchase matching negligees for them, and asked the girl what music she would like playing as she lost her virginity. Marie Johnson pleaded guilty to 88 counts — one charge more than her husband, to include a sexual encounter she had with the girl when her husband was not present — and provided corroborating testimony against her husband. Testifying by telephone at Marie Johnson’s sentencing, the victim, now 22, said: “Marie should have protected me like one of her own children. She did not do that at all. In fact, she did quite the opposite.”

The prosecutor recommended that Marie Johnson be sentenced to 12 years in prison and 20 years’ probation, saying, “It was pretty clear that Rob Johnson was the mastermind and brainwashed both the wife and the victim.” However, Judge McCann exceeded the prosecutor’s request, sentencing her to 25 years in prison and 25 years of sex-offender probation. Judge McCann noted that Marie Johnson had threatened to put the girl in foster care if she didn’t submit to the couple’s sexual demands. Marie Johnson’s participation in the abuse of the girl “was nothing short of complete,” the judge said. “That’s completely unforgivable. Even the brainwashing doesn’t excuse you.”

 

Tampa Teacher @LoraJane Hates Christians, Promotes LGBT in Class

The state of Florida pays Lora Jane Riedas to promote atheism and homosexuality at Riverview High School. She also teaches math:

A teacher in Orlando, Florida is under fire for allegedly forcing students to take off their Christian cross necklaces, and for “promoting an LGBT agenda” in class.
The Tampa Bay Times reports the Liberty Counsel organization sent a letter to Hillsborough County Superintendent Jeff Eakins claiming that teacher Lora Jane Riedas “barred at least three students from wearing Christian crosses on necklaces in her classroom, claiming they are ‘gang symbols.’”
Riedas, a math teacher at Riverview High School, also engaged in gay rights political activism during class time, according to the complaint.
“Ms. Riedas clearly seeks opportunities to engage in GLSEN-directed classroom activism, which has called on teachers to use its ‘Educator Guide’ to promote GLSEN’s views about homosexuality and gender confusion on ‘Day of Silence,’ and to do so this Friday, April 21, 2017,” Liberty Counsel President Mat Staver wrote.

 

Did I mention she’s a Democrat? Because that’s what this is really about. Democrats hate Jesus, Democrats run the public schools and they want every kid in Florida to be an atheist homosexual Democrat. If you are a Florida parent who voted for Donald Trump, your tax dollars are paying for schools where Democrats teach your children to hate you.

How did this happen? Democrats control the university system (nearly all political donations by top professors go to Democrats) and a university degree is required to become a public school teacher. Because Democrats control teachers’ unions (which gave nearly $30 million to Democrats in 2016), they also control the hiring process in public schools, and are usually able to dominate local school board elections. Democrats use their control of the taxpayer-supported education system to promote the Democrat Party agenda, indoctrinating children with atheism and socialism, and encouraging sexual deviance among young people.

It is impossible to exaggerate how decadent the U.S. public school system has become. Liberty Counsel reports that Riedas’ lesbian partner, Riverview High chemistry teacher Valerie Chuchman, “dressed as a nun for school spirit week, complete with a ‘cross necklace’ made of skulls. She tweeted she has ‘a bad habit’ and the point is to be ‘creepy.'”

When the Democrats who control the school system talk about “diversity” and “inclusion,” this is a code for attacking Christianity.

In their letter to the superintendent of Hillsborough County schools, the Liberty Counsel lawyers cite two Supreme Court decisions:

The law is also clear that parents, not agents of the state, including Ms. Riedas, and certainly not GLSEN, have the right to direct the upbringing and associations of their children. The law presumes that parents possess what a child lacks in maturity, experience, and capacity for judgment required for making life’s difficult decisions, not activist school employees.  “The fundamental theory of liberty upon which all governments in this Union repose excludes any general power of the State to standardize its children. . . The child is not the mere creature of the State;” Pierce v. Society of Sisters, 268 U.S. 510 (1925). (Emphasis added). “The history and culture of Western civilization reflect a strong tradition of parental concern for the nurture and upbringing of their children. This primary role of the parents in the upbringing of their children is now established beyond debate as an enduring American tradition.” Wisconsin v. Yoder, 406 U.S. 205 (1972).

The public school system is anti-Christian and also anti-American. Why? Because the Democrat Party hates Christians and hates America.

 

College Girls: Prostitutes and Democrats

Hey, buddy, how’d you like to get it on with a couple of college girls? Well, the going rate is $5,000, according to police in Coral Gables, Florida, where University of Miami student Acacia Friedman, 23, and Florida International University student Samara Charlotin, 19, were arrested Wednesday in a sting operation. The deal with an undercover cop was reportedly negotiated by Friedman’s fellow Miami student Maury Noun, 21. Charlotin was also charged for possession of oxycontin and marijuana. According to Heavy.com, it appears that the enterprising student/pimp Noun is a Trump supporter, while Friedman’s online profile shows she supported Bernie Sanders for president in last year’s Democrat primaries.
