We luv huh! We love every twangy, non-blue-state approved word. We love the thought of heads in the Lefty Borg going critical and triggering a chain-reaction ‘splosion of new-clear proportions.

Go, Sarah!

The Privilege Of Meeting Allen West

Cubachi catches up the latest details of the Florida Democrat idiocy, where they are now offering to pay for theft monitoring “in order to stop the crazy West accusations” after spilling Privacy Act information.
Stacy and I got to meet Allen West at CPAC. What a fine, solid American. Dems: you messed with the wrong dude. Recommendation to the Dems in Florida and elsewhere is to accept a crushing defeat in the election quietly, reflectively. Ponder where you’ve become an un-American, un-Constitutional pack of louts. Repent.

Update: Thanks to commenters for the spelling help. Sheesh.

Ted Kennedy and Other Liberal Heroes

Posted on | September 21, 2010 | 17 Comments

The Ted Kennedy Memorial Punchline was fairly popular on Twitter, earning re-Tweets and praise from Leather Penguin, among others. I explained:

@LeatherPenguin Liberals insist Teddy be treated with awestruck reverence. He needs to be mocked, and often, and by someone who knows how.

And elaborated:

@LeatherPenguin Generally speaking, anyone or anything liberals especially idolize deserves the same treatment.

Liberalism may be defined as the philosophy of error.

Liberals are liberals because they believe things that are not true. The intensity of any particular liberal belief is directly proportional to its wrongness. Therefore, the biggest lies are the ones they consider the most important truths.

Ted Kennedy never met a bad policy he wouldn’t support or a good policy he would not oppose. To cite just one glaring example: While Ronald Reagan was trying to win the Cold War, Teddy was secretly trying to help the Soviets win.

Teddy’s life was one long lesson in How to Deserve the Contempt of All Decent, Honest and Intelligent People.

That Ted Kennedy was always 100% wrong about everything explains why he remains a heroic symbol before whom liberals require us to genuflect in worshipful awe. And until you’re ready to piss on Teddy’s grave and call him what he was — a drunken, lecherous, immoral monstrosity — you are an accomplice in his wrongness.

The same holds true for Jimmy Carter who — until Jan. 20, 2009 — held the unquestioned distinction of being The Worst President in American History. He has recently claimed to be the Best Ex-President Ever. Dan Collins says we should all be grateful about the “ex” part of that formulation.

Carter has not yet, however, become the only kind of good Democrat. You know — like Ted Kennedy.

IowaHawk’s Jim Anchower Moment

IowaHawk retreated from Twitter long enough to spin the President’s inane car metaphors into a jolly shaggy dog story.

However, I must protest that casting the President in Jim Anchower light is rather unfair to a fictional character, albeit a trashy stoner idiot.

Who Are Christine O’Donnell’s Enemies?

Posted on | September 21, 2010 | 42 Comments

CBS News has this headline:

Watchdog: Christine O’Donnell “Clearly a Criminal”

But who is the “watchdog”? Longtime O’Donnell supporter Jerry Wilson explained this Saturday:

The group in question, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), is funded in part by individuals who are members of the Democracy Alliance. The Democracy Alliance was created in 2005 by former members of the Clinton administration in conjunction with George Soros and other like-minded wealthy individuals, determined to have a greater influence in the political process. Despite the claims of CREW it is non-partisan, its record features far more calls for investigation of Republicans than Democrats, while the Democrats it has asked to be investigated have overwhelmingly leaned toward either the moderate side of things, or been ridiculously easy targets such as Charlie Rangel.
Yeah, there’s a trusted impartial source.

And as Lisa Graas at NewsReal points out, Soros is heavily invested in trying to pass the cap-and-trade legislation:

As Soros stands to gain potentially billions in revenue from Cap and Trade, a pledge to vote against the legislation is a top priority for O’Donnell. How far will Soros’ minions go to prevent her election?

“Ironic” is probably not the right word to describe the fact that O’Donnell — who, if elected Nov. 2, would become the poorest member of the U.S. Senate — is being targeted by a group funded by a greedy billionaire. “Predictable” might be a much better word.

As to the charge that O’Donnell is a “criminal,” well . . .

New Definition of ‘Hate’: Conclusively Proving How Stupid Democrats Are

Posted on | September 21, 2010 | 19 Comments

My friend Andrew Marcus at Founding Bloggers produced this video, which I found via my friend Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit. To call Glenn Beck a “coward”? Easy. To claim that Tea Party activists are motivated by “hate”? Easy. But to call Andrew Breitbart a “faggot” while doing these things is to invite yourself to one of the greatest intellectual ass-kickings in history — as guest of honor:

That this mob of epithet-spewing union goons was fomented by President Obama’s “Organizing for America” illustrates a point that is the exact reverse of the MSM’s narrative. It is not Beck, Breitbart and the Tea Parties who are stupid, hateful and ignorant pawns.

BTW, Andrew Breitbart is a married father of four. He’s about 6-foot-2 and 230 pounds. I don’t doubt that he could have literally kicked the asses of the people calling him “faggot.” It’s rather interesting to discover that the most rabid supporters of Barack Obama’s Democrats — you know, the party trying to overturn “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” in the Senate — so quickly resort to calling people “faggot” when they’re angry.

Shiny New GOP Legislative Agenda Due This Thursday

Posted on | September 21, 2010 | 11 Comments

by Smitty

Bearing Drift relays what could be a fairly big deal:

ABC news was told today that the GOP’s official agenda will be unveiled on Thursday at a small hardware [store] in Sterling, Virginia. Congressman Boehner is expected to be accompanied by a few other members of leadership and local business owners. The GOP’s new agenda, which has been compared to the 1994 “Contract with America,” will include legislation related to jobs, spending, health care, national security, and reforming Washington.

A few thoughts:

  • Whatever Boehner unveils will immediately become ammunition for the Democrats. One hopes the man has the wit to tie the agenda directly to Constitutional clauses, bullet for bullet. That way, when the Dems attempt to send it downrange, the ammunition will strike the Dems in the foot.
  • Clearly the agenda is going to fall short of whatever the harder-core Tea Party attendees (that’s me) would have sought. Patience. The current situation has been a century in the brewing, and shall be un-baked neither quickly nor simply nor painlessly. Let’s keep the feedback positive and concise. Or, as I learned a couple of decades ago, railing at length earns nothing but contempt from a weary audience.
  • Even though the Tea Partiers are a pack of johnny-come-almost-too-lately amateurs, the GOP has to take them seriously. A repeat of the Gingrich Congress, where both sides of the aisle remembered that they are Ruling Class members first, Americans second, and continued the Progressive deconstruction of all we hold dear Will Not Do. Understood, the Tea Partiers need to maintain the interest level through 2012 and beyond, but the GOP has to accept the fact that the Internet has changed politics as much as everything else.  Small amounts of people making large decisions in centralized, isolated places is not the future.  Boehner will be presiding over the deconstruction of the Progressive era, and ushering in a post-Progressive era, or become acquainted with the underside of the bus.

Rep. Boehner, you have our support, so long as your principles remain pure.

Update:

Via Volokh, Nate Silver is well worth your time. RTWT, but note the conclusion:

But there is one fundamental Republican problem that the Tea Party has not resolved: the brand remains extremely unpopular among large segments of the public. In fact, the Tea Party is in some ways a reaction to this: particularly after Delaware, we should probably take the Tea Party at its word that stands in opposition to the Republican and Democratic establishments alike.

How loyal will voters who were inspired by the Tea Party remain to the Republican Party -– and how loyal will Republicans remain to the Tea Party? The relationship is to some extent one of convenience. The Tea Party has candidates full of energy and chutzpah and some fresh-seeming ideas, but it lacks, on its own, the infrastructure to get these candidates elected. The Republican Party, meanwhile -– while short on popular ideas and popular leaders -– has access to money, voter lists, and experienced strategic hands. To some extent, the Tea Party is renting the Republicans’ electoral infrastructure.

But once some Tea Party candidates are in power, what need will they have for the skeleton of the Republican establishment? And how much will the Republican establishment, sensing this, default into self-preservation?
